Easy on, Easy Off
I ride to get to work and for fun on the weekends. These bags are great for that. I can easily pop them on, and have enough storage space for my tools, clipboard and files, and extra clothes. On the weekends, when I don't want bulky bags, they come right off in one easy step.

These bags are expandable, and when expanded, they have enough space to store the Shoei GT-Air helmet which is pretty big. The bags are not what I'd call secure... Givi says they're lockable, but I wouldn't even bother. If you think someone might steal something out of the bags, don't leave it in there. I bet someone with a utility knife could slice right into the bags.

Givi also says the zippers are waterproof, but I haven't tested that claim yet.

Givi adds function to sport bikes
I am very pleased with the quality of these cases. The mounting brackets and supports (sold separately, custom fit for your motorcycle) fit perfectly, I was surprised to be able to fit a full-face modular helmet, using the 2-inch expandable feature of this soft case. I added mini-Master locks to the luggage zippers (designed for such locks) to give the cases that extra security when stopping downtown.

Support straps hidden in the expandable fold latch on to hooks on the top of the case, giving just a bit more support if you pack these cases full. And I did! They are big enough for lots of stuff that would fill up a backpack, yet small and stylish enough to not take away from the look of a sport bike. Best upgrade to make my Yamaha FZ6R a practical everyday commuter ride!

So far so good
Bought these bags for a trip recently and I am very happy with them. Big enough to pack for a 3-day trip without any issues, and I didn't even have to expand it (the bags can be expanded to a larger size than pictured on line). I like the exterior fit and finish - classy. Cannot comment on longevity since I just got them. Inside, the bags are equipped with tie-downs like Samsonite luggages (nice touch). They seem well built and appear to be able to withstand long life.

Ok hybrid bag
I knew what I was getting into before I bought these, so I can't say that I'm disappointed. They seem to be well made: the zippers move really well and the fit/finish is pretty nice. Like the other reviewers stated, don't expect any kind of security with what you put inside the bags given that they could be cut open easily with a pocket knife. It's kind of funny... Givi puts a rigid keyed lock on the bag so it cannot be detached from the rack. The message here is that their bags are important, but not your contents!

These bags look excellent on my bike, so if you're worried that adding bags to your bike will make it look less cool, you might be surprised by these.

Why did you choose this?
RevZilla Store
Needed bags for road trips. These were pricey, but the bags are GREAT. Firmly attached to the bike (Ninja 300). Easy to remove/replace. Roomy, expandable, inside zipper on one half and elastic banding on the other half keeps stuff in place. I can lay the bag perfectly flat for packing, and then stuff doesn't move around when I close the bag. Rain covers and zipper padlocks are included. Rode in a rainstorm and even without the provided rain covers the bags didn't leak.

I would like to use these saddlebags with a passenger, is it possible? I have a ducati monster 1100 evo.

will these work with monokey racks ?

What is the speed rating on these? the GIVI soft saddlebags say not to exceed 75 MPH.
Craig H on Sep 26, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I'm a venezuelan rider, we can exceed the speed limits on some highways. I had reach about 140 miles per hour sometimes with the Givi saddlebags, but not overloaded. Got a friend whose has lost both in a trip due to load and speed.
Will these fit my 2015 FJ-09, the sport touring version of FZ-09?
A shopper on Aug 23, 2015
BEST ANSWER: In order to mount this, you need three parts

1. These side bag
2. Side bracket
3. Base bracket (mounted under rear tail)

Side bags can be mounted on different bike but the brackets fits on exact model that was designed to. If you find side brackets for FJ 09, it will fit. If you don't find, then it won't fit with other bracket.
Are these bags waterproof? Looking to replace the givi ones that didn't work very well even with the rain covers. Thanks for the help.
A shopper on Jun 25, 2015
BEST ANSWER: By them selves I would say they have done a good job of keeping the water out on my commutes, with the water covers on and drawn tight I've not had anything get wet from water thrown up by my back tire. Empty they keep their shape and wipe clean easily. For soft formed bags I would have to say get them you won't be sorry.
Is there a specific mounting rack for the 2016 BMW R1200RS?
Manuel J A on Aug 2, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No, but the Givi V35 cases have a Mono-key rack custom fit for your RS. I recommend starting your search for luggage/cases by bike model to see what fits. The following describes the rack and cases for your R1200RS available at Revzilla:
"The Givi PLXR5117 Rapid Release Side Case Racks provide an easily removable mounting option for the V35 Monokey Side Cases. The quick release function allows riders to remove the side case racks from their motorcycle quickly, without having to go through the pain of unbolting them from the subframe."
Will this fit on a 2015 Monster 821?
A shopper on Apr 15, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have mine on a 2009 Aprilia dorsoduro 750, I really like it a lot. I would research the givi bracket that will fit your bike then the bracket to the saddle bags.
Does it works for a Er-6n 2014?
A shopper on Jun 17, 2015
BEST ANSWER: unknown
how do i lock the zipper? can i use any lock or do i have to use your your?
A shopper on May 4, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The bag didn't come with a lock, and not just any lock will fit. The hole for the lock mechanism is pretty small... designed for one of those little tiny luggage/suitcase locks.

It's enough to be a deterrence against casual thieves, but shouldn't be considered highly secure. That said, I really like these bags, and they are a great option between hard side cases and typical soft bags. They're well made, and look really sharp on my bike.
