Lids are well made I had to order these because one of the originals broke off due to not locking down properly and while cruising down the road it flew open and snapped-off. There is a certain way you MUST latch the top cover to prevent this. You MUST push-in the outer red latch release button when latching the cover back down or it will NOT actually be locked. It will act as if it is but, believe me, it is not. I got my Givi cans used when I bought a V-Strom that had them. I had no idea of this small, but very important piece of, information. I hope it helps someone before they have a problem like I did. This and the fact that they took a VERY long time to get ( NOT REVZILLA's PROBLEM ) are the only real issues I have with the lids. Great fit, easy install, look great. Recently lost one lid and decided to replace the pair so that they matched. Gloss silver was not available in the US at the time. Revzilla went above and beyond to get me a set. It took two months to get from Italy but that isn't their fault. No one I checked with had them. They installed easily and fit perfectly. I think the price is too high for what they are but there is little price difference between retailers. Double check your lid's latches before riding. The original one I lost either came unlocked or I didn't latch it securely and when I hit the highway the hinges ripped off at about 75 mph. They were about 4 years old. I still love my Givi E41 panniers and my keyless top lids. The gloss silver matches my 04 V-Strom perfectly. August 1, 2011
