Givi Monokey Trekker Set Cases

Available in two versions, with a capacities of 46 LT ( TRK46N) and 33 LT (TRK33N), the new TREKKER bags are the best solution for the bikes equipped with exhaust pipes only on one side. Buy affixing the smaller bag to the side with the exhaust pipe , and the larger on the other, in many cases you can solve the issue of asymmetry (a problem that you might find using traditional side bags). Thanks to special selectors placed inside the bags, you can convert each version to either to fully open the entire lid or only the uppermost smaller opening (very practical for quickly accessing items from the bag, avoiding any ill timed spilling the whole contents). Elaborately trimmed in steel foil, these bags are not necessarily specific to just enduro bikes, they can also be a luxurious accessory on the elegant ones. This peculiar diversity sold in a single unique package, combined with its ability to be used as a top case on the Monokey plates, gives to the customer the opportunity to choose the best combination to mount to the bike in order to suit his/her space needs.

What are the warranty details on the Givi Trekker bags? Being used on an Adv Bike I would suspect they would be prone to easy accidental damage, even a lay-over while stopped would put the weight of the bike on the bags. Would the bags be strong enough to support the weight of a full size bike in a lay-over?

Answer: 
I believe the manufacturer's warranty is one year for defects, however, unless the product arrived scratched, this wouldn't include any cosmetic damage. The bags are definitely strong enough to withstand a tip-over without more than scratches. In a crash, they will likely buckle, but I've seen some bikes saved by the luggage as if it were a rear crash bar.

If all 3 cases are purchased as a set, they will use the same key for all 3. If purchased separately, there is a tumbler replacement kit that you can use to key them the same. In order to mount on your 2008 BMW R1200GS, you will need the specific mount kits. For the top case, you have 2 options: 1) mount plate that fits to original rack (GIVI SR684) or 2) mount plate that replaces original rack (GIVI SR689). To mount the side cases, you will need the Tubular Pannier Holder for Monokey boxes (GIVI PL684).

You do need the key to access either the clam-shell or the top access corner. The Givi E41 do allow for access without a key, by implementing a 3-digit combination lock on a side access panel. I have these for my Honda 919 and they work great. I've linked the product for you below:
