Edmund E:They come with the plug-in battery charger. It takes approx. 3-4 hours to charge them to full capacity. I bought this Oct 2012 and had been using them through the cold months here in NJ. They work reasonably well on 30-40 degree days (account for -10 to -20 degrees on the bike at interstate speeds). I would keep them at the hottest setting. You will not think they're warm enough but when you're on the road already and the wind is blowing, you'll aprreciate them. Any temps above 40-45 degrees, I was able to get the heat settings down to 3/4, even 1/2.
The down side for me is the price, but after a few rides in the cold... these are indespensible for me.
It remains to be seen how long the batteries last, this winter 2013 will be the second season for my gloves, so we'll see... good luckAug 21, 2013
David B:A charger is included and you don't have to totally discharge the batteries after each use. I wear them for skiing and I have purchased an extra set of batteries for all day use. My hands get very cold easily so on those zero degree ski days I put mitten covers over the gloves and I'm toasty warm all day. These gloves are not recommended for motorcycle use, however Gerbings makes gloves that plug into your motorcycle's electrical system that are very warm and well worth the money.Aug 21, 2013
It's best to have someone do the measuring, relax and enjoy. Let your arms hang naturally by your sides. Have the measuring tape fit snugly against the body and even to the ground. Liners are meant to be worn under outerwear clothing.
Chest - Measure around the fullest area of the chest, holding tape firm and level. Hold arms out, place tape, drop arms and record measurement.
Waist - Measure loosely at your natural waistline, typically above your beltline and closer to your bellybutton.
Hips - Measure around the fullest part of seat while standing and while sitting. Record the higher number.
Outseam - Measure from the top of the waistband to the bottom of the ankle, remember pants and pant liners will lose some length when in the sitting or riding position.
Sleeve Length - Measure from the top of the shoulder bone to the bottom of the wrist bone. Measure both arms as one arm may be longer than the other.
