GMax GM54S Pink Ribbon Modular Helmet

The modular design allows the "flip-jaw" to rotate further back on the crown of the helmet. The further rotation of the flip-jaw not only increases the user's line-of-sight when in the raised position, but it also lessens the user's fatigue by maintaining an even distribution of weight across the helmet.

Features:

  • New inner flip tint sun lens
  • Inner flip shield is easily raised of lowered with a lever located on the exterior of the helmet
  • Distortion free clear single lens shield
  • New integrated multi-function red L.E.D rear light
  • Optional rear brake light kit available
  • One hand easy to use chin bar push to open mechanism
  • Lightweight D.O.T approved thermo-plastic alloy shell
  • Excellent shield sealing reduces unwanted air and noise
  • GMAX "D.E.V.S" adjustable "dual exhaust venting system", top, side, and rear venting reduces fogging and sweating by allowing hot air to escape from the mouth area and top of head
  • Adjustable chin vent directs air upward across the inside of the shield to help reduce or eliminate fogging
  • Large eye port for improved range of vision
  • Coolmax comfort liner and cheek pads move the moisture away from your body and the fabric dries quickly. The added performance keeps you dry and comfortable
  • Removable/washable interior and adjustable cheek pads allow for more comfortable sizing
  • Deluxe ear pockets for better fit and comfort
  • Built in speaker pockets for communication systems
  • Soft padded chin strap
  • Painted shell with high quality clear coat finish

A I tried several helmets from different brands. This helmet fit the best and was the most comfortable for me. Comfort was my first priority. June 9, 2014
Great Helmet Less than 36 hours after purchasing this helmet, It became clear that I would have to purchase another helmet, and, Without any second thought, the new helmet would be another GMax GM54S Modular Helmet, You may be asking why I would buy another one less than 36 hours purchasing the first one? Well, the first one made contact with the asphalt with my head inside it at 35-40 mph. Speaking from first hand knowledge as to how well this helmet protected my head, Not a scratch, bruise or bump on my head, not even a headache, Well Done Gmax! June 4, 2014
I like it Very good value for the $. Kind of noise on my fz1., But I am running it without the mesh shield under the chin to make better room for the boom mic on my Sena 10 bluetooth. Which by the way fits very well into this helmet May 26, 2014
Great helmet with high end features Love this purchase. I get asked about the helmet all the time. Especially about the light on the back. Great helmet with high end features. May 21, 2014
Can't beat for the price. Had to trade them in for one size up--felt like they ran slightly small. Put SENA blue tooth in them and they worked out great. My first modular helmet design I really have no complaints. May 19, 2014
Solid helmet Definitely good for the money. Was hoping for a little more noise reduction tho. May 19, 2014
Great Features at an unbeatable price. Bought this helmet for my girlfriend as an alternative to the seemingly only pink helmets. She has always given me grief about wearing a full face. This helmet fit her right, looks great and has great features. May 12, 2014
great helmet. a bit loud. The helmet is very cool in the warm seasons. The flip chin works smoothly. The visor is great but it comes down a little close to my nose. I don't bring it all the way down else it'll be touching my nose. Also the cheek pads cause my ears to get folded up in the helmet... But maybe it is just me. I will probably get used to it or it'll wear in. The helmet is very loud compared to my last helmet. (Street and steel modular). Overall this feels like a very well built helmet for the price. A shopper asked: Is this helmet good for sledding? Mywife loves the design but I need to make sure it will function as a snow helmet before buying it. Thanks! Jan 1, 2013

A S: I've seen a SNOW version of this same helmet. Look for the word snow in the item description. The seal around the shield looks a little different than the motorcycle version. Mar 12, 2014

A shopper asked: May have missed it on the Product spec. Is this compatible with Blue Tooth Systems? Aug 26, 2013

Emery E: The GMax GM54S helmet does not have a mounting socket like the HJC BT or Nolan N-Com models. Any communications unit would be mounted externally. The helmet does have small pockets for speakers. Aug 30, 2013

A S asked: How does this helmet fit with eyeglasses (sun glasses or prescription)? I've worn contacts in the past, but want the option of wearing my glasses. I always seem to have trouble getting them in the helmet under the pads after I have the helmet on. Just wondering if anyone with glasses has experience wearing them with the GMAX 54s? I bought a size small in this helmet but it feels a little big...thinking I should exchange for an XS but I'm worried I won't be able to fit my glasses with an XS. I can get the SM helmet on while I'm wearing the glasses, but can't get the glasses on if I put the helmet on first...padding is too snug near the eye/ear area. Mar 12, 2014

Sylvain S: Hi, this is a FLIP-UP helmet, therefore, you put your eyeglasses first, open the flip-face of the helmet, put the helmet on your are good to go! If the intent would be to put the glasses after, just go with a full-face!

I have a C3 Shuberth, and no way that I could put my eyeglasses on after the helmet, just to tight around the ear area.

Note: this helmet (GM54S) looks great, but is heavy and noisy! (to wear with earplugs...) My wife just told me that she would not recommend it for the quality..., I gave her the option of C3 Shuberth or SHOEI Neotec and she picked up this one for the "design". Good for short ride (within 60 minutes) but longer than that, you will suffer! Let just say that you get what you pay for!

If you are looking for a woman design, check the full face SHOEI RF-1100 Corazon at $350, more expansive but not in the same quality range!

Robert M: Since this is a flip open modular helmet, my wife puts on the helmet OPEN with her glasses ON.

It might be cheaper to buy other sized cheek pads than pay return shipping. (Learned the hard way elsewhere).

A shopper asked: Helloooo dose this helmet have the Australian standerad compliceance sticker slash ratting on it spanks :-)? Aug 11, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Chris KStaff: No, helmets sold through RevZilla (and any other US dealer) only carry the DOT certification and will not come with an AUS compliant sticker. Sorry for the disappointment! Aug 12, 2013
