Galfer Sportbike Front Brake Line Honda CBR 600 F4 / F4i

Whether you are commuting or hitting the race track, Galfer Sportbike Brake Lines are great upgrade over your stock OEM rubber brake lines. They are constructed of a 64 strand stainless steel braid with a PTFE 62 Teflon inner lining giving them a “zero expansion effect”, this gives the rider a more consistent and confident braking feel.

Most manufacturers recommend replacing the OEM rubber brake lines after 2 to 3 years. Over extended use OEM rubber lines wear down and lose performance.

All Galfer Sportbike Brake Lines consist of two brake lines running from the master cylinder down to each brake caliper unless otherwise noted below.

Mediocre Here's my issue, there are no clear instructions included w/ the kit, just a link to the youtube video for installation instructions (seriously?). At minimum, the kit should have instructions included that dictate the qty and order of the crush washers used and the torque specifications for the banjo bolt BECAUSE THIS IS IMPORTANT INFORMATION. I broke one of the banjo bolts pretty easily, luckily I had an extra. Secondly, the dual line kit should have included a bracket to tie them to the triple tree (like it states in the video) but my kit did not include this part. Overall I'm kind of disappointed since I paid $140 for the set and it didn't come w all the parts, no reasonable instructions and lame hardware that breaks. May 28, 2015
Worth the money to upgrade over stock lines My bike's brakes were starting to feel squishy, and after trying everything else I determined that my brake lines were the problem. I ordered the galfer lines and I couldn't be happier. It's plain to see that the galfer lines are more expensive than rubber lines, but I feel that the upgrade was worth it. My front brakes feel much more responsive now, and I don't experience any fade even when I'm riding hard. I was intimidated at first by the thought of installing brake lines on my own, but it was relatively easy. There is a video out there by galfer which explains the process of installing their lines rather clearly. The instructions in the box aren't very helpful, so I would definitely recommend a video guide for anyone else who doesn't know how to install and bleed brake lines. The only problem I had was with a broken banjo bolt during the install, but that was my own full and I was able to use one of the oem ones as a replacement. The bolt broke with little warning, so I would recommend a torque wrench in order to avoid being put in a similar situation. Luckily the kit included extra crush washers, so that wasn't a problem either. June 30, 2014
