Even though the installation instructions don't say much, the pictures make it pretty easy to install. I installed the Givi crash bars on my 2013 KLR 650 in 2 hours, by myself, including removing and reinstalling the skid plate. I read several reviews of the Givi, SW Motech and Happy Trails crash bars and I can't say for sure how they will perform just yet, or comment on their durability yet either (which is why I only rated them average, at this point, in those categories), but I can say that I did read reviews of the SW Motech bars denting the gas tank in a tip over, and reviews of the Happy Trails bars breaking the radiator shrouds in a tip over, but I could not find any negative reviews about the Givi crash bars, so I went with the Givi's. Hope I made the right choice. Time will tell! I'll get back with a follow up, if I have any "mishaps" and let you know how they held up, but hopefully not, to be honest. Also, BEST OF ALL! Revzilla delivered them in ONE DAY! That's AWESOME SERVICE! You guys definitely earned my business! December 31, 2012
Great look and easy install Installed on my 2012 KLR650 and i love how easy it was to install and looks great. i hope never to have to use it but it is there if needed. December 24, 2012
2012 KLR650 Givi Crash bars Bought the Givi's from Revzilla, fast shipping as usual, crash bars arrived in good shape except 1 very small light scratch which I wasn't to concerned about. I installed these using a torque wrench and locktite (after all KLR stands for keep locktite ready lol) no excess vibration up to 5500rpm. The seem like they will be durable & should perform well but not planning on testing that if you get my meaning. Will definately be buying from Revzilla again, they are 2 for 2 on customer service & fast shipping. December 17, 2012
great overall product Haven't had the chance to crash these bars yet, and that's okay! Very easy mounting, everything lined up. No special tricks when removing engine mount bolts, just take them out. Great finish on the bars. They look great on the bike! Call me crazy, but I think they stiffen the bike...never been so quiet. No vibrations or resonance. October 8, 2012
Looks OEM on a 2012! Sharp looking, solidly built crash bars. Perfect fit all around on my 2012 KLR650, and installation was a breeze. The black powdercoated finish matches perfectly with the new 2012 black KLR frame. No problem getting my side panels off with these installed. Highly suggested! September 24, 2012
only caveat is skid plate removal became tedious :/ Retained (yet replaced) OEM mounting positions for the skid plate. The new holes are NOT threaded, so now I have to use two tools to hold the nut and turn the fastener to remove the skid plate. Three tools, because the rear skid plate mounts were unaffected, so it went from one tool, to three: 10mm nut and 8mm bolt head up front, and hex-head allen in the rear. Other than that, these GIVI crash bars are the cat's paws. No need for HWY Pegs! Very nice to throw my calves up on the bars for highway comfort lounging. Very good. The wind buffeting in this position makes anything over 55 mph unbearable with the stock windshield. Recognize. Cross brace that goes through the bike, under the tank, near the carb is brilliant. I have no vibrations or rattles on my 2012 KLR that I've heard of some people complaining about. It came with 2 o-rings, with no details as to where to put them in the one page instructions. I put them in the piece that connects to the sides up front. (this seems like an inherent place to develop rattles, since it's a loose, "press" fit assembly) The o-rings just "squeezed out" of that piece, and are now resting on the main bars, but positioned so that the bars don't rub against the frame - which they would if not for that squeezed out, out of place o-ring. The money saved over other options, and no need for additional HWY Pegs that stick out and look goofy, sold me on these. The most important factor, was that these GIVI bars do not mount to the footpeg bolts, an already weak area, and usually interfering with aftermarket skid plates. I was able to mount an awesome aftermarket skid plate made in Germany with the GIVI Crash Bars with no qualms. ("refrain from mentioning competitors or the specific price you paid for the product") I also like how they stick out further from the sides than other options, adding to the already beefy girth of the bike's intimidating stance. I have my "training bars" on! The installation instructions could be better, and I required someone to hold the big pieces in position in order to attach them. The quality of the included parts and the welding is good. I had to bend and/or pry some of the pieces into position in order to have the holes line up, but I think this is to be expected because of the free form of the design. I did not have to re-drill any holes. I think the finish is moderate, and only time will tell of the finish durability. I like the looks of the motorcycle better with these mounted. I think frame rigidity is enhanced with the lateral brace that is between the cylinder block and the carburetor joining left and right brace together. I hope to save money if (when) the bike goes down doing some of the great off-road adventures I want to do. When asked by my father who has ridden motorcycles for over 40 years if he could ride my bike; I replied, “Sure, I have just put on the training bars.” He doesn’t think my brand of humor is funny. Spend a little more I installed the Givi bars myself, need 2 people for sure to help put pressure on the oppisite side to secure the bolts properly. Instuctions are clear but sparse, I fastened middle first that worked best for me. Bars do vibrate so I am going to install rubber washers and then locktight. Over all I say they are ok if you are on a tight budget like me, but for 40 bucks could of got much more. April 2, 2012

Answer:
The Givi Crash bars for the KLR 650 do not block access to the oil filter, drain plug or carb. They weigh about 12.5 lbs with included hardware.

Answer:
It's not telling me what product you're inquiring about. I was on the GIVI Crash Bars page, so if that's what you're wondering will work with a twenty-twelve KLR, then the answer is yes.
