Easy to install and it looks good too
The install was easy. The fit was perfect. I really like that I can reuse my older case on a new bike.

Very sturdy, high quality
Used it on a long road trip this summer for a Givi 46L. It was a hassle free installation. I've done 10kmi with it with no problems.

Defective
There was extra plastic inside the area that the case latches into. This prevented case from latching. Revzilla quickly looked at other M7's in stock and found same situation. They recommended the M5 and promptly sent me a return label for the defective M7 and shipped an M5. Revzilla is always the best customer service!!

Could be better
Odd that Givi make a plate for a case that is locked but the plate itself could easily be removed with common tools. The nuts connecting the plate to the mounting hardware could be taken off with a wrench and plier. A hammer or somone to help pick the case straight up will get the case off. Kind of looks odd sitting bare on the back of the bike. Wish I could easily take it of like the plxr mounting hardware.

Purchased with the 47L top case. Very sturdy and now my passenger has a back rest.

Will install in preparation of buying a Givi Monokey case.
Price is comparable to NZ prices and no one sells M7 plate (even the M5 plate is hard to find).

Good brand name reputation, looks good.

Honestly, there weren't a lot of choices for my bike (2013 FZ8) that came with good reviews. Not at all sorry I got it though. I've had it on there a month and so far it's functioned as advertised and seems to be a very solid, quality part.

The fitment notes say "Requires bike specific FZ series Monorack Sidearms for installation". Where do I get these sidearms?
A C on Jan 19, 2016
BEST ANSWER: You have to find the ones specific to your bike. This is what I bought for my 2005 FZ6:
http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/givi-351fz-top-case-support-brackets-yamaha-fz6-2004-2010

The picture shows a mounting plate, but it's not included and the description states you have to purchase it separately.
Will this work on my 2016 BMW R1200RS on the factory rear luggage rack?
WayneInHouston on Oct 11, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No, this is designed to fit as part of a system for Givi specfic sidearms/luggage mounting system. You need a universal monokey or monolock plate depending on the type of Givi topcase being used. The monolock and monokey systems are not interchangeable, case type must match plate type.
I intend to purchase a GIVI Luggage top box (E55 Maxia) or similar along with the appropriate mounting brackets (267FZ) but was wondering which top plate to use for my 2012 HONDA VFR1200? M7, M8A or M8B or other? Any assistance you could offer would be appreciated.

BEST ANSWER: Revzilla has asked if I could answer a question for you about a Givi top rack. I ride an 06 Yamaha FZ 6. I am not familiar with your VFR. All I can say is to be sure you get the right rack for your top box, that is Monokey or Monolock. Sorry I'm not more help.
Hi, Does this one is compatible with the Givi Monokey 52 Liter Trekker Case?? Is there any major diference between this and the M5?
Thanks
LUIS M on May 25, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Im sure its compatible .... I have the 47 litre monokey and it works great ... Looks a lot better than the old plate when you dont have a box on it too.

Cheers
Is there four mounting holes? Also is what is the distance between them? I want to know the distance as my back rack is more custom has four mounting holes and is shaped like a trapezoid.
Christian S on Jan 19, 2016
BEST ANSWER: There are six mounting holes. They line up with GIVI bike specific mounting bracket holes. I don't know the measurements. You might want to try the universal mounting plate:
