Givi AF3101 Airflow Windscreen for Suzuki V-Strom DL650

This stylish, well-constructed replacement windscreen features improved height and shape with top-notch quality. Mounts in minutes using stock fasteners. Features clear tint and precision-cut shape. Overall height is 29.5" (750mm); maximum width is 23.6" (600mm), approximately 4 inches (10cm) taller than the original screen. Specific sliding wind-screen, transparent, complete with fitting kit. Maximum height 56cm (12cm of extension) width 43cm

The AIRFLOW is the most versatile Givi windshield to date.

The adjustable spoiler allows the rider on the fly to easily and quickly make adjustments. Made of transparent polycarbonate, the adjustable spoiler is infinitely adjustable along the 4.7" (12cm) of travel. Once the desired setting has been selected a simple and secure clamp will keep it in place.

The design of the AIRFLOW system creates an aerodynamic effect that eliminates turbulence, allowing for maximum protection from wind thus reducing rider fatigue.

Another important feature is the ability to reduce AIRFLOW to the rider to increase driving safety while raining: the "spoiler effect" reduces and, can at times, eliminate rain from collecting on the visor and reducing vision. During the warmer days the AIRFLOW spoiler, can easily be removed allowing travel with only the lower part of the windshield as well.

Note: Includes fit kit.

This is my favorite upgrade for my DL650
The DL650's stock windscreen really sucked for me, no matter which of its' 3 available mounting positions I used. Wind buffeting and noise really made riding at highway speed unpleasant. Now that I have the Givi Airflow installed, the difference is like night and day. I can cruise around at 45-50 mph with my shield open and not even notice the wind in my face. Much fewer bugs are impacting my helmet too, and when I hit highway speed my head is no longer getting batted around like a piñata. Delightful!

Highly recommended.

Best accessory so far for my Suzuki V-Strom DL650.
Just received my Givi Airflow in yesterday. Seriously people, just spend the $200. It's worth every penny and more.

What a difference such a small piece can make! From the lowest setting to the highest, no buffeting experienced when traveling under 55mph. Once above that, I found 2 sweet spots, one about an inch from the bottom, the other about 3" from the highest. Very comfortable cruising on the interstate now.

Improved buffeting & easy to adjust
I'm about 6 feet tall and couldn't get the stock windscreen set to an acceptable level of buffeting. With the airflow, I can actually hear the bike now which makes riding much more enjoyable. It is very easy to adjust the height for various riding conditions. Overall, I'm very happy with the airflow. I don't know how it compares to the other aftermarket options.

Excellent Improvement Over Stock Windshield
At 6'2", I was getting annihilated by the wind coming off of the stock fairing of my 2012 Suzuki V-Strom 650 ABS. The noise and buffeting were unacceptable. Although this windshield is a bit expensive, it was completely worth it. I finished the install earlier tonight, and took my bike for a little highway riding. The difference is DRASTIC--very light buffeting. At this point, the wind is hitting the very top of my helmet, but there are more adjustable positions I haven't tried. Despite the price, I highly recommend.

Big improvement!
I purchased the Givi AF3101 for my 2012 Suzuki vstrom650. It is a huge improvement over the stock windshield. It mounted quickly and easily, and got rid of most of the buffeting. In all fairness, I am 6'1 and wear a Shoei hornet ds helmet (it has a visor, like a dirtbike helmet). So, it would require a very large windshield to eliminate buffeting for me completely, but at least I can hear my engine now when cruising at highway speeds. I have to say also, I think the windshield looks great, and I like the adjust-ability too! The only down side is it's expensive compared to other windshields. But you get what you pay for, and the quality is clearly evident. Good job Givi!

Outstanding product!
The buffeting on the V-storm with the factory windscreen is painful for my 6'1" frame. I gained instant relief in both buffeting and wind noise with the installation of the GIVI Airflow windscreen. It is worth every penny. As nice as the DL-650 was to ride before the Airflow installation, it is now a perfect machine to enjoy.

That's more like it!
Removed the stock windshield on my 13' V-Strom 650 Adventure. This is a drastic improvement. One of the most thought out, functional additions to the bike that I have made. Adding this windshield and installing a fork brace, really improved the stability of the bike. Still playing around with height changes. You can actually feel the changes when you make the adjustments. Great looks. Take care to clean it properly as it will scratch as any shield would. There were a few small rainbow type inconsistencies in the clarity of the plastic when new. Most likely a release agent that seemed to lessen after a few washes washes.

