Perfect except for the instructions
The bars feel very sturdy and strong; provide good protection while allowing access to both side fairings.

The instructions state to install the side crashbars and then do the center braces and attach points. Please ignore the instructions and installt he center stuff first and then the side crash bars will bolt right on.

Great looking product with nice functionality.

great price, great service, great crash bars
I had the factory bars, they were nice, but, these look better. I could have saved a few bucks waiting for some unknown dealer to order them, receive them and then ship them on to me, but, Revzlla had them in stock and shipped the next day,I had them to install by the weekend. DO the center bar then the outside.bars. EZ to install. Very happy with REVZLLA and the Givi bars.

Good product.
To me, a good addition to the bike. The protection seems good and installation was easy enough (I have no mechanical training). I had to buy an extra long 6 mm allen wrench with a T-handle ($6) to reach 4 of the bolts inside the tubing, but that was it. I had read on the forums that some people had trouble installing the central part of the guard, but was not an issue for me. Just leave the bolts of the side guards loose at first and make sure to thread the holes on the central portion of the guard into the corresponding fixed pins protruding from the S-shaped brackets before bolting it in place and you will have no problems...I didn´t!

Excellent value and work well
I like the look of the bars, and they protect the right areas. I have unfortunately tested them once already - they did their job well with no bending. Installation took about 45 minutes - but fit the centre sections before the outside ones (opposite of what the instructions say).

Looks awesome, feels sturdy, good investment!
Out of the box: they look awesome, the fit and finnish are impressive. Installation: the instructions are...well...somewhat confusing. I did alot of "hit and miss" on the install. Hint: start in the middle and work your way out...meaning: install the guards last. Also, have both metric and inch tools available, as I had to use both...odd! I hope I never have to use them, but regardless, money well spent.

Very very nice
Nice and sturdy bars and with style.
All this without paying a crazy amount.
Finish and style is 10/10 and it is made in Italy, which is not China....

Better than expected
After reading reviews I was a little worried that these guards wouldn't be very durable. After getting them and installing them I feel my bike is safe from falling over off road. The guards mount very sturdy and are quite heavy. They may not be the prettiest option but they are one of the cheapest. As with all GIvi products I own the directions are terrible. Good thing the install isn't too bad. PS You need a long 6mm hex key for install.

GIVI makes great products and these crash bars are just what I wanted and needed.
After reading all the reviews of the various crash bars available for my Super Tenere I decided to buy the GIVIs. I had a set of GIVI crash bars on my '09 Kawasaki KLR650 and they worked great through many hard off road adventures. The GIVI crash bars look great on my '15 Super Tenere and protect the areas that are of most concern in a tip over. I also like the fact that the side panels on my motorcycle can be removed for servicing the battery without removing the crash bar. The installation instructions for these bars are completely backwards to what is necessary for installation. The brackets on the front of the engine need to be installed before the actual crash bars on each side. Another good thing about these crash bars is the lower bend on each side is an ideal place to attach highway pegs.

Givi Engine Guards
Engine guards were fairly straight forward to install. Works great and I'm able to mount a set of highway pegs on the guards.
I have the McCruise cruise control on the Tenere. Only glitch I ran into, and it's not Givi's fault, is that the one support for the guard on the front of the engine goes right through the area where the McCruise cruise control component is located. I was able to modify the mount to fit around the McCruise and it worked out well.

Had these on my 2012 for 63,000 miles
Had them on my 2012 XTZ1200 for about 5 years and NO problems. I ordered them AGAIN along with other stuff from REVZILLA for my 2016 XTZ1200ES. I like them, others do also.

Will these bars fit a 2015 Super Tenere ES?
A C on Jan 11, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the Tenere frame where these attach hasn't changed.
Hi there,
if i get the GIVI crash bar for my super Tenere, will i still be able to remove the plastic cover sidings with the bars still on?
Thanks,
T.
A shopper on Apr 12, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes, you will be able to remove the side covers. I have done it several times on mine to add accessories. It is a tight fit, but I have not had any scratches or other problems. Enjoy the Tenere.
Hi, I have a 2010 XT1200Z Super Tenere. I have the OEM Yamaha crash bars on the bike already, which cover the engine and the front of the bike. I am looking at more protection to the areas that the Givi upper crash bar covers. Does anybody know if the Givi upper crash bars are able to be fittied whilst still keeping on the OEM Yamaha crash bars? Any help would be appreciated, Cheers, Brad.
A shopper on Jul 26, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The givi bars use the holes where the plastic guards went and all 4 bolt holes on the front of the bike. I don't know where the OEM one mounts to but I'm guessing there will be an interference.
