GPR V4 Steering Stabilizer Kawasaki ZX6R / 636 / RR 2005-2006

The GPR V4 Stabilizer was specifically made for sport and road race bikes. GPR has taken their proven fluid control technology and squeezed, trimmed, and lightened this model up to be exactly what the racers want. A large dial with a "no-slip" grip that locks into place with a positive "click" with 20 settings. Approximately 30% lighter than the GPR V1.

Developed extensively in the World Superbike and the AMA Roadracing during the 2007 season with incredible results.  The GPR V4 Steering Dampers that are available to the public are the same championship winning steering dampers that GPR’s race teams use. Racers and teams such as; multi- time "Isle of man TT" winner John McGuinness, Ireland's Ryan Farquhar, BSB Team Padgetts Honda, and BSB Team Hawk Kawasaki, Joe Rocket Honda with Adam Ferguson and Josh Brooks. In the AMA paddock you'll find the new GPRV 4 on the Corona Honda, Hooters Suzuki, Grant Matsushima's MPT Suzuki, and dozens of privateers. The list keeps growing every season for a reason. It just works!

Price Matched, Backed by Warranty by GPR, RevZ & Google. Building a Race bike researched this along with Scotts and Ohlins. Having never used a stabilizer before until my HP4 didnt know what to expect. I have however had a few over/under corrections at high speeds without one and 2 with one and the 2 with one were much more manageable. The community was split 30/60/10 Scotts/Ohlins/GPR respectively. Apparently GPR had a rough go early on, but over the last 3 yrs they seemed to have redeemed themselves. I like the sleekness of the Ohlins and their rep, which you pay for but the look and ease of install of the GPR v4 was a tie breaker. Scotts just didnt like the cosmetic look of it, not a hit on them just my preference. Scotts offers repair and service for usually no cost and annual checks minus the shipping which was another selling point for me. The install could not have been simplier. Get a socket big enough to take your stock triple clamp nut off, throw on their bracket w/o your washer (model depending). Test turn the bars & check for clearence. Attach Stabilizer on top lightly screw down, check alignment and symmetry, test turn bars once more, then tighten all screws. One final test turn then spin the dial 3 degrees at a time and turn. I recommend riding at zero which is how the bike was pre-stab and will allow you to road check turns etc. Then ride per the instructions making no more than 3-5 clicks per adjustment. The GPR v4 is small for my machine '05 Kawasaki 636 and the contrasting Red/Black goes great with my color scheme. Adjustments are simple and can be made on the fly. First track day is 3 weeks off but I'll stop back and update after a full day of "testing". Cheers. March 20, 2015
