I am extremely pleased with the Gerbing's Core Heat S-w Gloves.
I have Raynaud's which gets progressivley worse each year. For the first time in years, I can now go out in the cold and not have my fingers turn white and cold! I have used the 4 hour hand warmers for years, but I still got cold fingers and thumbs. These gloves have solved that and I would recommend these gloves to anyone who knows what Raynaud's is. I live in Maine and am dealing with subzero temperatures. Thank you for alowing me to give feedback on this wonderful product!

Recommend for temps between 30 and 40
These gloves work well for temps between 30 and 40 and would probably still work in the mid to high 20's. Your hands stay roughly room temp, so don't expect them to feel hot though. My only issue is that I wish the battery life was better at full power. They say you should get two hours on full power and my experience is that it's closer to an hour and a half tops. Finally they tended to run a little big for me. Mostly in the fingers which were longer then expected for the Medium size I ordered.

Works great at 40-45 degrees so far!
I've used these gloves a few times in the morning to work (30 miles, 10 interstate at 40-45, really about 10 degrees colder) and they've keep my hands very comfortable. Not quite toasty, but very comfortable. These morOne of my worries before the purchase was how long it would take to fully charge the batteries. It only 2 took a couple of hours to do so. After use life, the max setting used up half (one hour) as advertised. I only give them 4 stars because it remains to be seen how they fare on colder days in the winter. They are pretty pricey, but if they hold up for more than a few years, they will be worth it. I recommend them at their present condition, like I said it remains to be seen how well they hold up.

Not as Warm as Preferred
The gloves kept my hands warm in temperatures in the high 40s, however they do not get as warm as I would expect. The battery did not last nearly as long as the company says.
When set at anything below the high number, you can barely feel any heat, and they simply become a heavy glove. Not sure how effective they would be in colder temperatures.
They are very bulky and my hands got tired trying to grip the handles of my motorcycle.
For nearly $200, I expected something much better.

Just OK
I have a pair of the Gerbing T5 Gloves and they are fantastic. When you turn on the T5 you feel intense heat. The S-2 Gloves are just ok I was expecting to really feel the heat when turned on in a 70 degree home, not so. On high when outside at 20 degrees they just keep the hand somewhat warm. (My hands are cold most of the time anyway) The battery life is not all that good, on high I got about 1hr 45 min. Charge time is extensive, I have charged the batteries twice and both times it took 9 hours. On a final note I have compared these gloves to the T5 and don't know if that's fair but I really thought I would feel the heat when turned on.

They work, but have less heat, much less run time than advertised.
Bought these for bicycle commuting in cold weather (20 - 30 degrees), ride time, one hour. Workmanship is excellent. However, I find two of the performance claims made by Gerbing to be FALSE: 135 degree heat inside the gloves; and two hour run time on HIGH setting. Under fairly benign conditions (28 degrees F, riding 15 mph) on HIGH setting my gloves do NOT reach anything like "warm" much less 135 degrees F. In the cold, the gloves do not warm my hands, but they do prevent my hands from becoming painful with the cold - my hands simply feel cool. The lower heat settings are therefore useless for my purposes.
The BATTERY LIFE is nowhere near 2 hours on HIGH setting. After my commute of one hour, battery capacity shows only ONE light, indicating that it has only 25% charge left instead of the expected 50% charge. In other words, each indicator light represents only 20 minutes instead of the expected 30 minutes run time.
These gloves solved my problem, but just barely. I do not appreciate the exaggerated performance claims.
