Cheaper and better looking than Touratech
Got the 48L case in the natural aluminum finish for the left side of my 2013 Tiger 800XC and the 37L for the right and I love them. Initially I was scared it might be too bulky, but it really isn't and I love that I can stash my helmet, gloves and jacket inside with room to spare. Already been through several downpours and the box is definitely waterproof. They look super sharp. I'm not the most mechanically inclined guy in the world, but installation was pretty easy, despite minimal instructions. Can't really make a call on durability because they've only been on the bike for 8 days.

Solid large case road trips
I own a Suzuki 2004 V-Strom 650 and have the . I bought the Givi PL532CAM Saddlebag Holder For Trekker Outback Cases - Suzuki DL650 (04-11) $224.10 from Adventure MotoStuff since they were sold out on revzilla. Went to Death Valley and dropped my bike once on each side while stopped. The only things that hit the ground were the side cases cause they stick out pretty far on the V-Strom. You can hardly tell they hit the ground. The right case hit gravel, but the left case hit pavement, and the left connection between the case and rack seems slightly looser, but overall they seem quite robust. I can fit a helmet in the case no problem.

John P: Because Spurgeon Dunbar did a great review on the Triumph Tiger XCx. His review was the last piece I needed to pull the plug on getting the bike, and now that I have it, needed to accessorize.Aug 31, 2015
A s: It fits more body parts than the 37 liter.......Aug 20, 2015

Edward R: I like the look and space of aluminum panniers. I've had a set of OEM panniers on my prev F800GS. I now have an R1200GSW and wanted aluminum panniers, but didn't feel I had to pay top dollar for a decent set. Searched brands out there and saw Givi's alum panniers and liked the space and features of this set. Got a great price from Revzilla, free shipping and great savings!Jun 23, 2014
A shopper asked:Can the locks be mounted either fore or aft, or just on the back?Nov 9, 2014
Chris R:Although I had never tried it before - cases can be reversed and the locks can go to the front. I have extra brake lights mounted on the lock side of the case (typically backwards) so I had never thought about going lock forward - but it works.Nov 9, 2014
Alan W:Either or will work. I've done both and feel secure both ways. (Only taking in case for a ride to minimize the distance.) distance and locking mechanism works either way. Love these boxes. Nov 9, 2014
R E:I was curious myself so come wash time I hit them from various angels with my pressure washer for about 30 seconds and they did not leak. Even when I directed the stream directly at the seal there was still no water inside the case. Great CasesOct 25, 2014
Raoul D:I haven't ridden in heavy rain, only light rain, but no water got in. The bike also went through several rain storms, some heavy, while parked outside, and no water whatsoever got in.Oct 24, 2014
Chris R:I choose the Givi mounts that fit my 2011 BMW F650gs... These install very quickly in probably under 1 hour. Once you gave the mounting system on your bike - these cases clip on / off in seconds. Key to taking them off is to pull the release latch and push down on the case just slightly. I don't think this was in any of the manuals - and will save any future owners several minutes of head scratching... And a few choice words. Simply call customer service and they can advise which mounting system works on your bike. Good luck and ride safe.Feb 25, 2014
Jonathan G:You can get them from revzilla, but they are specific to this case. They are the Givi "cam-side" mounts, and normally have CAM in the sku. For example, I have an nc700x and the sku is PL1111CAM.Feb 25, 2014
Raoul D:Yes, my modular fits in my 48 L GIVI side cases. My helmet is a Bell Revolver Evo MEDIUM. FYI, I measured it (between a wall on one side and a right angle on the other) to get the measurement on the widest point (the hinge pivot for the face shield) and that measurement is 10 and 5/8 inches. I hope this helps. Jan 18, 2015
KM Y:I have a 08 r1200gs but it should work on the same principle. The main concern for using 37l and 48l combination is to balance the bike because of the muffler taking extra space so to use the 37l to compensate it to achieve the symmetric setup. another concern for your model is it may be too wide and affect the handling(wind drag and lack of engine power) of the bike. in my opinion, fitting is not a problem but the handling will be.Jul 12, 2015
Jared I:Two 48s will fit the CAM mount no problem - same mount. But the reason many ppl do one 48 and one 37 is that the 37 goes on the exhaust side and doesn't stick out nearly as much as if you put a 48 on that side. (This is true on a Tiger 800 at least)Jul 13, 2015
Dan M asked:In the market to replace my well worn Touratech panniers on my F800GS. What is the mounting system on the pannier itself made from? The pics make it look like plastic? Also, does the pannier hang on the rack mount with the top and bottom mount and then lock on? Or hang on the bottom mount and the top holds it on like the touratech Zega models? Thanks.Aug 6, 2015
John P:They are made of some kind of plastic. The internal latching piece is metal, and it sounds like a solid car door closing when I put them on. You set the bottom mounts on first, then push the top towards the bike to latch. Very solid, and the quality of the plastic seems like it will last a long time with abuse.Sep 2, 2015
A shopper asked:The Specs say a case is only rated to 22 lbs. Seriously? Ive had over 60lbs in a giant loop with no problems. is this a "catch-all" weight rating to cover their behinds? Or is this legitimate?Aug 4, 2015
