GB Racing Protection Bundle BMW S1000RR 2009-2014
Easy install, high quality
I installed this bundle today on my 2012 Triumph Street Triple R. I actually needed it last year because my bike fell over when I did not have the kickstand down all the way. However the new protector covers the scratches I got on the alternator cover so the bike looks good as new now.
I cannot testify to the performance or durability of this item in a crash, but it looks very well made. It is a nylon material that is meant to take the brunt of a crash so I expect it to need replacement after a bad time. That will mean it did its job as far as I am concerned.
I did find it much easier to install than I expected. You only remove about half of the screws on the alternator and clutch cover so you do not need to worry about gaskets that need to be replaced or the like. Everything fit well, but you do need to keep the screws on the covers loose until you got them all seated and started. The hardest installation was the frame sliders because there is a hard-to-get nut on the front engine bolt, but with patience it can be done.
Depending on your toolkit you may have to pick up a couple of sockets or drives. There are some deep access hex head bolts on the alternator and clutch covers so I needed to get a deep 8mm socket (2" long).
It looks great!

Everything fits well for '14 STriple except R frame slider
Everything was very easy to install except the right hand frame slider so if you are not very handy you will find this difficult to put on your 2014 Street Triple despite the fact Revzilla says it is suitable for this bike. The fairing hits the frame slider bracket so you will need to remove the right fairing, and use spacers and a longer bolt. I think this should have been included in the kit.
Overall the stuff looks great - the frame sliders are barely noticeable and GB has been highly recommended to me as being good quality.

I slid out at about 35 mph because someone ran a red light while I was going around a corner. Small scratches on a few things, that over all, are not that noticeable. It was a smooth, traction-less road and the bike slid for about 40ish feet. The biggest damage was to the frame slider and a little on the rear axle slider, with a scratch or two on the clutch cover (all on the left side).
Now, I've just gotta get new slider parts.

Best bang for your buck!
The protection package gives you the most protection for your dollar. The fit and finish for the covers is top notch. The package for the RSV4 comes with swingarm spools that are larger the oem making it easier to use your rear stand. The spools come with the same size bolts however, so you will need to make a trip to the hardware store to reattach the stock lower chain guard.

This is the third set of engine protection I have gotten from GB and they are simple, clean, effective and affordable. Also had on S1000rr and CBR600rr
