HJC RPHA 10 Helmet - Solid
Exactly what I was looking for!
After my husband purchased his Motorcycle, I spent 3-4 weeks looking for a helmet that was comfortable for me! My husband has a Shoei---and I hate it. It is very uncomfortable to me! I tried on $600 helmets, all the way down to $50 Helmets! This one is the best fitting helmet that I could find! I tried this one on in a store, and the store wanted almost double this price for it! Not something I was willing to do--Revzilla had it the price I was looking for. It is a great deal! This helmet is really quiet--much quieter than I anticipated! It is light, and fits my head nicely! My only gripe is that there isn't really any room for sunglasses! So, Both of the temples broke on my sunglasses because of the helmet pressure! Also, my fog shield did not fit when I got it...my husband had to make a larger hole in the shield, and then it fit fine! Also, this helmet was manufactured in 2012, so just understand that you are getting an older helmet when you purchase this. I didn't have a problem with it, because I loved the fit!

After the lining in my Shoei disintegrated a couple of weeks ago I realised it was time to invest in another helmet.
The RPHA10 has got to be one of the best buying choices I have ever made. Light, comfortable, quiet and for my tastes the Anthracite solid colour without graphics is perfect.
Only small issue I have is that the visor is either up or down, the ratchet system can't hold it just open for extra air flow. But in saying this I bought a darker visor and kept it shut on the open road and opened it fully when going slow through towns so no big deal. Highly recommend this helmet and very happy with my purchase. And Thanks Revzilla for having a closeout on them. makes it affordable when buying from NZ.
Cheers guys, Steve

Got the helmet at closeout price. Great price for the helmet. Styling could be a little more aggressive but good overall. Doesn't seem too loud.

A lot of helmet for the money
The helmet has excellent airflow, none of the vent holes were blocked by the padding and inner liner. Finish and materials seem to be on par with much higher priced helmets I have had in the past. No noticeable buffeting at highway speeds. The helmet does have some wind noise, but it is not at the level of annoying. The helmet has a "cool factor" as I have received several positive comments on it's looks. All in all an excellent value on a very good helmet

Try it first and buy it cautiously; it can be loud
I bought this helmet sometime ago to replace an aging Shoei. Truth be told, I bought it because it was at a good price for a premium helmet, and liked how it look and how it (initially) fit. Therein lies the problem, at least for me.
I have what you'd call an oval head that tends to run a bit on the long side from top to bottom. As soon as I broke in the helmet, the trouble started. It was incredibly loud at speeds over 20 mph, even with the chin curtain on. When I visited a friend that lived about 30 miles away, my ears were ringing from the loudness. So I went down from XL size to L, to see if maybe it was maybe too big and thus, the air pockets. Needless to say, it didn't solve my problem, and then it started to hurt too.
Why the odd fit? Again, in my case, I felt my entire head from top to bottom was not being covered by the helmet. In other words, it always ran too small from top to bottom regardless of the size. I felt the bottom of the cheek pads were in the middle of my cheeks, instead of covering my entire head (again from top to bottom).
Buy it cautiously. If if it's the right fit for your head, it's an awesome helmet.

Loud for my head shape
I want to like the helmet, but apparently with my head shape it is extremely loud. Wind noise just channels right up to the bottom of my ears. Even with ear plugs it is almost unbearable.
If I "shrug" my shoulders it goes dead quite or if I wear my beleclauva with earplugs.
Apart from that it is a nice helmet. It is a little snug against my cheeks but I don't dare to order thinner pads as I fear the noise would be worse. (If that's possible)
I've ridden a couple thousand miles with it with temps ranging from 95 down to about 28 and bright sun and pouring rain. (Midwest) I keeps my head cool when needed and warm with all vents closed and curtain installed. The pinlock insert works great!
Double check head shape and size! Other than that it's a great helmet!

Graphics are awesome
I have a round head and the helmet fits great. It has a race fit but super comfortable. If you wear glasses it sucks to put them on but it is doable. Once you get them on it is very comfortable. Venting works great and Pinlock is awesome feature. I do have to say that even with ear plugs it is a loud helmet. I still love it though. I have always been a Shoei guy but this is a sweet helmet. I would definitely recommend it.
