HJC HJ-20 Pinlock Lens Insert 4.7 5 10 10
Long-term (90 day) review 90 days in and the pinlock is doing its job. Ridden into work on a couple rainy days and no fogging whatsoever. October 19, 2015
Good Product. Very good product , not underlies and can use in rain or cold days . They can buy . December 8, 2014
Does a great job, but the fit took some adjustment Once properly installed the insert definitely does the job of not fogging up, but it took some finesse to get in installed properly. The insert was too tight between the pins which caused it to push too hard on the visor. This resulted in the insert surface actually touching the visor surface where it shouldn't. There should be a gap between the two, but the force was too high and you would get a weird rainbow effect where they touched. Some small adjustment to the notches with an exacto knife released a little tension and the fit is now perfect. November 4, 2014
Works as advertised. There's nothing much to say about a pinlock lens. If your full face helmet fogs, the pinlock lens will keep it from fogging. It works, and I'm glad to have it. February 10, 2014
Great use for all riders Allows me to keep the visor closed at all times without having to worry about the visor getting fogged up. Makes the ride more comfortable and safer. January 20, 2014
Fog fighter This work excellent on the cold weather, it should be not an option. July 28, 2013
If you like money in your pocket. this helmet is for you I love the helmet !!! the light weight well design RPHA -10 is for the rider that knows what comfort is. May 2, 2013
Love it! I have never had a fogged lense with a pinlock, and this fits perfectly. worth every penny. i purchased this to go along with my smoke shield i purchased so i wouldnt have to switch over my pinlock lense back and forth. works great! January 16, 2013

Thomas K: thought it would work, but it didn't. Way too difficult to get a seal against the visor. Oct 19, 2015
Ryan P: Old one scratched Sep 25, 2015
Justin E: Cause my HJC helmet is holding up great after 3 years of use. But the insert is difficult to see through now. I ordered a new visor and pinlock insert instead of a whole new helmet. Sep 5, 2015
Patrick H: Morning temps in the 40s, result in annoying fog on visors. Pinlock is the perfect solution, have ridden down to mid-30s fahrenheit temps with zero fog. Bought one for both colors of shield. Aug 29, 2015
A s: Needed a new pinlock lens for my HJC RPHA helmet. Aug 2, 2015
GM F: spare May 12, 2015

Samuel K: These really work to COMPLETELY eliminate visor fogging. Here in SW Florida it is so humid most visors will fog with the first breath once the helmet goes on. Not so with my pinlock-equipped RPHA-10 helmet. Good stuff. Apr 3, 2014
Chadrick D: The Pinlock insert came with my RHPA 10 helmet, and it works wonders. It is very clear, and it keeps the fog out. I ordered a second insert to go with my dark smoke shield. Feb 23, 2014
Brandon M: Because it keeps my shield from fogging up on my RPHA 10 Jan 22, 2014
Maria G: Allows for me to keep the visor closed at all times and not worry about the visor getting fogged up. One less thing to worry about while riding the bike :) Dec 30, 2013
Jim M: You need the anti-fog, dude. Dec 14, 2013
Lawrence Z: Even though I live in South Texas, it still gets cold. OK, I admit it's not below freezing here very often, but we have a damp cold that feel 20 degrees colder than the actual temp, especially when the wind chill is factored in. I need this to keep the visor clear. Dec 3, 2013
Gabriel A: I currently have the HJC RPHA helmet with the pin lock insert and I am happy with it. Nov 30, 2013

Connor B asked: I'm confused as to how this product works, anybody care to explain it to me? Sep 29, 2015

Jim M: The flexible plastic insert has a soft gasket around the edge which seals to your visor, creating a small insulating airgap. Making in effect a double pane window. The outer surface of your visor is in contact with the cold air outside, but your hot, humid breath doesn't come in contact with the inner surface of the cold visor, but the warmer surface of the flexible pinlock insert so fog doesn't form. Works like a charm! Sep 29, 2015

Shelby E: It is placed on the inside of the visor and a gap of air is created between the inner wall of the visor and the insert. Works great and keeps your breath from creating fog on the inside of the visor. Oct 7, 2015

Douglas C: Basically it traps a very small portion of air between the insert and visor. Not really sure about the science behind how it works, but it works well, as long as you install it properly. Sep 29, 2015
