Held Sambia Gloves
I initially saw these at a motorcycle convention and tried them on and remembered loving their feel. VERY soft and great quality leather. BUT, after owning them...I must admit, I've had better alpine stars. For instance, they don't breath as much as you would think with those big knuckle protections. But if you look closely, there's just a little sliver on each knuckle. Also, because it's soft inside leather, your fingers can sometimes feel a little sticky in there even though it's not sticky, that's just the smooth leather. And lastly, because the knuckle protection covers a large area of the upper glove, making a fist forces you to use that flexible rubber/plastic mix. So not as flexible for use - off the throttle, like pumping gas, holding keys, digging in your pocket, etc...
I do believe they will protect me in an accident. Not 100% on that super soft leather but that doesn't necessarily means it's weak. ...just feels so, so soft :)

Good 3 season glove
I have had these gloves for 2 years using them from spring through autumn in both road and dual sport situations. They fit well and have plenty of protection with some airflow on the summer days. I have just come back from a week of riding the Washington BDR and have noticed the stitching is starting to give way on both index fingers. I will get them repaired and continue to use them.
I like these gloves and would definitely buy them again.

Post crash review
I took these gloves on a multi-day trip with the KTM 690 of mixed on-road, dirt road, and trails a few weeks ago and these gloves where great for all but the coldest parts (30-40 deg F). With any speed at all the gloves have plenty of airflow across the back of the hands and between the fingers. My palms did tend to get a bit sweaty in the really slow and hot sections however. No big deal, you certainly wouldn't want a mesh palm!
On the last day of the trip I had a tank slapper on-road at about 60 mph and came off pretty hard. The details of the crash are hazy to me but I gather that my right hand came down palm first and then rolled over so I was sliding with the back of my pinkie and ring finger against the road. The leather wrap part on the pinkie held up admirably, and in retrospect I would've liked it to extend further and cover more of my pinkie since the mesh didn't hold up at all. I would sacrifice the pinkie airflow for a more comprehensive leather piece. The palm of the glove has damage obviously, but basically held up well.
All things considered I think the gloves protected my hand pretty well. I ended up with a small broken wrist bone, half a fingernail missing on my ring finger, and a very deep abrasion on my pinkie, but it could have been so much worse.
I'm on the fence about buying the same gloves again or trying to find something with a bit more protection on the back of the hand, but I definitely recommend these gloves if you need something that flows a lot of air at the expense of some protection.

These fit well based on the size chart and are very comfortable. If you are looking for this style of glove, I'm not sure you could do better.

Fit well and feel great!
I was looking for a good set of Summer riding gloves that offer at least some level of protection and these fit the bill without breaking the bank. The appear to be well constructed and although I can't personally vouch for their ability to protect my hands, they do appear like they'd do very well. I didn't rate them for protection & durability since I've only had them for a few weeks but so far, so good. My hand measures in at around 9 1/4 - 9 1/2 so I went with the size 10 and they fit very well. A little snug across the knuckles but short of that a good fit. They easily tuck in under my RevIT Tornado 2 jacket sleeves and do indeed provide a good deal of ventilation.

Great summer glove
I'd like to say i havent had to use these in a get off, so the protection features haven't come into action. I've been riding with these and logged about 400 hundred miles so far.
I measured and was right in between a size 8 and 9. I like my gloves fitting tight so i ordered the 8. They fit great and feel great! I have skinny hands with skinny long fingers. The precurve in the glove and the kangaroo palm make these very comfortable. Never owned a glove with kangaroo but its very soft and surprisingly thin on the palm. It feels great when using controls and actually feeling the bike. Seems a little thin but i've read that kangaroo leather is extremely durable so im putting my faith in that.
These flow a ton of air and im loving it. I ride down into the 20 degree F. range. I do not have heated grips but have a good tolerance for cold. I only wear these gloves when the temp outside is 60 or higher. Anything colder i switch gloves.
The big ulna protector seems beefy and I like it a lot. Same with the super fabric over the lower part of the palm. Although the thumb does have a tiny amount of protection. Thats all it is... a tiny amount.
I'd recommend these for summer gloves but pay close attention to the sizing and the type of hand you have.

No road test yet, so my ratings on durability are a guess, but wanted to post sizing info to help others.
I bought these to replace some cheaper Held summer mesh gloves that have worn out after 7 years (!). And the old ones had minimal protection at best, which is why I went for the Sambias, even though I am not an ADV rider.
I wear a size 11 Euro for my BMW winter gloves, so ordered 11. They fit perfectly.

Got hands like Trump? This is the glove for you!
As You guessed it I have small hands, but not the way you think. These gloves have relatively short fingers for the width of the palm. Perfect for me. I do have a little extra, but it's minuscule. Like Trump's hands.
