e-Tint MX-8 Electronic Tinting Faceshield Insert

Developed for the Air Force, now adapted for the rider, the e-tint LCD visor insert is the world's first motorcycle insert with electronic tint on demand. Lighting conditions on a ride change fast, your visor should too. Experience the freedom and safety of riding without extra visors or sunglasses. e-Tint is instant, unlike adaptive photochromic technology requiring you to wait until the full transition from light to dark is complete.

In the blink of an eye, control your tint with the quick touch of a button, or set it to change automatically. So relax. Ride. Let your visor do the work.

Features:

  • Patented liquid crystal technology
  • Superior anti-fog coating
  • Fail-safe mechanism prevents insert from tinting when battery is dead
  • Additional UV protection
  • USB rechargeable lithium battery
  • Easy, no-tool installation

Note: The MX-8 is not compatible with all helmets and faceshields, specifically the Arai, HJC RPS-10 and Shark Evoline helmets.

e-tint review First off the e-tint got here with clear spots on it and in time more clear spots showed up. From pluging the charger the small board inside split open and broke in half. I hope you take this info to make a better product cause its a good ideal just needs lots of improvment. I havent tried the photochromic face shield cause I have got a joe rocket helmet and havent found any for those ones. But I am sure those are better then wasting 180$ on an e-tint that was good for a month and a half. June 21, 2014
do not buy- waste of money i have been using this visor for 5 months and white splotches have developed which no longer tint (probably due to the led layers separating) - this looks bad, is distracting and I feel i wasted my money for 5 months of use. will not buy products from this company again. very disappointed January 4, 2013
eTint Visor fail When i first saw the review on this product i was amazed. But since then everyone of my helmets that i put the eTint visors on have begun to splotch up with clear spots that no longer tint. It's really annoying because you get a bunch of little spots that do not tint and the tint isn't very dark anyway. October 17, 2012

RevZilla: Currently Shoei does not offer a Photochromatic Faceshield. The only other manufacturer to offer this option besides Bell is LaZer. Jan 10, 2013