Easy Install and Instant Result
Purchased a brand new 2014 DL650 Adventure and absolutely love it. Unfortunately, the included vario windscreen just wasn't enough to block my almost 6'5" frame. Grabbed the GIVI Airflow and after 10 minutes of install, I was on the road loving it. Adjustments to the screen are easy, and I feel confident that nothing is going to pop loose on the road.

I like to lower the screen a bit when I am out in the mountains, then pop it up for some cruising at 70+ mph on the interstate. Great buy. Highly recommend.

Much less buffeting than stock Adventure Screen
I replaced the stock adventure screen with a Manta at approximately 10k miles. I was pleased with the big Manta. However, it seemed to really be affected by passing big rigs. The Manta developed a crack during a sub-freezing ride, at 20k miles. It was not a bad crack & the Manta is very thick & well made. I think I had over-tightened the bolt. I had read very good reviews for the Givi Airflow & decided to give it a try. The Airflow pretty much eliminates buffeting. I do get more wind around the sides, compared to the Manta (the Manta is a whole lot wider). The shaking while following big rigs is much better, than the Manta. Bottom line - If you want to get completely out of the wind, the Manta may be a little better. However, I think the Airflow is a good balance, eliminating the effects of big rigs and getting rid of the buffeting.

Interstate speeds are comfortable for hours now!
Easy install. High quality. Adjustable height. Looks good, not out of place at all. Smooths out the turbulent air above 60 mph that used to hit the top of my helmet and shake my vision if I sat up straight with the stock screen. No more hunching at interstate speeds. Very satisfied. Highly recommend it.

On Line reviews. Upgraded from the Puig Touring screen and love it! Finally a nice windscreen for taller V-Strom riders.
Love the easy adjustibility, and simple installation.
I would highly recommend to anyone looking for more wind protection on their V-Strom.
Adjust low for a hot day around town, and lift up for serious freeway and high speed riding.

I had reviewed multiple OM windscreens for my Suzuki V-Strom and decided on the Givi Airflow Windscreen. The Suzuki 650 V-Strom gets great gas mileage, but after installing the Airflow I had to check the mileage three times because I could not believe the bikes mpg reading. I went from a 55 mpg average to now averaging 63 to 68 and the only thing I have done different is install the new windscreen. I think this could possibly be because of less buffering due to the wind curtain created. Thanks.

Good reviews on all forums. Made a huge difference for me (5'11"). No more head buffeting! Still get some wind, of course, but the airflow on my head is light and smooth. Well worth the price!

The Givi AF3101 reviewed well on the adventure bike forums, the adjustability of the sliding second screen is also a huge plus, and Givi has a reputation for making quality products.

I have both Barkbuster handguard installed on my V-Strom 650. Is it Givi Airflow will fit on it with no problem hitting the handguard when make a turn on the bike?
Waigoon W on Dec 28, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I love the Givi Airflow screen and the clearance on my hand guards is very close at full lock steering but it works. The Givi screen seems to be well designed to accommodate the hand guards.
Hi, I notice this item is listed for a 2012-2013 model.
Will it also fit the 2014 model as well? I don't think anything has changed.
A shopper on May 8, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I would like to say, since the 2014 model is essentially identical to the 2012-13 model, that it would indeed fit fine. However, I'd hate to advise as such, and you find out there's a small change after ordering. Perhaps someone from Revzilla can answer you better.
Will the Givi AF3101 Windscreen fit the 2012 Suzuki DL650 with the SW Motech Quick Release GPS Mount in place?
Lawrence F on May 17, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I don't know for sure, but the 3101 mounts the same way as the stock screen and the back plane of the screen seems to be in the same place as the stock, so if it fits with the stock screen there's no obvious reason it wouldn't fit with the 3101.
Is there a different part number to order for a 2015 DL650A or is this the proper screen for that model as well?
Stacey T on May 20, 2015
BEST ANSWER: If the Suzuki part number for the stock screen is the same for 2015 as for earlier years, then it should fit. An online parts fiche or your dealer could help you answer this.
