Great-looking, secure system
I was torn between the Givi E55 vs the Shad SH50, so I tried them both. While I liked the Shad system better, I had to go with the Givi for the extra capacity.
Both systems required me to mount their proprietary system on my bike. The Givi Monorack is slightly more expensive, and better-looking than the Shad. The Monorack arms really blend in nicely with the flow of the bike's bodywork. Installation is a bit of hassle, however, requiring the removal of my sidecase mount arms, and the fairings underneath. The instructions were not very clear, so I pretty much had to go with the grainy black-and-white pictures. The system is very adjustable, perhaps too adjustable. You can get it just right, but it'll take extra time to do so. By comparison, the Shad welded mount comes as a single unit -- Three bolts and you're done with the rack. It's because of my experience with Shad that I had to give the Givi system "average" scores for "Bang For The Buck" and "Ease Of Installation" categories.

This product is made for simply said, its intended use. Not rocket science. Great product for extra luggage carry!
Overall a very good product as usual.
have been a Givi user for many years.
Amidst the many expensive brands of boxes that have gained fame recently, GIVI still does not feel inferior and never fails to deliver.
The rack is great. Installation on the Brick was a little tricky as the instruction given along with the package is pure junk!
Haha.. Help from online forums and simple common sense should still make anyone be able to fix it on your bike.
Yet to do a long trip with a fully loaded Box but dont see an issue.
I am on the GIVI MAXIA 55 btw.
Go get yours if you do not already have one!

Great, but not perfect
Installation was relatively easy, although it required removal of a couple of fairings. Performance is good, but I wish they would have left a little more clearance for the rear turn indicators.

A shopper asked:Sure - the picture shows that there is a top plate included int the 680F (for a 2002 K1200RS), but then your notes show that it requires an F Series Mount Place (sold separately). For an E45 Monokey (or others) do we need to purchase a separate mount plate?
