Seems like it'll do the job
I haven't really put it through its paces yet but it was relatively easy to install and seems strong and secure. The price seems a little high for a couple of tubes of metal but it definitely appears to be high quality, so I hope it holds up. Fairly pleased so far.

Worth the money
They're a bit expensive but totally worth it. They're extremely rugged (although I haven't crashed with them on, but I'm not about to test that out). Very easy to install with some basic tools. It was a little confused because I have the brackets for the side bags and the top case brackets use some of the same pieces. But that just makes it so you have extra parts and screws in case something breaks or goes missing (even though I'm not sure how that would happen). It wasn't hard to figure out how everything went and the instructions had pretty clear pictures. I'm using the 45L top case and I've carried some pretty heavy loads for decently long distances, everything was safe and secure. Overall it's a great product

Worth it
I am super glad I got this. I looked at less expensive alternatives but this seems perfect and looks very good. All that was needed to install was about 30 minutes, a socket wrench kit, allen wrench set, and two kinds of screwdrivers. Just make sure you don't tighten everything down til you get the last piece connected. Now that it's on it's not trying to come off. I haven't got the side bags yet but they're next up after I graduate from school.

Nice Rack :)
Seriously though, this is a well designed and durable product. The fit on my 2009 Versys was perfect. The finish is excellent. Took about an hour to install with standard hand tools.

Very sturdy, high quality
Used it on a long road trip this summer for a Givi 46L. It was a hassle free installation with the Pl447 side cases racks, although the instructions could be clearer. I've done 10kmi with it with no problems.

Installed on 2009 Versys with MFG supplied V35 side case rack.
The fitment is very close against the rear brace of the stock side case bracket. I had to tighten the bolt on the rear "arm" before installing, due to the hex head being inaccessible after installation (see images) . Took several dry fits to get all the holes to line up, but I got it installed. Took about 1:15 to get it completely done. Bottom line, take your time and dry fit everything first and you should have no trouble.

This is a required item to be able to mount the tail bag on my motorcycle. Givi has a good reputation and I have a buddy that has a Givi tail bag on his bike and loves it.

Hello everybody, I have a 2007 Versys 650 and I'm planing to get a givi trekker 46 top case. Is this bracket the only thing I need to install the top case? and If yes it will fit my model?

Thank you

BEST ANSWER: No, there is another plate you need to purchase. I can't find it in my receipt trail, but the revzilla team can definitely help. 2009 Versys 650.
Monolock case comes with a universal plate. What is it for? Why do I need the M5M monolock plate also?
A shopper on Oct 2, 2012
BEST ANSWER: For a 2008 Verseys, there are several different kits available that can be used to achieve different mounting setups. If you want to use a top case, you will need the 447FZ Topcase Monorack Sidearms and a corresponding plate. If you are going to use a Monolock case on the top you will need the M5M Monolock Plate for FZ series Topcase racks. If you are going to use a Monokey case on the top you will need the M5 Monokey Plate for FZ series Topcase Racks. For the side cases, you would want to use the PL447 system, which will allow you to mount any Monokey case except the V35 side cases. If you want to mount the V35 cases, you would need the PLX447 system. Finally, if you want to be able to mount the side cases without having the top case Monorack sidearms installed you would need the PLX447kit plus either side case system.

On a related note, the universal plate that is included with Monolock cases is designed to work with a existing luggage rack on your bike. The universal plate has all kinds of holes in it so that the user can line up this plate over their existing luggage rack. Once the mounting location has been determined, simply go to the hardware store and collect the appropriate length/size bolts and nuts needed to tighten down the plate to the luggage rack. The user should now be able to mount their Monolock case to their existing luggage rack. Similarly, if you have a Monokey case that you want to mount to your existing luggage rack, you would need the E250 Monokey Universal Adapter plate (which is not included with the case).

I want to be sure that this rack will work with the already installed side case racks.

BEST ANSWER: The Givi Monorack Sidearms will work with the factory sidecase racks.
