The Go Pro HERO 3: Silver Edition boasts the same high performance specs as the famous HD HERO2 camera it replaces, yet it has built-in Wi-Fi and is 30% smaller and 25% lighter. The HERO3: Silver Edition is wearable and gear mountable, waterproof to 197' (60m), and is capable of capturing ultra-wide 1080p 30 fps and 720p 60 fps video plus 11MP photos at a rate of 10 photos per second.

Cool camera but overpriced
Decent camera but I truly think it's priced way to High for what it is, revzilla was top notch as always in order process and shipment.
Camera does what it's supposed to do , I kept it for a week then sold it.
Guess i was expecting more but probably just hyped it up to myself to justify the purchase price.
I'd buy again for around the 80 or 100 price range but not for 300 +
Battery life is laughable

Great Camera for motorcycle touring
I had previously owned the Hero 2 with WiFi backpack and remote but liked the size and weight of the new Hero 3. Bulk and weight wise this is an easier camera to wear on you helmet. On-board WiFi works great using the remote or a smartphone.

Only drawback, I can't listen to music and use my iPhone to control the camera. Music will not continue in the background.

great video camera
I have had a lot of fun with this camera can finally show my wife what we really do on my KTM. But a few days after I bought it I found the same camera at targets for $199. a hundred dollars cheaper. i could see a few dollars cheaper but not that much.I already used it so I will have to keep it.

Product was just as describe. Perfect!
Exceptional service. Husband was so excited to receive as a gift. He was amazed at how nice a product it was and the quality and programming that lets him use his iPad to control the Gopro hero 3. Would buy product again without a second thought. Shipping was faster then predicted & I loved that there was tracking with emails to keep me up to date. Thanks a million.

A must have riding camera for everyone
The quality of the picture from this camera are outstanding. I'm still in the learning process but the instructions and symbol are easy to understand. This by far was the best purchase from Revzilla. I will enjoy it for years to come. Thanks for the staff at Revzilla for their helpful tips about how to operate the camera. How i wish the instruction manual will come in paper. So much easier to refer and learn. Anyway, its a must have camera for every riders.

Answer:
The GoPro mounts will work with all generations of GoPro Camera housings. However, the Camera Housings are specific to each generation of Camera. For example, you can use any existing mount (such as the suction cup from the Motorsports edition) with any GoPro. But the case for each camera will not work with a newer or older model camera (IE the case for a Hero 3 will not accept a Hero 2 camera).PS: Awesome Fireblade!

The GoPro cameras are all awesome units that come with the ability to record any action that you might want to cover. The main difference between the Black Edition and the Silver edition is that the Black Edition includes the Wi-Fi Remote, works better in low light, and has a higher resolution for videos (1080p at 60 frames per second vs 1080p at 30 frames per second) and photos (12mega-pixels vs 11mega-pixels). Otherwise, both units will include one flat mount and one curved mount, a three way pivot arm, and a quick release mount.To see a side by side comparison that breaks down all the technical features be sure to check out the GoPro Website:
