Great cases, with a few questionable choices
Bought these for my 2013 Triumph Tiger several months ago. They fit wonderfully with the Givi racks and look really great. The locking mechanism for both the lid and the cases to the bike are excellent and well thought out. The locking mechanism even has indicators on it that show you whether or not its attached properly and when you can remove it. So you're not struggling to get the cases off the bike when its still locked. The fit and finish is typical Givi and they look really nice on the bike. Also, very weather proof and makes a great camp table.

My only concern, and I haven't tested it yet so it may not be well founded ultimately is that the attachments for the boxes to the bike rack are made of molded plastic. They look profoundly breakable in a fall and I do worry about how they are going to hold up. Again, haven't done it yet so it may not be a big deal. But I've seen some other set-ups that look a bit sturdier. I think it depends on what kind of riding you're doing.

Lastly, I went with the large top case on my Tiger, I think an Outback 52L, just be mindful that the non-exhaust side pannier will hit the top case while opening. Not a big deal because the outbacks open two ways. I attached a pic to show it, not a big deal though, just an inconvenience.

The best thing after sliced bread.
I was pulled back and forwards between the set of original manufacturer cases for my bike, which would have cost me a touch less for the cases themselves, but a whole lot more for the installation, while those Givi cases are installed in a snap. I am glad I took the call and bought the Givi cases. They are in excellent quality and finish. They are large enough to rise an echo, so, no worries anymore that I cant go grocery shopping with my bike. A wonderful thing is also that they open to the top. Nothing ever will fall out when you open the case, and nothing needs to be pushed into the case when you close them.

Givi Outback Cases are Great
The Givi outback cases look great. The aluminum finish is nice and seems pretty durable. I was a little concerned that the mounting pieces on the case were plastic however they look pretty sturdy. Don't know how they will hold up on a spill but I hope I never find out. Overall they look and feel pretty tough. The 37L is a nice size, I got this size for the left (exhaust) side of my 800GS. It hugs nice and close to the bike. Looking forward to filling it up for some camping trips. Top load makes it very easy to pack your things. They snap on and off the bikes really easily.
I had to buy the Givi SL103 3-Case Security Lock Set in order to have matching keys for the side cases. Did not want to be carrying around excess keys. Super quick and easy to switch the locks, bought the 3 pack just in case I buy the top case in the future. Another thing is that if the case is unlocked, you cannot remove the key. Not a big deal, but just something to think about if you are at a camp site and you are unloading some things and are back and forth with the cases, maybe consider bringing the spare key (then you end up carrying extra keys anyways haha).
To sum it up...awesome cases.

Tough, great style, does exactly what I need
Hands down the best luggage I've ever used on a bike. These have gone through 9 different countries with me so far, traveled from 6,000ft down to below sea level, through snow storms, ice storms, hours of riding in constant downpours and have been exposed to countless days worth of scorching sun. I've had them for almost a full year now and they've survived a Saddle Sore 1000.

My Tiger Explorer has dual 37L Trekkers on the sides, and you'd be surprised how much 37+37 liters can hold. I've surprised the grocery store kid who carries my bags out when we're able to successfully cram an entire week's worth of groceries into these side bags.

I ordered the Trekkers as a pair from RevZilla, and the keys are all matching so I only need to carry 1 key.

They're 100% water proof. After hours of riding in the rain and getting stuck behind big trucks' water spray for a long time, my gear is still dry. The seal is so well put together, in fact, that when riding through the Swiss Alps the lid becomes more difficult to open when the altitude changes and there's a vacuum inside the Trekker case.

I added some reflective stickers to the cases for night time or bad weather driving. The Givi stickers that you could buy for these Trekkers are good as side stickers or on the front (I put mine on the front angle of the Trekkers) but they are a bit confusing on the back since they're not red. I ended up putting reflective stickers trimmed down a bit meant for a trailer. You can buy those at almost any tractor/farm/home improvement store.

All in all, the only thing that could make these better would be if the price was lower without sacrificing anything. These weren't a quick spur of the moment purchase due to their price tag. Quality is worth it though.

