nice design, ok heat. dont expect a heating blanket in a jacket I'll start off with I'm always cold always, well till it hits 90 then I'm not hot I'm just finally not cold. I unfortunately also live in Michigan. I've been wanting a heated jacket for some time. I also ride, so I really wanted something i could use both on the bike and for outdoor activities for our cold winters, this one has been especially Frigid. I received this jacket for Christmas, its now February so I've been using it for 2 months now. ( I asked specifically for this jacket) as I wanted something that looked nice as well, triple as casual. I will say I believe this jacket needs a couple cycles to say break in, at first i couldn't really feel the heat, but after running the jacket for a while, i began to feel it, it dose heat up quickly once "broken in" Now don't expect a heating blanket type of heat, it subtle heat, not meant to have a ton of layers underneath, I've been wearing a tank top and a thin log sleeve shirt underneath seems good. the neck heater is the best but i believe that's because its on bear skin and not on you clothing. paired with a top layer (on top the jacket) its really quite warm. We've had a heck of a winter so I've had the chance to test in some crazy cold temps. -10, on highest setting, you don't really notice the heat in the jacket (except the neck) but when your battery dies, you definitely realize what it was doing for you definitely wish you had a back up battery! single digits about the same as above, however you feel much warmer, I run the jacket on high in -10,0,10,20 to about 30, then use the third setting 75%, i did were it on one 40 degree day on 75% under a fleece sweater, and had to turn it off i was hot. I have not gotten a chance to try the jacket on the bike yet. I really don't feel much heat on the two lower setting but i haven't tested above 40 degrees I wanted to add the jacket is a good weight, much heavier then I was expecting, this is my first heated anything so i cant really compare. This weight isn't due to the actual heating elements, it seems the weight of the materials of the jacket. I must say this jacket seems of good construction, outer shell has some water repellentcy, I haven't tried in rain, i spilled something , it just beaded right off. It dose seem that it will provide wind protection. I will include the lining inside the jacket I would not call it a micro fleece as Anthony dose in the video, the inside of the pockets are a micro fleece, but the actual jacket liner is like a more silky smoothness to it, which at first I didn't care much for, but then i realized this made it easier to get on and off with a long sleeve shirt underneath Overall the jacket isn't quite as warm as I was expecting, as far as heat output, but after wearing for a bit you yourself seem to be warming up. (then I found some people were getting burns from there gear, (Not by this jacket), so i can see why they would want it to be hot hot), however it is warm with a outer layer, I believe it works better layering. I plan on using it on my bike once it hits 50 degrees under my riding jacket and I do believe it will do what I want it to here. I do like the jacket and i must say since Christmas I haven't left the house without it even short trips to the grocery store, I do think it may be bulky for my tank bag. overall i am very happy with the jacket. The collar can bug me but not when its zipped up, when i take my jacket off and keep it on casually it doesn't fold back like most zip up sweaters it wants to stay standing, I kinda wish they would have designed the neck a little differently so you could wear it folded back if you wanted but not a deal breaker. I did find this jacket a little on the expensive side especially for similar battery power gear being considerably cheaper, although the other options don't have a heated neck. But i have never tried or touched the other options, so i cant say for there material quality's or construction ,weight or wind. They could be cheaper for a reason but I don't know I ordered a medium I typically wear a size 6 135lbs 5'7" the fit was good, not tight but not real loose, maybe a little loose towards the bottom, but the shoulders and chest seemed more fitted, I like my size choice, has a feminine preshaped cut to it February 23, 2014
Very disappointed! I will say this is a beautiful jacket and very comfortable to wear. However, I purchased it mainly for the heating element as I already have many nice looking jackets and coats. I will be returning this for a refund as it is either defective, or the heat that it produces is a joke. I believe that it is functioning as it should, and even on the highest heat setting it puts off no more heat than the body heat that you produce inside. The ONLY part I could tell there was extra heat was around the neck part, but absolutely none on the back or on the front of the coat. I read and followed the instructions and made sure the battery was fully charged before using it. It did not work at all the way I had expected it to after reading the misleading description regarding the heat that it will put out. This is a very nice looking jacket, but for $250 I will definitely be returning it. Unfortunately, double layers and a nice scarf produce more heat than this jacket. December 23, 2013

Measurements for Proper Fit:

It's best to have someone do the measuring, relax and enjoy. Let your arms hang naturally by your sides. Have the measuring tape fit snugly against the body and even to the ground. Liners are meant to be worn under outerwear clothing.

  • Chest - Measure around the fullest area of the chest, holding tape firm and level. Hold arms out, place tape, drop arms and record measurement.
  • Waist - Measure loosely at your natural waistline, typically above your beltline and closer to your bellybutton.
  • Hips - Measure around the fullest part of seat while standing and while sitting. Record the higher number.
  • Outseam - Measure from the top of the waistband to the bottom of the ankle, remember pants and pant liners will lose some length when in the sitting or riding position.
  • Sleeve Length - Measure from the top of the shoulder bone to the bottom of the wrist bone. Measure both arms as one arm may be longer than the other.
