Held Akira-Evo Gloves
Good protection, good feel
I bought these to replace a 10+ year old pair of A* GP Plus gloves. I wasn't planning on new gloves, but these fit well, offered good protection, had a good feel, and they were on sale.
I like the protection offered by these gloves. The rigid material at the back of the knuckles, armor along the side of the wrist and padding along the back of fingers are all well executed.
They're comfortable and broke in quickly. The kangaroo palm is especially comfortable and offers a great feel for the controls. This leather does feel a little thinner than I'm used to, but kangaroo is supposed to be more abrasion resistant than cowhide. My only qualm is the stitching on the extra palm protection areas was a bit rough on the inside of the gloves, but that's not too noticeable now that the gloves are broken in.
Overall a very nice glove and the style matches the Dainese Racing perforated jacket quite nicely.

Nice gloves, not too aggressive & very comfortable
Originally bought the Held Evo Thrux Gloves in a size 9(too small). These were just a little too aggressive & the gauntlet were just a little short for my taste. Decided to switch to Held Akira-Evo and I’m much happier. Went with the size 11. Its design is softer all around. Knuckle guard has some flex to it. Gauntlet is 5” on the outside and has nice sized reinforced panel with superfabric, and tapers in to 3” on the inside. Velcro straps are easy to use and well placed.
To help is sizing, I measured my finger length out below. Measurement starts even at the web NOT the knuckle.
Finger - length - glove space(extra)
T - 2.5” - .5”
I - 3” – 0 space
M - 3.5” – 0 space
R - 3.25” – 0 space
P - 2.5” - .5”
My palm was 10.5” per size chart pic. Glad I went with size 11
Cant comment on airflow haven't ridden in them enough

A very comfortable glove with lots of protection!
The Akira Evo is heavily padded with Suprotect foam and generously covered in Superfabric making it very protective while the very soft, pre-formed kangaroo palm provides an excellent feel at the controls (a lot better than my old Held Thrux gloves). The step seam construction and stretch panels provide additional comfort. The visor wipe is also a very nice feature. The only downside of this glove is that it is not perforated at all. Overall, a very solid glove offering very good comfort and protection.

Let's face it. Everyone loves "the best." I am no exception. These gloves are simply the best in every catagory. And, since I got them on sale, they were even excellent value. The leather is very strong and durable. The knuckle and other reinforced areas are super hard and appear to be good protection against a hard impact. I only have them for about a month now and the seams are still perfect and show no signs of failure anywhere.
As far as style, just look at them! The colors are rich, the design is sporty and cool. The look even better in person. The visor wiper on the left glove is an awesome addition that works well when you need them. I don't think I could ever go back to gloves without it. Use it once in the rain and you will see what I mean.
My only con (I really had to dig for one) is that it runs alittle small. Normally, leather gloves streatch to practically any size. However, these are so thick and strong, I think stretching is kept to a minimum. So, I recommend getting the right size from the start. I usually wear an 8. I got these in and 8.5 and they sre still a little snug.
If you are concidering these bad boys, go for it. You will not be disapponted!

FINALLY found a glove that I like
I've been struggling to find a full gauntlet glove with the combination of protective features that I value + comfort, good fit, significant tactile feel, and that don't fatigue my hands. Luckily Revzilla has such a great return policy, otherwise I would be stuck with an expensive pile gloves that I hate, I've been through quite a few pairs and none of them worked for me. I decided that the old Twenty-Niners that I had been wearing for a few years since my first MSF class weren't cutting it anymore for my more aggressive rides (still use them on short, low-speed rides downtown) and decided to find a more technical full gauntlet glove...I didn't know it was going to be so difficult to find a good match for my needs. After trying gloves anywhere from $60-160 across the usual popular brands, and finding them either too stiff, too isolating and "numb," not protective enough, poorly made, uncomfortable interior seams, or some combination of the above, I finally found the Held Akira-Evo gloves. These gloves are great, the unlined kangaroo palm provides great tactile feel on the controls, they have all of the protective features I have been looking for, break-in was minimal, they don't fatigue my hands (some other gloves had the muscles in hands cramping and burning after 1 or 2 miles), and they look relatively understated in all black with grey palm. At first, when trying them on, the thumb was a bit too long (which others have noted with Held gloves) but when I'm actually riding my Daytona, the thumb fits perfectly...must be the positioning of the hands on the bike and I guess it's an intentional part of the design. These are very well constructed and the most comfortable full gauntlet glove I have tried so far (I have tried alot over the last two months)...I will be hanging on to these for a long time, after all of the headaches looking for the right gloves, these are definitely worth the money.

Great protection & fit
Have been very satisfied with two pairs of Held Steve touring gloves over the last 8 years, so I ordered these Akira-Evo gloves for track use with confidence. Kangaroo palms provide great feel on the grips, construction and finish is the high quality expected from Held, and the fit (size 8.5) is excellent - no break-in required. Armor is rugged, well-placed, and will (hopefully) save my hands if called upon. Excellent product and well worth the price.

Great product. A little on the spendy side. If you've got the bucks, and your primary concerns are comfort, fit and styling. What the f ... are you

Best of the Best
I've had custom made deerskin gloves, Alpinestars, Spidi, and others over the years. They make pretty good gloves but Held is in a class by itself. The Akira Evo's are amazing - exceptional design, construction, and comfort. The feel you get from the kangaroo is impossible to improve upon. I wish the gauntlets were a tad wider but otherwise these gloves are perfect. If you are in the market for a higher end glove, the Held Akira Evo's need to be on your short list. Sweet styling, too - they are a perfect match for my new Carbon Red Diavel.
