Good shield, acts like a sail at high speeds, though.
This is a good shield; my 2003 SilverWing bought in 2010 came with this shield, so I didn't pick it over any other. It is easy to pledge clean and visibility through it is not a hazard; it's a tall shield, so looking over it is not an option for me. It does act like a sail at high speeds, and I avoid the highway when I can for this reason. I live in the Pacific Northwest and ride in the rain (never by choice, it just happens... often) and the "sail effect" is a great trade off for the protection it provides in the rain. My daughter dropped my bike today on the carport and alas, I need a new shield. Gonna pick up another one today, that's how much I like it.

NOT NEEDED for Silverwing!
I put a Givi windshield on my previous Silverwing, and didn't need any "fitting kit". I wanted the Givi shield on my new Silverwing, and was surprised when the Revzilla site said a "fitting kit" was REQUIRED. It isn't. I looked up an installation demo on a scooter blog, which was very helpful. That user didn't need any "fitting kit", and neither did I on either Silverwing. I can't imagine why anyone would use it, or what its purpose is, especially when it requires drilling. I can't see making new holes in my fairing, when the shield fits fine with the stock screws and holes. Did anyone at Revzilla try installing a shield on a Silverwing? If they did, they would scratch their heads, as I did, wondering Why the heck do I need this "fitting kit"?
