Definitely worth the money!
I purchased the Givi V46 along with the rack (specific for my 13 Concours) and have to say - well worth the money!!! Have had several bikes and always added the top box but usually went with the less expensise "off-brands". The saying is it is hard to justify the costs if you don't see the value and can assure you that the value for both by far and away are worth every penny. Quit being cheap because with the Givi case and rack, you get what you pay for!

Don't get this case if you want to use a backrest pad
Don't get this case if you want to use the backrest pad. The backrest pad comes to a point horizontally, which will be uncomfortable. I returned it and got the V47 case and the backrest pad that is flat.

Second Givi - Don't get the light option
This is my second V46. Great bag, easy install, all really good. With that said, I ordered the one with the light kit, not realizing that the connection is dependent on installing the Givi rack. Unfortunately, I didn't like that rack, so I ended up having to rig the thing a bit on my Concours14. If I were to do it again, I'd get the one without Givi's proprietary light kit and get an aftermarket kit that has the running lights and the directionals. All in all, however, they make great stuff. The one I had on my BMW was excellent and this one is the same. The running lights are really bright, which is good as the Kawi is pretty dark back there. As far as Revzilla.....awesome. I remember meeting Anthony and his crew out in SFO, when they were pretty fresh and my buddies and I commented that they seemed both genuine and motivated. Looks like the hard work has paid off. The videos are so worth the time they must take to produce. It's become my top choice for online gear shopping.

Sufficient space, easy install
The instructions for the NC700 make it look like the pieces for each side of the side bars are identical - they are not. Once you get them on the right side, though, it's easy enough to install with basic tools and holds plenty of gear for commuting or hanging around town. On a long trip you'll probably want saddle bags for more space, but for primarily communing this trunk fits my need perfectly.

Roomy!
When I pulled it out of the box, I immediately thought it would look out of place on my V-Strom. However, once installed, the size of the Strom tank and this top case actually balance each other out. Pic is included, although it may be tough to see my perspective. Not sure if I will get 2 helmets in it, my S2 is a bit bulkier than other full helmets. Otherwise, this case will hold a lot of stuff. The color scheme works perfectly with the bike too. It will be garaged most of the time, so if the finish and durability hold up over the long term, it deserves 5 stars in Bang for the Buck. Really happy over all.

Solid build. Great fit and finish.
I'm Impressed with the quality of this case. Everything seems to be very well engineered. I thought it was going to look huge on my 06 Sv650, but it looks fine and is the perfect size, I actually wish it was a little bigger. My 2015 HJC helmet fits on it's side in the case, but I have to remove my sena for the lid to close without problems.

perfect top box
looks great on my Honda NC700x -- perfect for commuting with my Macbook Pro 15" in a laptop bag! Solid quality construction and it pops on and off easy, but is really secure when you hear the distinctive "click" that it's on right. The industrial design makes it quite attractive too. I got the model with the integrated brake light, and had my local shop install it for me. I like giving myself every possible safety advantage, and now I don't have to ride with a backpack.

Great commuter option
I spent a lot of time looking at laptop-friendly cases because I didn't want a hulking box on the back of my hyperstrada. In the end, I went w/ a 46-liter moto topcase, not a scooter one, and am happy with it. Looks wise, it doesn't completely destroy the "cool" factor, but I wasn't super concerned about that anyway.
I can fit my work bag, TNF Surge, with a 15" laptop and a lunch box on my way to&from work. At work, my helmet, pants and glove fit in there, along with some extras like a grocery bag, bungee, straps, tire plugger kit, extra gloves, and sidestand plate.
I now adjust my mirrors to just see the sides of the V46, an extra convenience, and the finish is good but it does show scrapes easily (poly bag or rubber boot soles rubbing against it) but they can be wiped off.
The wind & water proofing is great and installation was very easy using the Givi mount for a hyperstrada - important if you really want the weight limits the case is capable of, without risking cracking the plastic side rails. I haven't yet installed the brake kit, but looks straightforward enough.

Probably the best addition to my bike so far
The V46 top case is not the biggest they make, but it is size proportionate to my V Strom 650 and holds plenty of cargo. It has allowed me to use the bike for all sorts of things that would not have been possible with only side cases. The build quality and aesthetics are excellent and it draws compliments wherever I go. NOTE: if you intend to store helmets in it, be aware that it will hold two average size Larges or one XL modular.

Great trunk but with I had bought bigger
I bought this trunk to go on the back of my V-Strom and it was advertised as a two-helmet trunk.

I wear an XL and my wife wears a XS to S and I cannot get both our helmets in it without doing some serious dammage. That being said, if it is just me, I keep my laptop bag in the trunc for my morning commute and my XL Shoei in there during my workday and I'm happy with the setup.

Like ALL Givi products, once the base plate is installed (I use the V-Strom specific plate), getting the case on and off is brainless.

I went with a the matt finish and installed the luggage rack and backrest without issue.

Overall, I believe the product is worth it but is you really wants to keep two helpmet in, I would spend the extra cash ang get the 55 liter trunc. It's not that much bigger...

I've owned this case before. It's an excellent product at a very fair price.

I wanted more space and I wanted a box that loaded from the top. The standard Yamaha side bags are clamshell types that have trouble carrying anything, and definitely not a couple of things. This fits a lot of groceries.

