HJC RPHA 10 Buzzsaw Helmet
Louder than expected for $350 helmet
This helmet fit a little snug when I first purchased it but after about 2 months, the pads seem to have compressed more than I would think and now it's actually a little loose. Also it is noticebaly louder than the Scorpion Exo 500 I owned and an older Fulmar helmet on the same cruiser. Lastly, I purchased a mirrored face shield from another website and the mirrored coating has just about completely rubbed off after 2 months. There is NO durability with the mirror coating whatsoever and its not even from scratches. It rubbed off with water and microfiber cloth when I had to clean bugs off.

Was reluctant about spending that kind of money on a helmet, but glad that I did. The buzzsaw is comfortable and looks good. The top vents work very well, the front one works ok. The foam padding on the inside is very soft and I don't mind wherein it for hours. I would recommend thus helmet to others and I would by another one if needed.

First helmet in 15 years...
Just bought a Yamaha FZ-09 and the RPHA Buzzsaw with the similar color metallic orange. Ive been out of the cycling world for 15 years, so everything is so much more high tech than my old Arai helmets. I have a 22 inch head, so I went with the small, which is quite tight, but I'm hoping it will "wear in" a little over time. So far I am impressed with the quality, quietness of this helmet, but I'm no pro.

Best helmet I've had
I'm really happy with this helmet. I had Scorpion EXO-1000, Joe Rocket RKT, Bilt Explorer, Shoei RF-1000 and so far this helmet beats all of them. It is extremely light weight and quiet. I installed BT receive to listen to music w/o any problem with comfort and noise. I will have to say it's a well made helmet. I threw the liners into the washers a few times and they are still intact, but I wash the liner by hands now, it's cleaner that way. I put a sun glass on once and it's tight. Recommend getting a smoke visor instead. The fog shield is truly awesome. All other helmets got fogged up in cold days, except this one. I wear this helmet everyday and weekend rides up to 6 hrs w/o any discomfort. The only upgrade I think HJC should do is installing the quick release instead of using double D-rings. That would attract more people who love lots of features from the helmet. If you haven't bought one, get it, you won't regret. It fit just like Anthony said in the video. Enjoy.

This is the first helmet I have owned, so I don't really have anything to compare it to. However I do really enjoy the helmet. It bothered my ears at first while taking the helmet off but now that it is worn it, it fits great. Bit pricey but it is well worth it.

Well....it did its job. Lowsided at 30mph just a few weeks after purchase, and smacked my head into the ground something fierce. I walked away with just a mild concussion: my friend I was riding with was terrified I was going to have serious head trauma after watching me hit my head so hard, but all I left with was just a bit of a headache. You get what you pay for! That Snell rating might have really saved me from serious problems. I was real sad having to toss it after the crash with that hefty price tag, but you can't put a price on your brain.
Feature wise, it was a pretty solid helmet. Really good venting, visibility was good, wasn't too heavy, and the inside padding was super comfortable once you got it on.
Only real problem I had was it was a bit small for my head despite measuring and re-measuring my head about 5 times before buying; it favors the longer oval head. I was a real struggle getting it on, especially because I have several ear piercings and they like to catch on the padded inserts.
If you have the right shaped head, I would highly recommend it! Ride safe!

Great for the price.
The only other helmet i've worn is a too small, super super old, arai, so not sure how this helmet relates to other ones on the market right now. But anyway here goes:
The Good: It's SUPER comfy. good lord it's comfy. It fits well in all the right places and no hot spots. I was worried because i tried on an FG-17 and wondered if this would be too small since some said this model runs smaller than the others but it fits perfect. Cheek pads are a little tighter, but they're supposed to be, it's a track inspired helmet, i wouldn't want it looser. Top vents work great, can feel it through the hair which is real nice. And it just looks ridicu-sweet. I want to go riding just to have the thing on.
The Bad: I really just have two complaints, one more than the other. 1st and foremost, it's a LOUD helmet. Like I still think i'll be wearing earplugs level loud. For being tested in a wind tunnel for so long, you would think they'd have noticed that. But i guess you have to give something up for the mid range price instead of premium $600 or up. 2nd, and just more of a quip, the chin vent doesn't really seem to do much. I found myself checking during the ride to see if it was open or not, and couldn't tell the slightest difference either way. granted i live in colorado, early spring ride at dusk, and only got up to about 55mph, so that might be it. I'll see if it makes any more difference once the temp starts reaching the 90-100's instead of just the 40-50's and higher speeds.
Overall, love it and would recommend. A few quips, it being loud is a biggie, but for the price, you can't beat it.

Top quality and design for modest price
Here's a lid that compares with the other, more expensive brands in performance but is priced so much more modestly. I bought the buzz saw graphic in red, and I love it. I get lots of head turns when I'm riding my bright red ZX-6R!
