HJC FG-17 Ace Helmet
First full face helmet
Worth the money. This helmet has all the things you are looking for in a full face helmet, and trust me, I did a lot of research before spending a couple hundred bucks. The package arrived sooner than expected. So far with this helmet I've ridden in the rain, 90+ degree heat, 40 degree cold, sunshine, highway, short local trips, it's all around a great helmet. I get lots of compliments on the graphics.

Superb value for a great helmet
First, I must have an oval head because tried multiple Shoei helmets and none fit right. I have had HJC before, but this one is a major step up from my old CL-17. A few things I really like: comfort, air flow is great, dark visor makes helmet look great and tint is good. The helmet is a bit loud and I am probably missing other great features $500+ helmets offer, but this is such an improvement over my past helmet and does many things well that for the price can't be beat.

Only thing I see wrong is the visor seal. Let's fog and little bugs in. Also wish there were speaker cutouts in shell. Helmet is sick tho

A little loud but a great helmet
I've only been able to wear the helmet a few times this year so far but first impression is pretty good. This is my second HJC helmet (First one was very basic). The helmet is light has good ventilation but wind noise at highway speeds it is loud but tolerable. I paired the black helmet with the dark smoke shield and it looks awesome. Great viewing from peripherals as well. Cheek pads are little tight but I feel it may break in after awhile. Over all great bang for your buck and I'm happy with the purchase.

This helmet is really cute and fits well, I had to get a large because I have big hair lol but I love the way it snugs my face and is quiet when I ride.

Replaced an old X-11 (didn't have X-11/14 money this time) , was worried about fit but the shape and size is spot on, very pleased.
The girlfriend love it too, so she got the Futura print.
Revzilla's fast shipping and great customer service will bring me back every time, thank you!

Great for guys with skinny fingers
This is a DOT & SNELL rated full face helmet. I have the yellow graphic and it looks stunning in person. For the price I got it at, it was a steal. The outer shell is fiberglass, has really cool graphics. The yellow matches well with a Hi-Viz jacket. It has 3 vents that can be opened/closed; 2 on the top sides and one chin vent. It also has rear exit vents that are always open. This is my first helmet so take my review with a grain of salt. At 75+ mph this helmet is quite loud. I would def recommend earplugs. Even if you have vents closed, cold air will still get in. Doing head checks, will result in your glasses being pushed into the bridge of your nose.
They say the chin strap helps but I doubt it. The chin curtain looks like a joke. It doesn't look like it's gonna help at all. There's a reason it's only $X dollars. I decided not to buy it after seeing it in person; it is a perforated, plastic piece that doesn't looks effective. You'll have to use earplugs if doing on longer 75+ mph rides.
I bought the small version and it fits me perfectly. I recommend this helmet to all new riders because it is a great helmet with good features. With such an affordable price tag, you also don't compromise on safety features (it's snell rated) and you can swap out the shields for a tinted one.
I also want to note that when you order this, don't get the pinlock right away. Wait until you get the shipment- I was told by Revzilla staff in Philly store that sometimes HJC ships these lids with the pinlock insert included. I was one of the lucky ones and hence returned my pinlock insert. Pinlock works but if you have glasses- it's unfortunate because your glasses will fog up while the helmet visor will be clear. Again, this is not the helmets fault but just wanted to mention this.

Great helmet for the price
Was between a handful of helmets, and concluded on this one mainly because I found a closeout design that knocked a substantial amount off the price (would highly recommend going that route).
So as far as the good goes: The helmet breaks in nicely, the vents work well, it's fiberglass, so it's good protection and it's light enough that it doesn't leave my neck craned at the end of a ride. It's good looking, the visor is easy to remove, I presume it's aerodynamic (unless you're behind an 18-wheeler!) and the pinlock readiness is a very nice feature.
The bad: It doesn't come with a chin curtain, and you'll need one to keep wind from blasting through, the regular visor without the pinlock won't stay fog-free, so you'll need one before riding, the wind noise is a little bit much at a certain speed, but the chin curtain helps. This helmet's cheek pads are also pretty big, I've contemplated buying a new pair to swap them out with. A minor thing: it's doesn't have as many vents as you may want, just two on the top and one at the chin. Lastly, it doesn't have cutouts for speakers like a few similar helmets that this price-point have,
Bottom line: I'd recommend this helmet, especially if you get it with an older design on a closeout deal, but it's important to keep in mind that you're looking about about $35-65 bucks in extras if you want it to perform at it's peak (pinlock visor, chin curtain, possibly new cheek pads and other add-ons)
