The PLR5108 Rapid Release Side Case Racks provide an easily removable mounting option for Givi Monokey Side Cases. The quick release function allows riders to remove the side case racks from their motorcycle quickly, without having to go through the pain of unbolting them from the subframe.

Perfect solution for occasional pannier use
The exact solution I was looking for on my 2014 R1200GSW, with typically excellent Givi fit/finish, simplicity and value.
Because I only use panniers a couple of times a year for cross-country and camping trips, I didn't want pannier racks that messed up the lines of the bike, added unnecessary weight and just generally got in the way. These Givi quick disconnect racks are easy to install, strong, stable and fit perfectly. A mating hole is even provided at each side's front mount tab to install a padlock or bolt & nut when the racks are installed for extra security. The small hardware mount points left on the bike when the racks are removed are unobtrusive, and using the special tool the racks install or remove in less than a minute once the mount points are installed. If you really dislike the top QD mounts when the racks are off the bike, they can be removed in about two minutes and you're back to stock but I find them useful as tie-down strap/bungee anchor points.
The racks worked perfectly during a recent week-long trip for supporting a pair of large soft panniers, with the included exhaust deflector plate also a very nice touch. The racks keep the panniers close to the bike, but just far enough from the muffler to avoid any heat issues. I'll be buying a pair of the excellent and relatively inexpensive Givi Monokey panniers to use on the racks when no off-road riding is involved. Nice to have this versatility, especially considering the Givi QD rack price point. I can't imagine a better pannier rack system for this bike, regardless of the price paid.
One note: Although a pair of brackets are provided for relocation of the rear turn signals further rearward, that step was unnecessary on my 2014 model bike. Perhaps the 2013 R1200GSW have longer signal stalks that could interfere when panniers are mounted.

Outstanding Product, Reasonable Installation
I have owned Givi Trekker luggage for the past couple of years and as with all Givi products, I have been very impressed wth the fit, finish and overall quality. I recently changed bikes from a 2012 K1300s to a 2014 R1200gs. I had previously used the SW Motech rack system and decided to try Givi's solution on the new bike. I am very happy that I did. When the side racks are removed, it is difficult to tell that you even have brackets installed. This was something that always bothered me with the SW Motech product. I felt it ruined the look of the bike. The Givi system is beautiful and quite unobtrusive. I also like the quick lock mechanism. It requires a special tool to put it on and take it off the bike. The SW Motech would install and remove with a flat head screwdriver. It wasn't really secure. Best of all, the Givi rack system was offered at a great price through Revzilla. Shipping was super fast and I have already used it with loaded cases on a weekend trip. Great job Givi and Revzilla. I am a happy camper!
