Great Jacket... With a Flaw
This jacket endeared itself to me very quickly as it's an ideal mid-layer when used over my base and under my Klim (Goretex) Powercross Pullover. It's comfortable and dry from 40's to 70's. The material is excellent and offers no resistance or binding. My outer layer slips right over it with no catching or snagging. It's basic style and comfort are excellent as a destination layer in rain or shine.
All that said, it does have one flaw... The zipper. While it does operate easily and normally, it had come off it's track when pulled to the top. This occurred without excessive force and under normal use. I believe the very top track component which is to keep the zipper from ejecting itself has fallen off. The zipper still did work, it just had to be placed back on track and not pulled to the top.
I've sent it back to FirstGear (EXCELLENT SERVICE REPRESENTATION) and am awaiting it's return.
Funny timing as when I returned from the ride when the failure occurred I was going to place an order for another.
As I've seen this problem reported elsewhere I think it may be a systemic problem. If so, I'll just fab some kind of "stop" on the track to keep it from reaching the top... As I simply don't want to ride without this essential (to me) layer.

Great as a liner or light jacket.
The medium was a true fit witch made it slightly too tight to be worn over clothing. I got the large. little loose but works well wen other layers are needed.

Excellent product
I am 5'8" and 135# with about a 38" chest and the small fits very well, like a European cut. It is warm and is supposed to be both water and wind resistant. Haven't tried it in the rain, but have worn it also without a jacket. Seems well constructed, warm and thin. Would highly recommend it as it is much less expensive than the Rev'it! equivalent (and I have mostly Rev'it! gear at home)

Wow - Wonderful Jacket
Used as a liner or on it's own this Jacket ROCKS! MY husband liked mine so much we got one for him. Looks great for just out and about and on a couple cold, rainy days in Baja we wore the liner with our Jackets and their zip-in quilted liner. We were both dry and toasty. This Jacket has so much style, looks great for any occasion and we get tons of complements on them ...

Great jacket.
Originally purchased to wear under Klim shell with a base layer in 40+ weather. Works perfectly for this application. Will also fit under my warm weather riding jacket for change of temperature at night. Now I do not need to take heated liners with all the wires and controIs. I also wear, when not riding, under my pea coat or leather bomber in very cold weather. Keeps me warm.

Perfect destination layer.
This jacket is a great lightweight fleece that has a nylon outer shell that is waterproof and breathable. It is the perfect jacket to put under a heavy riding jacket on cold mornings, or just for walking around once you get to where you're going. This jacket has a light nylon liner at the sleeves so if you're wearing a cotton or flannel shirt, the sleeve won't grab the shirt while you're trying to put the jacket on. Very nice touch.
The handwarmer pockets don't have zippers but I think this would have detracted from the nice clean lines of the jacket. There's a cargo pocket with velcro closure on the right inside of the jacket and a cell phone pocket on the inside left. So there's a decent amount of storage, but the zippers on the handwarmer pockets would make you feel more secure that you won't lose anything important.
I checked poor airflow because this is not supposed to be a riding jacket. It's supposed to be a windbreaker and it performs this task perfectly.
Firstgear's quality is top notch. I have a Firstgear Jaunt (older model) and this jacket. Firstgear's quality control is second to none. I'm very impressed. The stitching is perfect on both jackets. There are no hanging threads. The zippers are all YKK and work flawlessly. I am sold on the quality of Firstgear.
Revzilla shipped fast. Have never had to deal with customer service because they got my order right and their description let me know what I was ordering so there were no surprises. Great job guys!
This is a stylish jacket that fits true to size. It looks great. It offers warmth and is water proof. I recommend this jacket and definitely recommend any Firstgear apparel.

If you wear a 42 sports coat then you will probably be looking at a size Large, but since you're pretty tall then you'll need to consider sleeve length and I wouldn't be surprised if you want a tall, therefore a Large Tall.Revzilla has a video just for sizing Firstgear; it gives you all the info you need on how and what to measure for a Firstgear jacket.
