A shopper asked: Is this face shield polarized? Oct 14, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Crsiti M: In regards to your question the dual lens shield is polarized. It is a dual clear lens which provides anti-glare and anti fog characteristics. I have used this lens for sometime in a very wet and damp climate where temps change radically. I have found it to be a highly durable lens and remains clear. I how ever cannot tell you anything about the single lens shield. Oct 15, 2013

Jere J. R: I assume that the clear outer face is not. However the enter sun shield seems to be. Really enjoy my modular helmet. Oct 14, 2013

A shopper asked: How dark is the smoked shield? Is it dark enough that no one can see through it (your face, from the outside) like the inner visor, or just a light tint? Apr 10, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
truong n: I have the silver iridium and Its definitely on the darker side. No one can see your face and its like wearing sunglasses from the inside. I'm guessing the smoke one shouldn't be reflective and lighter from the inside. Apr 10, 2014

Gilberto R: I have the silver finish shield and I can tell you that no body can see through it .
Works very well on a summer day when the sun is out . BUT limited visibility at night . Wouldn't recommend using it at night !

Scott G: I think I got the iridium tint. It's mirrored so no one can see through it. It's a pretty deep tint, wouldn't go out at night with it. Hope that helps. Apr 10, 2014

Irvin C: I think it is close, would depend on the lighting and distance. I really like mine as well as the helmet itself. ic Apr 10, 2014

A S asked: How dark is the smoked shield? Is it dark enough like the inner visor so that no one can see through it/your face, or is it just lightly tinted? Apr 10, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Andrew N: I just purchased a silver Iridium shield and have been riding with it for a week now. I know for a fact that the Iridium shields are very dark and do not allow anyone to see in at all. The smoke shield seems to be about as dark as the inner visor in the helmet and does not stop people from seeing into your helmet but it does make it very hard to make out someones face through it unless you are standing right in front of the helmet looking in. David P: I'd say not quite as dark as the inner visor, but dark enough to hide your face. Apr 14, 2014

A shopper asked: I see dark smoke and light smoke variants of tinted visors here. This only says smoke. Is this one of those two types or in between? Someone asked this already about the darkness but it would be nice if it was to tinted enough that my face would be obscures or out of site.

Any thoughts from Revzilla team or owners? Sorry if it's a strange question.

Wayne S: Yes.
It is dark enough to obscure the face.
However it is not too dark to see through well enough in the shadows.

Spencer P: Can you see through to the inside when no one is wearing it and the shield is down? Can you me out individual lining textures or the chin strap? If I'm standing a foot away could I see your eyes and face clearly?

What colour does it look like compared to the item display picture? Of the last 3 on the right of the array of shields (the shades of smoke) there's clearest on the right, followed by lighter grey, followed by black. Which colour does it most look like?

Sorry I wouldn't have to ask so many questions if the image for the item wasn't generic and not helpful. Aug 18, 2014

A shopper asked: I have a Gmax 54s Max series snowmobile helmet. Will the GMAX GM54/S Faceshield fit? Feb 28, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
RevZilla: Yes, that shield will fit. The the two versions of the helmet are identical save for the dual pane face shield and the fleece chin curtain on the Snow. So yeah, the regular GM54S shield will fit, it just won't be the fancy schmancy dual pane one. Mar 1, 2013
