Dry bag perfect for my commute to work
I needed a solution to allow me to carry my laptop and workpapers to the office each day. The Givi WP 400 allows me to pile in all of my items and keep the contents dry. The bungee straps provided secures to the backseat in seconds. The bag seems to be very durable and I hope that it will provide me many years of service. Overall I am pleased with my purchase.

A Quality Waterproof Bag
I would recommend the Givi 40 liter to anyone who wants a big-fat waterproof bag. Obviously, you must keep the bag away from hot motorcycle pipes. You don't want the plastic to melt. It measures a reasonable 10x10x23 when I stuff it. The fat middle is about 15 inches.

I've would preferred the 30LT but I guess I would have to take advantage of the extra room, I haven't test it on the rain yet but it seems like it will do the job, good product over all.

I haven't use it yet, but I've would of like to buy the 30L, this is not bad but I want it to fit the bag on top of my aluminum box at the back of my F800GS, the one I've got it's a little big for that, besides that, I guess I would have to take advantage of the extra space and deal with the size. If don't need to much room, go with the 30LApr 1, 2014
A shopper asked:you show the dimensions as 13.4"W x 23.6"L x 12.6"D. W and D are basically the same. How tall is it (H) and how deep or wide (W) is it. I ask as I have a certain amount of space between my back and my rear hard case?Aug 3, 2014
neal d:approx 24" in its longest dimension. the height/width of this big can vary a bit dependent on how you pack it. pack things inside taller instead of wider at the base, and it won't take up as much seat space (it's somewhat flexible. that being said, i usually strap it to the bike along the passenger seat instead of across it because my bike has a high side exhaust. Again, dependent on how you pack it, the height of the bag is roughly the same as the width/depth, or maybe a couple inches taller.Aug 5, 2014
Ana M:As You say, deep and wide are basically the same, how tall is it? depends how much stuff you put in it, if you fill it up, it can get as tall as it is 12.6 inches, remember that you have to fold it a little so you can secure it and the water won't get in, It worked great for me, with all my stuff in it and folded, it reached about 8" tall, I put it between my back and my rear hard case and it fits just fine, I have a BMW F800GS with the lower seat.Aug 5, 2014
Jenna G:The bag is flexible and will form to what you put in it for the most part. If the space is tight for these dimensions.... Don't max out the bag. Just fill it with as much stuff as you have room for. Stack another bag in top if you need to.... Aug 5, 2014
neal d:I suppose 'full set of gear' can mean different things. Technically, I think the answer to this is yes, but I think you'd be better off with a different bag. I can put a week's worth of clothes tightly rolled into this bag, plus a fleece and some other small odds and ends. Definitely a great bag, but once you've got it full, it can be a bit difficult to get large or rigid items in and out of it without removing from the bike.
The only thing I really don't like about this bag is the bungee attachment system. It holds it nice and tight to the bike, but I don't like the way the bungees are in tensioned contact with painted parts of my bike.
