The modular design allows the "flip-jaw" to rotate further back on the crown of the helmet. The further rotation of the flip-jaw not only increases the user's line-of-sight when in the raised position, but it also lessens the user's fatigue by maintaining an even distribution of weight across the helmet.

I took my wife to the local Harley dealer to look for a helmet; she liked a number of them but we just fit her up and decided to look at Revzilla. Once she saw this beauty, she had to have it. It's been her riding companion ever since!

My wife loves this helmet
My wife is a two year breast cancer survivor. When we went shopping for her a helmet, this style caught her eye. She wanted pink, modular, internal sunshade and kewl style.
This helmet has all these features. She likes the pink LED's on the back. Sliding the internal sunshade it a bit sticky and akward, but she gets it down.

Love the design of this helmet. Modular flip up clips to metal posts - not plastic like some of the others I looked at. The flip-down sunshield does a great job with very little distortion. It could sit out a bit further from my face but still works great. Peripheral vision doesn't seem quite as good as my HJC full face helmet, but I've gotten used to that. The ventilation is great with all the vents around the helmet. Wind noise is about normal. It takes me a bit to get this helmet situated properly on my head for some reason...the face pads are a little tight against my glasses, and occasionally seem to move my glasses around a bit. I'm hoping a bit more use will soften up that area of padding against the ear pieces for my glasses.

Emery E:The GMax GM54S helmet does not have a mounting socket like the HJC BT or Nolan N-Com models. Any communications unit would be mounted externally. The helmet does have small pockets for speakers. Aug 30, 2013
A S asked:How does this helmet fit with eyeglasses (sun glasses or prescription)? I've worn contacts in the past, but want the option of wearing my glasses. I always seem to have trouble getting them in the helmet under the pads after I have the helmet on. Just wondering if anyone with glasses has experience wearing them with the GMAX 54s? I bought a size small in this helmet but it feels a little big...thinking I should exchange for an XS but I'm worried I won't be able to fit my glasses with an XS. I can get the SM helmet on while I'm wearing the glasses, but can't get the glasses on if I put the helmet on first...padding is too snug near the eye/ear area.Mar 12, 2014
Sylvain S:Hi, this is a FLIP-UP helmet, therefore, you put your eyeglasses first, open the flip-face of the helmet, put the helmet on your are good to go! If the intent would be to put the glasses after, just go with a full-face!
I have a C3 Shuberth, and no way that I could put my eyeglasses on after the helmet, just to tight around the ear area.
Note: this helmet (GM54S) looks great, but is heavy and noisy! (to wear with earplugs...) My wife just told me that she would not recommend it for the quality..., I gave her the option of C3 Shuberth or SHOEI Neotec and she picked up this one for the "design". Good for short ride (within 60 minutes) but longer than that, you will suffer! Let just say that you get what you pay for!
If you are looking for a woman design, check the full face SHOEI RF-1100 Corazon at $350, more expansive but not in the same quality range!Mar 14, 2014
