So fare I really am glad I got these. They are not cheep but than no panniers are. I have not taken them on the road/trail yet. Nor have I dumped the bike with them on. So time will tell? But so fare they seem good quality user friendly panniers.

Plate made of plastic
The brackets that connect the plate to the bike are made of metal. The plate is made of plastic. For the money the whole thing should be metal. The monokey system is a great idea, but plastic base parts like this create points of failure in my eyes. The install was easy on the Super Tenere, but had I known that it was made of plastic I would have gone with a different top case system.

I perviously owned Givi luggage on my Blackbird. I had it for 12 years without a hitch. Never leaked, always went on and off without trouble. I expect nothing but the same from this set. I mounted the full Trekker set on a 2012 Tenere, again, without a hitch. It took me a bit less than an hour. I do not plan on taking it onto any "single track" style terrain, however, I am sure it will see some dirt and gravel roads. The styling is good, and is a much better value than other gear in the same category!
My only complaint, if there was a true one would be, the tool for taking the racks off (quick disconnect racks) is not available alone yet, only with the purchased luggage and is very specialized. In essence, if you loose the disconnect tool, the racks will not come off.

For reference: Mounted on 2012 Yamaha Super Tenere
Bought the 3-piece set, including the Trekker (E120) Rack for the Top Box.
This set is really well packaged. Quality looks and feel great. Simplicity is an understatement where it came to install these, I had the rack mounted, all 3 boxes attached, Rack and back pad mounted all in under 30 minutes, including reading the pretty detailed but completely necessary instruction sheets.
Have not carried anything heavy in the boxes yet but they feel like they will do the job nicely. The Top Box also will make a great pillion back rest as I did add the padded piece to the box along with the rack to strap even more cargo onto.
RevZilla has these are a great price and actually did match another sites price (I MUCH prefer to buy from RevZilla, even if I did have to pay a few bucks more - but don't tell them that - LOL).
Shipping for all the pieces took only a few business days from ordering and everything was packed nice and secure, I have a growing pile of RevZilla boxes in my Garage!
