GoPro Suction Mount
I had the old mount that came with the Hero 2 and broke the suction cup. This replacement is actually more sturdy and the base is less rounded which makes it easier to hold in place while mounting. Do not expect to fully extend this thing and have it in the wind at 150mph without a REALLY blurry image... it's made to be stuck to the inside of a car windshield. Having said that it does well stuck to the inside of my adv bike's windscreen and on the saddlebag. I still use a lanyard when mounted to the bag and I'm glad I did; it fell off once and was hanging by the strap.
To be fair I've mounted this in several locations on my Formula 2 sidecar racer and been clocked at 157mph and it hasn't ever come off while on the track.
The only downside is the thumbscrew contacts the camera housing while tightening/loosening. On the up side you can find some really cool angles with all the adjustability.

Holds very well, leaves no marks.
I was looking for a removable mount option for my go pro. The suction cup attaches very securely. I am paranoid so I attached a lanyard, but have not had it come loose yet. Convex, and concave smooth surfaces, it has held secure for 200+ miles.

John W: I killed my old one and needed a replacement.Oct 12, 2014
Andrew B: Bought this item to mount the GoPro to the windshield of my car in order to make driving timelapses. I mounted this inside the car, not out. It would probably handle freeway speeds if you mounted it the windshield. Needs a smooth mounting surface.Dec 17, 2013
Wilson L: Seems like a reliable suction cup mount. Am also looking at the Ram suction cup base, arm, and GoPro adapter. Will see which works best - may keep both.Sep 13, 2013
