As advertized. Super comfortable Been looking for a long time to find a good mix of slight off road and street without either the Italian looking streetboot, the Harley cruiser style or a strictly adventure boot. This is the boot! I ride a 2013 BMW 1200 GSW. Hope this helps March 17, 2014
Held Higlander II Touring Boots Solid touring boots that are comfortable and offer a lot of protection for the price point. These are not Gortex lined but are suppose to have a waterproof membrane that I have not had the opportunity to test yet. Might do so in the bathtub. The only thing I do not like is the synthetic leather just seems cheap but that is what most of the boots at this price point are made out of these days. I replaced my SIDI Rain's with these as the SIDI's bottom wore out pretty fast. The bottom on this boot seems well made and should last bit longer. Hoping to get a couple of years of riding out of these. The other option I looked at in this price point were the Dainese for about $239.00 that Anthony recently reviewed, I cannot recall the exact name. These boots are made in China not Germany. I ride 2009 R1200RT / 2001 R1200C Phoenix March 17, 2012
comfy and warm Very comfortable, warm and dry. Excellent boots November 15, 2010
Held Boots Comfortable right out of the box. No break in needed. Warm without being too hot in the Summer heat; haven't had the opportunity to Winter test them. I've ridden in a few showers and so far they've kept the water out. They seem to be about as protective as the TCX Matrix if that helps (typical for a touring type boot). August 30, 2010

RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
john h: based on Held reputation and reviews Feb 21, 2014

HeldWhile most gloves sold in the US are offered in alpha sizes (Small, Medium, Large, etc), Held gloves are sold in numeric glove sizes. The most accurate way to choose a glove size is to measure your hands using the directions and charts below. To get an idea of what Held Glove sizes correspond to in typical american gloves, a conversion guide is included below just to get you started in the right direction.

Held Size Estimated Men's Size
6 – 6 1/2 XS
7 – 7 1/2 SM
8 – 8 1/2 MD
9 – 9 1/2 LG

11 2XL
12 3XL

Steps to Measure For Held Gloves

  • Use a flexible measuring tape to measure your hand in inches.
  • Measure around your hand, behind the knuckles, not including the thumb.
  • Take an accurate, snug measurement.
  • Measure both hands and use the largest measurement.
  • Compare your measurement to the size charts below

Held Sizing Guide

Held Glove Fitment Tips

Held gloves should fit snugly when new. They will stretch out during break in and form to fit your hand.

If you have long fingers, but a relatively narrow palm you should order a size up as the size chart does not account for finger length.

Please note, if your hand measures toward the upper limit of the size measurements, the gloves will fit very snugly. If you prefer that your gloves do not fit so snugly, you may want to select the next size larger. Held kangaroo gloves are a very precise fit. Because Held gloves are such a fitted glove, many people enjoy the snug fit. This is actually very comfortable, with few wrinkles and little crumpling in the palm area.

A properly fitted Held will "fit you like a glove".