I love these cases.

I would definitely buy them again if I needed to and that's saying something.

They were also very easy to install and are easily mounted/dismounted.

Great Side Case
Seems like good construction. I've used it for a few weeks now. Easy to get on and off the bike. I like that the same key lock opens the case and detaches it from the rack.

Excellent Cases, They look great on my bike!
Excellent Product! I am very happy with GIVI products in general, but these cases are beautiful! The instructions are a little vague but once they were installed it looked great. It takes about 5 seconds per side to install or remove the cases.

Nice job Givi.
I recently purchased the Givi Trekker Outbacks for my 2013 Yamaha Surer Tenere. I decided on the 37L and 48L in Black.I ride with a passenger most of the time and they don't get in the way at all , we love all the room as we like to bring extra clothing with us on our travels.Great product boxes fit very tight to mounting brackets no rattles shakes or movement at all.

Awesome bags, vast improvement over stock Vstrom 1000 bags
I bought these because the stock bags on the vstrom 1000 are uselessly small and oddly shaped. I haven't tried yet but I am SURE I could fit everything from both stock bags packed full into ONE of the 37L cases.
They are VERY light, and I worry about what will happen if I drop the bike, they seem sturdy though. The brushed surface gets scuffed a little from your shoe hitting it if you aren't careful when swinging your leg over the bike but who cares. I love them and would buy them over again without hesitation. I plan on ordering the matching top case next month.

Great Product!
I bought the rack and the two sizes of box available to mount to my Triumph Tiger 800 XC and found the install to be straight forward and fast. The system is solid, no rattles or moving around even at speed over rough terrain and down the highway in heavy winds. The quick release is fast and painless, although the latch and release on one side took a bit of break in to work as smoothly as the other.(One good ride and 3-4 mountings)
I am glad I made this purchase and would make it again.

These are amazing! Super simple to pull off and on the bike. Lots of room. My wife carried everything she needed for a 4 week trip in these two bags. They look 100 times nicer than anything I've seen on any other Tiger, including the ones offered by Triumph. Reasonable price for the quality. Outstanding!

I like the look and space of aluminum panniers. I've had a set of OEM panniers on my prev F800GS. I now have an R1200GSW and wanted aluminum panniers, but didn't feel I had to pay top dollar for a decent set. Searched brands out there and saw Givi's alum panniers and liked the space and features of this set. Got a great price from Revzilla, free shipping and great savings!

Is the Givi Trekker Outback waterproof? They don't mention that in the description.
Tim H on Oct 18, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I rode through two moderate rainstorms with a 37L and a 48L case attached to my '08 R12GS. Neither leaked. My guess is that Givi doesn't claim the cases to be waterproof as they can't control a rider "tweaking" the fit of the top to the bottom following a crash. Overall, very pleased with the performance of the cases. Cam release mechanism can be a little sticky at first, but it loosens up quickly.
Does this bag have brackets to carry reserve fuel tanks?
A shopper on Nov 11, 2014
BEST ANSWER: GIVI makes their own bracket, Model number E148. It attaches to the lower metal tie points on each pannier. Each side case with the fuel bracket, can carry 2.5L (total of 5L) of gasoline.
Will a full face helmet fit?

BEST ANSWER: 37 liter - no. 48 liter - yes. I have the XD-4 from Arai and it fits the 48 with plenty of room to spare for drink bottles, gloves, etc. The 37 is not wide enough.
Hi,
With the trekker outback how do I know if I need a right or left fitting pannier.
Would the exhaust side on my Triumph Tiger 800xc be classed as right side for a 37 ltr case and the other side classed as left side for a 46 ltr case?
Just to say I'm in Scotland so our near side and off side are totally different from your country??
Thanks
John
A shopper on Dec 11, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The one is the picture is right or exhaust side. Key toward the back of the bike. In the US - Right Side is typically Starboard side; Left Side is typically Port side. Rt (starboard) side 37l and left (port) side 46l works well on my tiger.
