The cheek pads work great. They fit just like they should.

Easy to install, perfect fit.
I purchased these cheek pads rather than returning the helmet for another size because the overall helmet fit and I just needed some slightly smaller cheek pads. They install easy and are very comfortable.

Original pads were far too big, although the helmet fit well. Popped the old ones out, snapped these in, and I was in my way.

A S: My husband's GMax 54s was a little snug in the cheeks...trying thinner cheek pads to see if that helps.Mar 13, 2014
Dustin L asked:I bought a size 2XL...(25mm by the size chart above), but the cheek pieces are too tight. Does this mean I need to go to a size 3XL 20mm, -OR- do I need to try the other direction, like a size 30mm or 35mm? Thanks in advance!Aug 25, 2014
Andrew H:I ordered my Gmax GM54S in XL, which came with 35 mm cheek pads. Must say I love this helmet, but the fit hurt my jaws and gave me a headache it was so tight. I'm not sure if there is any difference in the size of the actual shell of the helmet from XL to 3XL, but after doing a little research, I ordered the 20 mm replacement cheek pads to replace the 35's, and now I can wear the helmet for several hours in relative comfort. Hope this helps.Aug 25, 2014
Andrew N:I also had to change the size of the cheek pads in my GM54S, If your pads are still to tight at the 25mm I would say to order the 20mm pads and see how they feel. The greater the number on the pads the thicker they are going to be. Worse case is you need a size between the two and you have to shave them down a bit. Also don't forget that they will be fairly tight until you wear them in a bit. I have had mine for about 100 miles now and they have loosened up a bit finally. Good news is they are easy to install and if you do find that the 20mm is to loose you can just add some material between the pad and the helmet to thicken them up a mm or so.Aug 26, 2014
A shopper asked:I bought an XL helmet and the original cheekpads are somewhat loose for me, I need to get bigger ones. Does any one know what is the size of the original cheekpads, or the size of the new ones I need to buy?Mar 10, 2014
