Givi TN355 Engine Guards Super Tenere XT1200Z 2010-2013
Good guards, great price.
These engine guards may not have the cleanest welds or perfect alignment at the weld points, but at the end of the day they are just crash bars. For the price paid, I'm extremely satisfied.

this crash bar looks great on the tenere
looks great and the black color goes good with yamahas black. the paper directions that shipped with the product were not good but it was simple to figure out. i would highly recommend !

very happy with guard
The guard was an easy install. I think it a great product for the lite crash or fall over. This was a must have for me i will be doing a lot of off road adventurer.

Not bad for the money plus they look good.
Pretty easy to install the directions are a little confusing. I followed other people’s suggestions on the best way to install and it worked out fine.

I had to rate all features of this product to the maximum grade, despite of the fact that I think all extreme opinions to have little credibility. But in this case I have no alternatives but to do that. I dropped my bike twice and this product really did it's job. It held the impact (the first one was really strong), didn't break or got bent or scratched. Simply amazing.
I think it looks way better than competitive protectors and matched perfectly my Givi auxiliary lights.
I really recommend this one.

Excellant value compared to competive products
Some connecting welds need to be dressed a little better. Installation instructions need to be updated with torque values of mounting bolts. But is an excellent value for the money!

The Givi engine guard is an excellent buy! The guard came with everything needed for a quick and painless installation, every nut, bolt, and washer. The fit was great; there was no bending, or prying to get holes to align. I really can’t comment about performance or durability since it’s only been on my bike for about a month (it looks very durable). I decided to go with the Givi for my Tenere because of the price and appearance. It would be very difficult justifying what other manufacturers are charging for their guards after seeing, and installing the Givi.
I highly recommended the Givi if you’re looking for a well made engine guard, and not a lot of glitz.

OK, but may change for something else later
I have used Givi crash bars before. In the case of the DL1000 they performed very well and the design seemed sensible. In the case of the Super Tenere, it is a bit more questionable. This may be in part du to the way the body of the motorcycle is designed. Givi had to deal with the attachement points provided by Yamaha. All in all, it will do better than no protection, but how it will handle a hard fall is something I hope I never get to see.
