Dynojet Power Commander V BMW S1000RR

The Dynojet Power Commander V is a vital first step into the world of motorcycle fuel tuning. The ability to adjust your motorcycle’s fuel map is vital if you have added a high-flow air filter, aftermarket exhaust system or smog block-off plates. All of these modifications will, in some way, alter the air/fuel ratio in your engine. The Dynojet PCV, with its microprocessors and PCV Software, allows you to adjust your motorcycle’s fuel map up to +250%/-100% to ensure an optimal setting. Dynojet offers a large database of free, downloadable maps for many combinations of motorcycles and aftermarket parts.

If an available map does not suit your specific needs, a custom map can be built from the ground up with the aid of a Dyno. Furthermore, a fuel map can be customized on a per gear, per RPM and per throttle position basis. Both street and track riders will benefit from from the PCV. For example, a daily commuter may find it beneficial to have a low end torque map while the club racer would benefit from a smooth and peak power map.

The Dynojet Power Commander is the most well known fuel controller on the market, thanks for its capabilities and versatility. Take a look around the paddock at a track day, club racing event or AMA event, you will see the Power Commander V dominating the field.

Wow, small size but made a big difference on my bmw s1000rr. I put a akra full exhaust shorty and it did not run very good, so I bought this and got it installed. Now my bike is loud, more power every rpm specially at the lower rpm. Could not ask for more. Buy it, you will love it!!!

The Beemer is a rocket ...
I have just had Powerhouse Dyno Tuning at Nerang Qld. here in Australia install the Power Commander V and create a map for my 2010 S1000RR. It is coupled with a BMC air filter and the full Yoshi R-77 Ti Carbon exhaust system also purchased from Revzilla. The end result is 197.83HP at the rear wheel; of cause the numbers can vary from dyno to dyno but the bike and Yoshi system is running much smoother now. You would think it would be hard to improve on the RR standard setup ... but it has. The product as well as the technical advice from the guys here at Revzilla has been excellent ... thanks guys.

Must have
Must have if you add new air filter and exhaust keeps things running smoothly if not much better. Like the smaller design, and computer hook up compared to the PC3. Install can be a pain if your not a good wrench.

PCV for S1000rr
Install required time and patience and a friend to help with tank removal...s1000rr has easy fuel line removal on bottom keeping fuel spillage to a minimum...pay attention to injector connector wiring as it will impact putting tank back...instructions were good and install of this and auto tune took half a day including the temp sensor wiring, don't forget the electric grease for any of those splice connections. Would recommend product and would also recommend watching install videos as those helped knowing what install looks like.

easy install and great performance potential
i found this product very easy to install with good instructions. i downloaded the map from the dynojet site which gave me a good start but wasnt good enough. the map was only for a stock air filter with full akra evo system. i needed a better map due to an aftermarket airfilter i have. overall the product is great, but tuning on a dyno is a must,to get the perfect map for your bike and the conditions you ride in

I understand most of the process, and just have a couple of questions. If I simply by this kit without any other accessories, will it still work as plug and play? once installed, do you have to tune the bike on the PCV software or it is simply plug, upload appropriate map and I'm done.. ?
finally, will I have to look for a specific map for Australia since I won't have any auto tune or O2 sensors... ? or the location doesnt really matter unless you are on altitude?
Tiago d on Aug 19, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Don't take my word as gold as I am not a mechanic but yes you can install the PC V without anything else and it's a plug and play. No you do not have to do anything to the PC V but the PC V won't be doing anything until you upload an appropriate map. The dynojet website has a comprehensive list of maps with many different exhaust setups and locations I would find one that is your scenario or close to and you will be fine unless you are looking for every last ounce of HP at which point you would have to get on a dyno and have them make you a custom map.
Ride mode question. How will the PCV and mapping interact with the ride modes on my BMW (rain, sport, race, slick)? aren't these stock riding modes maps already programmed onto the ECU by the factory? will I still have use of the factory modes?
Jason B on Oct 18, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The Power Commander only controls the fueling, it has no affect on the various riding modes, as the riding modes affect, traction, abs, and throttle sensitivity. Rain mode will remain as a de-tuned mode. So in summary, other then your new fuel mapping, nothing else will change.

Before purchasing, you may want to locate a quality tune for the bike.
