Giant Loop Fandango Tank Bag Pro

The Giant Loop Fandango Tank Bag Pro frepresents a major upgrade of Giant Loop’s largest, most popular tank bag (8 liters). Expandability, electronics compatibility, and features driven by rider feedback inspire this Adventure Proof state-of-the-art design.

An electronics pass-through enables on-bike charging and power inside the tank bag and/or the clear vinyl map pocket top. The Fandango PRO’s underside includes a concealed document pocket, and two separate side zippers for easy mounting to harness. Full length interior lining with hook-and-loop accepting fabric, movable divider with elastic tire pressure gauge holder and slots, exterior mesh pocket and D-ring mounts for new optional Buckin’ Roll pannier pockets (2 liters each side) are key new features.

Fuel fills are now easily accessed by simply unzipping either side from the harness, and the concave front allows vent hoses to breathe.

Fits virtually any motorcycle, including dirt, dual sport, adventure and sport machines with metallic or non-metallic tanks/shrouds.

Neat Product Use on my 2012 KTM 990 ADV R. Bought as a replacement for original Fandango bag as I lost harness for original. New version doesn't seem as well made. Great features though. Reflective material everywhere is a nice touch. Still new to motor bikes, just seems like all luggage takes for ever to access. GL seems to make it as convenient and fast as possible though. I think I got more value for my money when I bought the original a few years ago, not so with this one, quality is good, just not comparable to original model. October 26, 2015
a bit expensive but well-made and looks good on bike. Solid and well designed and I like the way the white bag looks on my white triumph tiger 800xc. Have not yet used for very long so I can't attest to durability but the material seems pretty rugged. Zippers are sturdy. No rain yet (SoCal) so I don't know about how it stands up to moisture. One nit to pick: Butler map does not quite fit in the clear top panel. September 16, 2015
Best addition to bike! This is a great bag, it has a lot of room for water, electronic, maps, wallet etc. Its easy to get on but the zipper sticks when it gets dirty/dusty, so takes an extra minute to put it back on the bike if you are taking it off a lot. August 17, 2015
Pricey but great features Fits my 08' vstrom like it was made for it. I wasn't sure prior to purchase but I'm glad I spent the extra cash and went with the GL. Holds its shape and the ease of unzipping and filling the tank is a definite plus. July 13, 2015
Best tank bag for dual sport bikes really nice bag. fits well, has good features and top quality materials. I thought it would be a bit bigger and it's pushing the price limit. at 230.00 it's a bit over-priced in my opinion but there is nothing better so I'm pleased with my purchase. Would buy 2-3 more for my other bikes if the price was a bit lower. The fact that i can buy the interchangeable base pads makes using it on other bikes a snap. June 30, 2015
Awesome I honestly don't know what Giant Loop could've done to make me like this bag more. Fits my Honda CB500x perfectly -- great design, quality & construction. June 20, 2015
Nice sized tank bag for the BMW R1200GS Was looking for something more versatile to Install on my 2010 R1200GS than the BMW offerings. The tank bag is proportioned well to fit atop the adventure styled bike, large enough to be useful, but not so large as to interfere with the handlebar movement or bar mounted controls. The design allows a range of front to back positions on the tank with adequate length in the straps and a neat stowing system on the tank platform. This has worked out well as I have been able to quickly move it to similar bikes when traveling and using other models. The bag is well constructed and the tunnel for a power / charging cable has been utilized with a handle bar mounted USB receptacle. I will say, snaking the cable through the labyrinth at the front of the bag is a bit of a challenge, the rubber grommets making ti something you want to do once and leave in place. The internal diver works well to keep things organized and convenient. Have used it in light rain without an external or internal cover and pleased with the performance on the unaired bike. The reattachment of the zipper after fueling requires some fines, but believe that is a function al issue with zippers, rather than the design or manufacture of the bag itself. Very good value for the money compared to the factory options. June 15, 2015
Looks good, works well, easy to use I bought this for my 14 Tiger 800XC. It fits great once you get it in the right position and the straps allow for easy placement. The bag zips on and off the harness really easily with the oversized zippers and I have been in a couple of heavy rain storms and although I never doubted it, it held up 100% dry inside. I love the look and will probably get the GL dry bags to match in grey for my Green tiger. I don't use the clear compartment for my iPhone GPS, I stick to the RAM mounts for that, the iPhone gets hot and is hard to read looking straight up. But for maps, directions and other quick reading reminders the clear plastic is perfect. The handle works great for carrying and it is so easy to get on and off you will take it off whenever you leave the bike if you are carrying some valuables in it (phones, wallet, house keys). I would buy this again for sure, I think I made the right choice between size, looks and durability. May 18, 2015

A shopper asked: Is it waterproof? I'm not talking about dropping it in the lake -- rather, riding for days in pouring rain with electronics inside. Nov 2, 2014

Steve S: Days of rain - expect your stuff to be moist! From my experience, any paper in the clear sleeve near the velcro will get wet but you can expect this bag to protect the inside contents from collecting water. The inside was noticeably damp in many areas after an 4 hour downpour. My tablet, phone, camera and sunglasses showed fogging/condensation but not enough moisture to "soak into" the electronics. I suspect that the seams weep water through the stitches and then the inner padding continues to absorb the moisture. I stuffed the bag with a few paper towels from the gas station and it seemed to help with collecting the moisture from the air inside the bag.
You can trust this bag to keep your stuff dry-ish but a loose fitting plastic bag around your sensitive items would provide enough protection to ride with confidence, in days of rain!

FABIAN G: I haven't had any problem and I've been riding during heavy rain on highway, but still,as the manufacturer says, I always put my electronics in a plastic bag. You never know. They also recommend to put seam seal I couldn't find it in Mexico but they say it helps. Nov 2, 2014

Willy K: I have been in rain and the contents stayed dry, but it was not pouring for days. I would probably put my electronics in a secondary, waterproof pouch in the those conditions. Nov 8, 2014

Mike B asked: Has anyone attached this bag (GL Fandango) to a 2014 or '15, BMW R1200GS Adventure? Does it work well and do you still have access to your "garage door opener compartment"? Thanks guys! Jul 1, 2015

Niels M asked: If you have the older Diablo/Fandango, can this one be mounted to it's base? I have 2 bikes and looking to see if I can switch between bikes easily without having to buy an extra base. Jun 25, 2014
