A pillion necessity for the E55 Topcase
The GIVI E111 backrest presents a sleek look on the E55 tech case and the style/color scheme work well with my Concours 14. If you ride pillion, this is an essential comfort accessory (especially if that passenger is your significant other!). Installation was very simple using the included template and simple to understand visual instructions. The backrest material and mounting look very durable. The neutral silver and black colors should work well with any bike. My wife and I have made several long distance rides since installing the backrest and she appreciates the added comfort factor this accessory delivers.

Nice product, easy install
Some feedback suggested this backrest could push the passenger too far forward into the rider especially with large top cases. My installation was on a Kawi Concours with a E55 Givi case. I was pleased when this backrest fit my passenger just fine. No issues with pushing the passenger forward. The backrest is firm but soft enough to provide comfort for the passenger.

High priced, but looks great and works perfectly.
After spending as much as I did for the E55 top case, I felt I should buy the matching back rest. The template didn't quite match the case, but I was able to center it for mounting without much trouble. Tension filled moment drilling into the brand new case, but everything turned out great. Seems to be A LOT of money for what this is, but I wanted it to match....

Decent backrest
Its small but provides support and keeps passenger back off the case. Downside is if you plan on removing the case from your bike, you cant stand it up because the backrest is in the way.

No frills. Good pad.
Installation was very easy. Nothing fancy about it, but serves it's purpose adequately. Does seem a little simple for the price but it is well made.

too expensive
Looks great and the build quality is top notch. However, installation was difficult and the price is easy too high.

Nicely made
The template provided to drill the holes in the lid of the top case works pretty well. I advise that you attach the template to the back of the pad, make the holes and then locate the pad and template to the lid. Secure the template to the lid, then remove the pad and drill the holes.

I'm not a fan of drilling holes into the lid cover, but that's the way it works. Perhaps velcro would work.

Great, except . . .
It's simply too thick. It should be about half of its thickness. My e55 tech top case won't go back far enough to make my passenger comfortable with it. I'd take it off, but with the holes already in the lid, it's too late. Good quality and appearance but not useabe.

Bought this hoping to make my Givi 52L monokey more comfortable for my wife. Didn't happen. I ended up replacing the Givi with a backrest from PIrates Lair and a T-Bag from my buds at Revzilla.
