The EVS G5 Ballistic is one of my favorite pieces of armor. It is well made, and is perfect for hot summer riding. It is not CE rated for the street, so I usually wear it under a CE rated mesh jacket, which makes me feel really well protected. On REALLY hot days I wear the EVS without a jacket and it is surprisingly cool.
I took red and white 3M reflective tape (Harbor Freight $2) and cut it to fit the exterior armor plates, which turned the EVS into really zoot looking piece for Hi-Vis day/night protection.
I'm 6'2" and 230 lbs, the XL fits me quite well. The armor doesn't shift around, and the velcro kidney belt helps my back on long bumpy rides.
The G5 is perfect for Adventure Riding, which is exactly when I use it. EVS did their homework, it is quality gear. I highly recommend it.

I am fifty one years of age and yes gravity has found me around the belly area. I first ordered a "Titan Fox" 2x body armor, but fox seems to only want to make their body armor for kids of 18 years of age or thin and fast. Someone told me that EVS G-5 makes body armor for larger and rounder guys. The fit is outstanding, and the comfort is great as well. It breaths well but the way they have designed their back-armor does not breath as well. as the Titan. Fox gives you more and better back protection, which covers more of your back and kidney area. The Titan back armor detaches from the rest of the Fox body armor allowing you to where their back armor as a stand alone unit. Which is why I still own the Fox armor. (The back armor and kidney belt are adjustable enough to fit my roundness, however the rest of Fox body armor does not.) EVS body armor is made for larger people and its protection for the front, shoulders and elbows are very good as far as protection. Even the spine protector is still very well designed. And I would rather have a full body armor both front in back that fit me, than just having the back spine guard. I also have no problem wearing the Titans spine guard on top of the EVS. Bottom line, yes I would highly recommend this product. The helmet protects one organ. Body armor is trying to protect six organs. Do the math...
Yes, I recommend this product.
