GoPro Wi Fi Bacpac WiFi Remote Combo Kit
Convenient Accessory for GoPro HERO2
A great fun and instructive high-priced toy. The delivery had some problems but RevZilla did everything they could to make that situation better. I am not a big electronics / computer / tech person, so that colors my experience. Some kid half my age might be able to use this blindfolded. So there I am, excited as can be with all this cool new gadgetry I received. But, none of it is usable without updates. (I cleared the shelves... purchased extra batteries, SD cards, wifi backpack and remote, battery pac, wall charger. Anyway, something like six hours over two days to try and update and I'm ready to return it all. Read all the online GoPro User articles, etc. Finally discovered that the problem was my selection of USB port on my laptop and by changing to another USB port, then everything worked fine. Glad it is working but hated GoPro at that moment... nothing in their literature, nothing on their website about this. The Internet has hundreds, maybe a thousand persons complaining about update difficulties. Now I can finally turn everything on and try to use it. RTFB... for the most part well done, easy to follow. After getting the instruction basics down, the rest is easy to figure out. The user interface... on/off button for mode and shutter button for selection is okay once you get used to it. Though there should be a way to not have to cycle through all the modes to finally get to exit. Setup... i am using the RAM connectors... fantastic. Use... rates another fantastic... excellent HD video. The remote makes use very convenient. The only thing I do not like is that I cannot charge the remote on my bike because it shares the charging connector with the securing ring. If you install the securing ring to attach the remote to your bike (I hang it from my GPS so it is easy to see and reach to turn the HERO2 on/off or change modes#, then you cannot plug in for charging because the securing ring is in that connector. It is a clever locking connector, which gives me confidence for securing on my bike, but it should not come at the cost of losing the ability to charge the remote. Or, it should have a replaceable battery. So, before the day is over I must operate in manual mode because everything has plenty of power except the remote. After being spoiled by the remote, then manual operation sucks. I downloaded the free video processing software. Works okay. Had some problems converting some videos MP4 to avi #stopped halfway through# but others processed no problem. The battery pac and the wifi backpack block the back of the HERO2, so if it is mounted in front of you, then you lose the red indicator light on the back of the unit so you can know the status. They should make some led passthrough so this is not an issue. The remote screen and indicator light give you status .The various cases seem well constructed. I modified the open #non-waterproof) wifi case by drilling a hole in the side so i could install the power cable to the HERO2. Seems really stupid they did not do this from the factory, since the other side is open for the connections on that side. Also, hooked it up to the big screen television with an aftermarket cable... immediately recognized the device and good quality video. The iPad / smartphone connection is just a bs promise now. GoPro tech support still does not know a software release date... just "this Fall"... even though Fall begins in only four days. The full package is expensive but I would do it again.

GoPro Original Hero Wifi Backpack & Remote
I purchased the Wifi Backpack and Remote to operate my Original Hero Camera when attached to my motorcycle helmet. My computer skills are limited, but after the camera and the wifi backpack were update through GoPro the system operated as I had hoped. The remote allows you to see and change the camera functions. I highly recommend this option.
I have just returned from a 5,000 mile motorcycle trip and the wifi and backup system were used to take some fantastic video at Glacier NP.

I got this with the hope that it's use would save me battery time because I'd be able to turn the camera on and off without having to get off my ATV and check it all the time. I was totally wrong, this thing sucks the juice, I found I got about 45-90 min out of it before it died.

GoPro WiFi and Remote
I used the remote for the first time at the track the other day and absolutely love this product. It makes it so easy and convenient to turn on and the filming. So I didn't use up the battery as fast and I didn't waste a lot of footage on the flash card. This is a must have for any avid GoPro user.
Great addition to my GoPro!
