Forcefield Back Protector Pro Kevlar L2K

The award winning and best-selling Forcefield Back Protector Pro L2 has evolved into the all new Pro L2K (Kevlar®) and is now constructed using Kevlar® thread for increased strength and durability.

Kevlar® has 5 times the tensile strength of steel along with high cut and abrasion resistance and ensures the strongest back protector available just got stronger!

Combined with NitrexEvo® a unique high-tech triangular shock absorbing material the Forcefield Pro L2K (Kevlar®) back protector is designed to be soft, flexible and comfortable whilst still providing maximum impact protection and conforms to, and exceeds the CE test EN1621-2:2003 Level 2 the highest possible level.  NitrexEvo® provides Repeat Performance Technology (RPT) to ensure that even after multiple impacts there is no loss of protective performance and 3D moulds to closely fit the contours of the riders back creating the ultimate in all day comfort.

The Pro L2K is constructed in multiple layers that are stitched and perforated in such a way as to allow partial movement of the inner layers. This movement has a dual purpose, to make the protector more comfortable by allowing it to mould to the body shape and to pump air through the multiple perforations to build up and ventilate between the back when in use.

Fully adjustable shoulder straps and double waist adjustment ensure a correct fit for different body shapes and sizes.

The ultimate all use motorcycle back protector from Forcefield Body Armour.

Features:

  • CE Level 2 protection
  • Cambridge Certified
  • Repeat performance technology
  • Comfortable and nonrestrictive

A worthwhile investment I tried three or four back protector pads for my jacket and none of them fit. In the end it was a blessing in disguise. This offers far more protection than the pad. I also tried on a Tryonic See+ protector ($99). I found it plasticky and not as good quality as the Forcefield. I am a 5'7" woman, and I found the medium to fit quite well. The only problem is that it tends to ride up my torso due to my hips. This is easily resolved by crossing the front velcro flaps in an "X". There is another review on here by another lady of similar size, and she explained this better with pictures. It does get a bit damp in the heat, but I wouldn't go out without it. It's otherwise very comfortable to wear! ECE Level 2, too. May 6, 2014
Every rider should have one! I was tossing up between this and the Pro Sub4. Got this instead as I'll be commuting mainly and it still offers great protection. I wouldn't say that you completely forget about it once it's on. I'd say you forget about it most of the time. Other than having a washable liner, this is pretty much perfect. I've used it 5 times a week (sometimes more) over the last 5 odd months and I'm still very happy with it. No signs of defects or wear. Yet to crash in it, fingers crossed, but it certainly feels like it would absorb impact very well. April 11, 2014
Almost forget you're wearing it Thick enough to make you feel safe, but light enough to be comfortable all day. Very adjustable and non-intrusive. February 11, 2014
Great protector Bought this as an entry level back protector for the track. Arrived quickly and is quite comfortable. It's also lightweight and flexible but feels like it would hold up fine in an off at the track (I have yet to test this theory). Good price as well. October 23, 2013
Wow! Amazing. Comfortable, light, molds to you, thin... perfect! Use the size chart. You'll love it August 27, 2013
Best way to protect your back! Bought this for my first track day in the beginning of June in Florida and this back protector preformed flawlessly (minus a crash which I hope not to test). The airflow was perfect and the way it formed to my back made it feel as if it wasn't even on me. Can't go wrong with forcefield. June 17, 2013
Good product, good price, but there are better for more $ I'm 6'0" 180Lbs, somewhat athletic, and got the Large. The protector fits perfectly, but I wish it provided shoulder blade coverage; the waist strap is a bit long for my 32-33" waist, but is manageable; the shoulder straps are a bit thin and can spread apart if you have a chest because there is no strap at the chest to pull the shoulder straps together. The back protector material has a firm but pliable resistance, so it will be effective at softening impacts, but the material bends forward and backward, so I wouldn't trust it to protect against bending the spine backwards (such as when sliding on the ground and hitting a light pole with your back). Exelent back protector I had tried other brand of back protectors but this one impressed me on how different it is with the strong soft armor. It just seems to contour to your back; very comfortable. I'm 5'9'' and the medium fit perfectly. May 9, 2013

RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
Brittney S: Needed to upgrade the foam pad in my jacket and revzilla recommends forcefield products. Wanted a stand-alone instead of an insert so I could wear it across multiple jackets Jun 16, 2014
A s: i wanted the lightest and most impact absorbing back protector that can be used again and again Jun 3, 2014
S M: Based on reviews and safety ratings. It was a much needed upgrade to the piece of foam that came with my jacket. It can get hot and sweaty when riding in the summer but it offers peace of mind when zipping through traffic. Apr 15, 2014
David G: Very comfortable, especially in winter as it keeps my back extra warm. I don't wear it in summer for the same reason. On spirited rides I wear this under my leather jacket which also has a very nice Dianese aftermarket slip in back protector - double protection! Dec 9, 2013
Scott L: Great Product ! Does what it says ! Nov 25, 2013
David H: Recommended by staff at Revzilla.
Level of protection offered.
Fits good and wears well. Only wish it was chest and back together as one rig.

Christopher B: This protector received great reviews and I am reassured knowing that Forcefield gives ALL of their attention to armor replacement and protection. Oct 27, 2013
Chad J: My favorite back protector! Best on the market! Great quality and fit. It molds to your body and you forget you have it on. It also has holds in it to blow air and it can be used multiple times if you fall. Nothing else is better than Forcefield on the market. Love this back protector and use it every time I ride! NZ1750455 Peter T asked: Trying to decide between this and the Sub4 (with the washable cover). Would be using it every day, temperate climate.
Are there wash instructions for the Pro L2K?
Do anyone using it daily find it getting smelly?

Vasil S: I've had it for a year and have never washed it, but it still doesn't smell (I used it daily). As long as you have clothes between it and your body, it's fine. The Sub4 seems a lot thicker and less usable on a daily basis. Nov 14, 2013

Frank S: I look at it and did not see any washing instructions. I have not had the opportunity to use it enough for it to get smelly . but like any thing I do not see why you can not just rinse it with some soapy water and then clean water and then dry it . it is a closed cell foam. I just would not put it in a clothes washer.

Andrew C: If you hang it up, it will dry fairly quickly...no stink yet...also spray in odor eaters, a powder spray, helps to ensure no bacteria growth. Dec 30, 2013

A shopper asked: Both protectors are the same price and the only noticeable difference is that the L2K has Kevlar. Do they both have the same kn of transferred energy, which one would you say is more comfortable, and which one ultimately offers more protection? Thanks Apr 13, 2012
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
RevZilla: The Pro L2 and the Pro Kevlar L2 are functionally the same. The L2K includes Kevlar stitching to increase the unit's overall tensile strength and longevity. May 1, 2012

Daniel Y: They are exactly the same. I've seen both the protectors as well. From what I've read, they offer the same protection of energy transfer. Only difference is the stitching is made with Kevlar now for the L2K, hence the extra K. The Kevlar stitching makes the back protector even more durable and stronger so it can withstand more of a beating and have longer durability. Oct 23, 2012

Brittney S asked: What's the difference between this back protector and the Forcefield Back Protector Pro Kevlar L2 Evo? Jun 15, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Peter C: Are u referring to the spec??? the evo is the newest model. I think the evo is an improvement from this model. Probably lighter and slimmer without sacrificing protection and by the looks of it, they improved the tail bone section so its now a separate piece so it moves independently. Jun 26, 2014

jeff P asked: My question is about back support. I have no concern about the protection aspect of the product, but I am older, ride a naked bike and need the support of the old Kidney Belts does this fit the bill?

Thank you,
Jeff
