This helmet has everything I was looking for. The internal sun visor is great. It deploys and retracts smoothly. I wore a 3/4 helmet before choosing a ff helmet and have to wear prescription glasses so I wanted a helmet that had the visor for day time and clear shield for night since I don't have prescription sunglasses. The fit is good. A little tight on the cheekbones but with time it has molded more to my face. I do not feel any pressure points on my head when wearing it. Airflow is good but then anything with vents is better than what I was wearing before. Road noise is minimal compared to the 3/4 helmet I wore even with a bubble shield. Overall great product for the price since I was looking for something around the $200 mark.
Revzilla was easy to work with and navigate through the options. Amazingly fast shipping. No problems whatsoever.

I love this helmet but...
So first off, this is my first helmet purchase. I ordered it with the pinlock insert and the chin curtain. It arrived in a timely manner (three days after I ordered it). I love the graphics. I think the detents on the visor are awesome and love the slight pop-up on the first detent. Also love the center positioned visor lock. I wore it around the house for an hour or two to make sure it would be comfortable. I ordered a medium and it is pretty snug but I think it probably should be. No real noticeable uncomfortable positions other than I felt like it was squeezing my cheeks a bit but I believe that would dissapate as the pads wore in, or I could order smaller cheek pads. I also wear glasses, and feel that they were in a weird position on my face with the cheek pads pushing them up behind my ears but it wasn't bad enough that it bothered me when I got used to it after a few minutes. As I was wearing it around the house, my glasses fogged up before either the visor or sun-shield did. Note this was also without the pinlock insert installed and with all the vents closed and the visor locked down. I think I can thank that breath deflector for that.
Now, the one bad thing about the helmet. This is something I was concerned about and have seen in multiple reviews: the mechanism for the sun-shield is rather faulty. It seems the spring-loaded aspect of it was carried out poorly. Whether this be because something got inside and clogged it I don't know. When retracting the shade, it didn't retract all the way which meant I had to reach back and manually pull it back the rest of the way. After playing with it for awhile, hoping there was some debris or something clogging it up, it stopped working all together. I will be exchanging this helmet for the same one, hoping I just got a bad one or something.

Fun, quality helmet!
I purchased the IS-17 Genesis as a replacement for an old HJC CS-12; I'll be using this as my primary comparison, though I've worn a few others as well.
Color and graphic look great. The orange is bright and highly visible and complements my cobalt blue FZ-1.
The construction seems tight and solid, even though the helmet shell is comprised of "plates" rather than one encompassing outer shell.
Helmet shape is a slender, long fit. What this means (at least for me) is that getting it on and off over the ears can be a bit uncomfortable but is snug and unmoving once on. The medium fits my head perfectly, even better than the old helmet which is broken in for my head shape.
Chinstrap isn't the most comfortable I've ever worn, but is fine with some adjustment.
Visibility is good and wide. However, downward visibility seemed to suffer some from the old helmet.
The visor attachment system is MUCH improved over the old one. Visor pops on and off with ease and no fear of breaking the holding tabs; yeah, that happened to me in the past.
Access to the integral sunshield is easy in deploying and retracting. Perhaps a little cumbersome one-handing it while in motion, but not too bad overall. The tint of the integral sunshield is a very light smoke, so I'd still recommend a tinted visor; I sprung for the dark smoke.
Airflow is average at best, which I found strange considering the helmet has front to rear flow venting. My old helmet didn't have rear vents other than at the neck but seemed to have superior air flow at high speeds.
This helmet is also pretty loud compared to the old helmet. Lots of wind noise.
All things considered though, I feel I'm being a pretty harsh critic. The helmet is fun and awesome and feels great on my head. I love the one-of-a-kind look and asymmetric graphic.

The new helmet lock and detents on this helmet are awesome! I have never had an expensive helmet but I consider HJC to have minimal wind noise and this one has minimal wind noise. Very nice popping colors (orange). Just a well made helmet that fits my round head well. The improvements on this new model are great!
If I had to nitpick, it does not come with a chin curtain and the one you can order is very small. My eyeglasses sit up off the cheekpads some as well.
I tried a Noland helmet and it was very noisy compared to the HJC.
