Not worth the $
I've had these gloves for about six months now. I ride everyday unless there is snow or ice on the road. I have worn these down to 15 degrees with Tacuono Urbano handlebar mitts although not comfortably. The gloves fit great, look awesome and I'm confident if I ever had a get off my hands would be well protected. However, anything below 32° and the fingers will still freeze. Although I do really like these gloves they just aren't worth the price tag. Knowing what I know today I would try something else a little cheaper.

decent glove as long as it's not too cold
Living in So. Ca. I normally use a track glove year round. I recently completed a long Colorado trip and bought these gloves to keep my hands dry and warm. We caught quite a bit of rain and the gloves kept me dry. I was a bit disappointed in that when the temps dropped into the upper 40s, my fingertips starting feeling the cold. A glove liner would probably do the trick but I expected a glove at this price point to do the job on its' own. They took a couple of days use to break in but were decent after that. This would be a good glove with grip warmers for real cold weather riding.

a good looking well built glove.
The Held glove is a great glove
for your foul weather rides. With its snug fit and may high tech layers it keeps my hands warm and dry. They are quit a bit bulkier than a summer glove.

Great Winter Gloves
These are my first pair of winter gloves. They have been able to keep my hands warm at 70 MPH and 40 degrees F with my grip heaters. When its below that I notice my fingertips getting cold. I also have ridden with them in the rain twice so far. No leaking at all. My hands stay dry and warm

The gloves fit great! Give them a few rides to break in because they are stiff at first. The insides are comfortable and my hands don't get sweaty. Now whenever I put on my normal gloves I am disappointed at how they feel inside.

Good gloves, but not really for winter.
I ride all year if no ice or snow on the asphalt.
I have these gloves for over a year. They do their job, but
only in over zero temperatures. Below 0, the wind gets
to your fingers, and hands get cold. Good gloves but
for that price it's a failure, especially if they are recommended
as winter "cold champ" gloves.

Can trade them if anyone has real winter ones, that are
warm in below zero temperatures like -3, -5, -7.

Below what I expected from Held
Friends think I'm a Held fanboy because I have shown them how impressed I've been with the Rainstar and the Short Race, but I feel that Held has not put their best effort into this glove.

The strong points are: it looks like great protection is all around, and it's waterproof due to the Gore Tex. Fit is spot on to what you wear in other Held gloves; they have accounted for the size shift with the extra mass for a winter glove. In other words, I'm a Medium in other Held gloves, but this one looks gigantic (like a L or XL on the outside) due to insulation, but it fits spot on like a Medium.

Two downsides for my money:
1. Assuming you have heated grips already, this glove might be warm enough, but it doesn't seem to keep out Old Man Winter as much as you'd expect for a glove this bulky.

2. I encountered workmanship issues on my very first ride (see picture). Seems to be a design flaw: the velcro strap is supposed to fold over this clasp, which unfortunately is in 2 pieces (not welded or glued) which are supposed to hold together with friction and magic. This is loose already on the right hand, and on the left hand it just fell apart after my first 10 miles.

Come on Held, you can do better.

Stiff and bulky without much cold protection
I've put on about 1500 miles on these and they're barely breaking in. They're less stiff than when I first got them, but they're still bulky. I wouldn't mind the bulk if they actually kept my hands warm, but they're not that good at anything below 50 (I don't have heated grips, don't like them either). I'm thinking my next set of gloves for cold weather riding might need to be heated gloves. I have not tried these in the rain.

Dissappointing
On paper this glove has it all. Gore-tex Xtrafit in a winter glove.
However the fit of this glove is totally off. I have long skinny fingers and so I ordered their size 10. The fingers were long enough in fact the thumb and pinkies were a little too long, but the space between the thumb and fore finger was so restrictive that there would have been no way I could have reached my clutch or brake.

The other problem was on the left middle finger there was a thread that went across the tip of the finger and pressed between my nail and skin. I could avoid this but then the thread would be pressed against my finger or nail. Needless to say I returned them.

Seemed like a good choice to go with heated hand grips without delving into heated gloves.

I have shorter thumbs and fingers. This did not have extra material at the ends. Warm and armored and waterproof.

I commute every day, most of them in the rain, some of them in the cold. These gloves are advertised as being warm and dry without so much bulk as often comes with "warm and dry". I've been riding in them through the second half of winter, and they haven't let me down. The squeegee works better than the others I've used, and they work quite well with heated grips, as advertised. I would buy them again.

Wanted a winter pair of gloves that would kept me warm and dry. So far I love these gloves. Haven't been tested in the rain yet. Wanted a pair of gloves that would last years.

Works very well with heated grips, and the bonded palms don't squirm around like most insulated gloves...its also my 6th pair of Held gloves over the years. I've tried/tested other brands offerings but the fit/quality of the Helds (Steve's, Phantom2's) are like nothing else.

What sort of temperature will this glove keep your hands warm in? I currently have alpine starts spy goretex glove and when it gets to 5-8 degrees celsius i find they are pretty ineffective and my hands after an hour of riding to work possibly in the rain are very cold and hurt.

I ride a sport bike. So its these or the freezer II gloves. I do prefer the looks of this glove though.