I have used Givi Monokey cases in the past on other bikes and have always been impressed with how sturdy and waterproof they are. I decided to put one on my BMW GS Adventurer because it looks better than the aluminum "Rubic's cube" OEM trunk and it holds more without stacking stuff on top of stuff and it is more aerodynamic.

My current dry bag is 38L and has started to leak. I needed a new and reliable case. When I checked the CBR250 forums I heard good things about paring this with my bike and liked the idea of getting a little extra room. Hopefully it will mean I no longer need to wear a backpack in addition to my dry bag when I commute back and forth to work.

I was in the search of an alternative to the BMW factory top-case for my R1200RT, it is a very sturdy very roomy and has a very nice detachable feature, to detach it from the case a very nice feature, I would not hesitate to buy this case for another bike in the future.

I needed a larger top case to replace the smaller Givi I have on my MG Breva. Moved up to monokey from monolock, and added all the accessories (stoplight, backrest, etc) . Revzilla has been great with service in the past and this time they price matched Twistedthrottle, and applied my Zilla Cash too. Makes me a loyal customer.

I commute on my bike a lot, and this case is the perfect size to carry my backpack which I stuff with my lunch, work shoes, and laptop. Also great for running errands on the bike, which I do a lot more of now that I'm not limited to just what I can carry in my backpack. Safer, since it makes the bike more visible, and it's way more comfortable than riding with a 20lb. pack on my back. I also like the extra ruggedness and weatherproofness of the Monokey cases. Looks nice too.
Cesare57 on Dec 1, 2013
Chose it because Givi is well known for being simply the best in the market place. Ordered the 445FZ monorack arms kit for my Kawi Ninja 650R and they went on 1-2-3. The mounting system is great, the case is unbelievably greatâ??sturdy, doesn't move at all on its mount and definitely quite secure to anything but maybe someone with an axe. If you need a great topcase, this is the way to go.

I have a 2013 Yamaha FJR 1300. Which mounting system/plate will I need for a Givi V46 Monokey top case?
A shopper on Aug 16, 2013
BEST ANSWER: SR357. There is one that is cheaper but it is weaker. I wouldn't use the cheaper one because I have seen online that too much weight etc with with the cheaper mount broke a sub frame on an FJR. I have the SR357 on my 08 FJR and it works well. The light kit works as stated but is not impressive. I look to eventually mod it with a bunch of LEDs.

To remove the case from the rack, is the key required? Or can I simply press the button and lift it off?
ThomasJ on Sep 20, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The key is required to remove all of their cases. You also need the key to latch and lock the case. I guess this way you can not lock the key in the case. You can install the case without the key. I hope this helps.
Does adding the brake light kit make it harder to remove the top case?
A shopper on Nov 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No, the wiring connection is automatically made when you snap the case in the bracket. The wiring goes to the bracket and there is a contact on the bottom of the case. There are no connections to mess with.
What is the largest full size helmet this case can hold? 2XL? 3XL?
A S on Nov 17, 2014
BEST ANSWER: do not know/ the dealer should be able to test that. Just because 2 helmets are the same size on the inside does NOT mean they are equal on the outside. I have a certain older Shoei L that is the only L full face that fits into my old BMW K bike bags. Steve
Does this top case come with the black matte lid on it?
A shopper on Mar 14, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes it comes installed on the case.
Do I need a special Kit to mount this to my St1300?
A shopper on Nov 25, 2015
BEST ANSWER: You need 2 things to attach it to your motorcycle.
1. Brackets that mount directly to your bike seat and you must pick the correct ones.
2. An adapter that screws into the brackets which then allows you to insert the top case on to your bike. You can check out Givi's website or call RZ.
Again, this case is very good and I road with it from SF to Seattle w/o issue.
I Have a 2012 nc700x, will this fit?
A shopper on Mar 4, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I am not familiar with your bike, you will have to get the specific mounting bracket for your bike. I see no reason the v46 top case will not work.
Has anyone used v46 on a Suzuki burgman ? I have 2013 and have no idea how it would mount with the passanger back rest. Thanks
A S on Nov 26, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Once you buy the right trunk mount the Trunk becomes the back rest with purchase of passenger back pad. The company should have told you that.
1.- What is the mounting system required for this top case over a BMW G650GS 2014...?
2.- The version with the brake light, its all complete or requieres another part for installation?
Julian A on May 21, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Sorry I don't know. I have a Triumph 800xc. I suspect its a different mount. The one for the Triumph works great but was a bit of a challenge to get mounted. I believe the one with light is complete just need to tap into your brake light circuit. Al
I tried asking this yesterday and now I don't see it posted. I have a 2007 Yamaha FJR with factory Blackberry paint color. Does Givi have a color of the lid cover that will match, and where to I find the lid cover selection on the Revzilla website?
A S on Feb 6, 2014
BEST ANSWER: They only have selected lid colors!!! You can always have it painted to match . My bike is royal blue and ( I ordered black) it looks great!!! I get a lot of compliments ....if I ever sell my bike. I will keep my Givi ... Love it... Only thing is to attached to the back of my bike . I had to remove my backrest which they do not tell you
