Dynojet Power Commander V For Harley Softail 2012-2015
I recommend without any reservations. I would do it again!
After a review of the available systems, I settled on the Power Commander V (PCV). Glad I did. I read the one review and it was low because for that model bike there was a bit of extra installation work and for that reason, they rated the product low. Not an applicable, reasonable, or accurate review of the product - in my opinion...
I however, did select and install the unit. Took about 30 minutes (including a search for a dropped seat strap nut).
Easy to install. Connectors are keyed, and the connections all makes sense including the O2 sensor optomizers. Black matches black, grey matches grey, etc. This is (in my opinion) a 1 beard installation (cause you have to remove the seat and wipe off some grease... otherwise 1/2 beard),
I immediately noticed no deceleration popping and smoother acceleration. Ran it on a short trip (130 mi) and ran great. MPG did decrease slightly since the bike is not running lean, but that was expected - on the highway - from 47+mpg to around 42 mpg. However, the PCV has an option to hold and switch between two (2) maps (nothing else does this that I know of...) and I plan to make one of them a leaner more fuel efficient version for road trips and the other more of a performance map.
I love this install and performance so much that I intend to continue with the auto-tuner option. Makes future bike changes a non-issue.
Easy installation and well worth the investment.

Specific instructions for Harley Breakout
I initially bought the Power Commander V for my 2015 Harley Breakout. I get about to the second page and in big bold letters has Specific Instructions for Harley Breakout.....for installation remove the rear wheel!!! So unless you are an in depth mechanic or like tearing your bike down for a simple install this is not the product for you. I'm sure for other models it's a great product. My friend loves his on his Heritage Softail. It was just more thank I was willing to get into which is why the low rating.

Daniel M:DynoJet lists the Power Commander V part number 15-022 for the Harley Dyna models, and part number 15-021 for the Harley soft tail models.
I ordered a Power Commander V part number 15-022 for my 2013 Harley Wide Glide. The unit ended up having a loose fitting wire that was causing an engine check light to come on.
Contacted DynoJet they gave me a return authorization number immediately no questions asked, and within a week they sent me out a new unit.
When I got the new unit I noticed that it was marked part number 15-021, (not 15-022) like the one I sent back.
I called DynoJet and they told me it’s accentually the same identical unit. Installed it on the bike and it starts and runs just fine.
All this being said understand that the Power Commander V series of units must remain installed on the bike for them to do their job. So though a single unit might fit both your bikes they can’t be on both at the same time.
In addition to this if you were inclined to move the PCV from bike to bike, you would most likely have to run a different map. The PCV is capable of holding two separate maps in its memory, however a separately purchased switch is required to make the change on the fly. Otherwise you’d have to get the PCV to a computer and remap it for the next bike application.
(Wiring a PCV through the tight confines of a Dyna model Harley is no easy task. It is tedious and arduous endeavor). Not something your going to want to do several times in a summer.Mar 30, 2014
