excellent jacket! good pockets and great ventilation. I wore it during enduro race and it was nice to zip up on fast sections to keep warm and open vents in tight stuff to keep cool. I wore jacket OVER Leatt 5.5 protector with no issues. I usually wear med size and jacket is medium. had no problems with just jacket. my $$ was well spent. highly recommended.

I bought this to ride on the trails in cold wet weather over a base layer and my thor impact rig. As in a previous review, I agree layering is where its at especially in dual sport style riding. Plenty of great zippered pockets with velcro flaps. Well made with great venting. I love the collar style to keep the cold damp air out. I went for the camo style and realy think it looks ....well, Fly!

Excellent Value, Great Features
I bought this jacket on a hunch, and was proven right. I wanted a good jacket for adventure touring. Even the most expensive touring jackets combine: armor, wind/water proof, and insulation in to one big bulky package. Layering for the occasion is the ticket IMO. This jacket does everything I have asked it to do. It vents well when unzipped. It has great abrasion resistant elbows. It is quite wind/waterproof. Because I wear the shoulder and elbow part of my Thor Body Armor (unattached to the jacket) underneath, it is very flexable, with no armor flopping around or external straps to keep the armor in place. I will never buy a big bulky jacket again. Out of all the "shell type" riding jackets, this one has got to be one of the best. If you plan layer up with armor and thermal, go a size up. I normally wear a L, but had to go XL.

Big bang for the Buck
I'm a skinny tall guy ( 6'2)with wide shoulders which made a normal XL short in the arms and more of a euro fit ( tight).
The 2X is perfect with plenty if room for movement.
The Zip off sleves are super nice for the quick temp changes!
Air flow is super nice with the zips....
I only have 5 or so hours in the jacket and am super happy with the quality and price so far..
. I wish they would send out a follow up review after a year... That would be good info!

michael b: go over my icon body armor for off road ridingAug 3, 2014
Jean C: Style, hopefully it will keep me warm (Canadian summer=American Winter) Also liked the fact that it isn't plastered in logos of many colors....I'm 50 not 16Mar 31, 2014
Jonathan M: I really did not want to spend huge money on riding gear such as Klim etc. Seems like a good product for the price. I had to exchange the Large for an Extra Large. I normally run a large, but this seemed too tight around the shoulders for me. Plus I want to use my armor underneath and layer up when needed.Oct 8, 2013
Michael E asked:Does this jacket have back padding or just elbows?May 21, 2014
Rustum D:Hi Michael, there is a ventilation flap on the back but no padding. The elbows are reinforced with thick material, but aren't actually padded. The jacket is extremely well made and feels like it would take a fair amount of abuse while riding. The jacket is a small fit (short in the body, fitted across the shoulders, and tapered forearms), which makes it a very tight fit with body armor on, so go for a larger size. Hope this helps.

Jelle V:The jacket does not have any hard protection parts. On the elbows there is some reinforcement, like really thin soft padding and the outside material is a bit thougher textile. Thats it.May 22, 2014
Christopher R:The padding is only in the elbows......I have worn this jacket riding my dirt bike off-road and also on-road riding my adventure bike...I recommend this and would purchase again.May 22, 2014
Chris S:I normally wear a 42. I went with the xl to accommodate my armor, fits great. I would recommend the xl. The only ding I would give this coat is the collar flap. It doesn't have anything to hold it back if it isn't snapped closed. I pulled the snap and added my own Velcro. Much better now. Over all, I dig the jacket.Oct 24, 2014
Rustum D:This jacket is a very small fit, especially in the forearms (I'm not a big man but still struggled to get my arms into the sleeves when I had my armour on). If you normally fit a 44 comfortably, then I would recommend going slightly larger and take the XL. Hope this helps. All the best with your purchase.
FRANK E W:If you want to wear the jacket over body armor I would go to a size larger than you normally wear. My jacket is a loose fit but there is not enough additional room for body armor or a chest protector.Oct 22, 2014
