DrySpec D20 Drybag Saddlebags

The DrySpec D20 saddlebag set is constructed of radio frequency-welded 22oz. vinyl that guarantees 100% waterproof performance even when submerged.

Unlike all other saddlebags, the D20’s interchangeable center strap is the core innovation that allows the bags to be so versatile. The bags mount directly to a bike with or without sideracks and can attach directly to other D-Series dry bags. Use the VELCRO® brand closures center strap for convenience, the solid nylon strap for extremely muddy conditions, or remove the center strap all together to mount the bags directly to a D28 or D38 dry bag.

Mounting the D20 saddlebags to the D28 or D38 dry bag is the ideal solution for riders who want the extra storage but are unable to mount traditional saddlebags due to high exhausts.

Features:

  • Modular packing mates with D28 and D38 (sold separately)
  • Universal slip-lock mounting straps
  • Interchangeable VELCRO® brand closures or solid nylon center straps
  • Mounts with or without sideracks
  • Retro reflective logo
  • 40 liter capacity (20 liters each side)
  • 100% waterproof radio frequency welded seams
  • 17” L x 6” W x 12” H
  • 22oz vinyl and coated Cordura

Great way to add storage to your bike.
Just went on a 1,200 mile trip with these bags. They work great did not encounter any problems with the bags. The only thing I wish they had some way to lock them. The reason I got the bags is because I didn't need to buy any brackets to go with the bags and they are waterproof. I just throw them over the back seat and they work great.

Road Tested
Bought the D20 in conjunction with the D28 for moto camping.

These bags are awesome, and the only complaint I have is that they're not lockable, so I'm always a bit wary when I leave them on my bike (even empty).

They are 100% waterproof when closed, and I have had no issues with them in the rain. My tent, clothes and gear stayed nice and dry.

Durable, aesthetically awesome, just enough storage for a few days worth of clothes, or camping gear, or the junk I usually lug to work.

Highly recommend these

simplest sadlebag solution for KTM 1190 Adventure R
I spent a lot of time checking different bags for my KTM 1190 Adventure R. Most of them require some kind of additional frame or support. Not these, just take the handle bars (not sure about the right name) for the person on the duo seat, and stick some protecting tape on the fairing at the rear. The straps that come with the bags allow you to secure them for even the toughest of rides.

The bags proved to be 100% waterproof. I used them in combination with the D32, but I had the D20 hanging from the duo seat, while the D20 was mounted on top of it.
I used it for a 5 weeks trip through most of Europe, doing over 8000 km with it, getting in on and of off the bike daily. And they proved to be very sturdy and 100% waterproof. And they looked great (orange on a KTM 1190 Adventure R)
The only downside is the price, but that never stopped me from being glad that everything was dry even after the heaviest downpour I ever experienced

Not for backcountry enduro riding
I wanted these bags to hold my camping gear when riding in the backcountry. Unfortunately these bags are not up to it. The stitching holding the straps on the bag ripped out when tightening the rear strap to the bike. One crash on my side and a plastic buckle broke, had to rig it to keep riding. I would not recomed this bag for some one who was going off road. It is waterproof and would be good for someone expecting something more like a bicycle bag. I ended up with the AltRider Hemisphere Saddlebags and that is made for extreme off road riding. Well worth the extra $200!!!!

Great stuff!
Been looking for the perfect side bags for my adv xr650r . These are about as perfect as can be. In not running pannier brackets so they sit a little forward so just watch it on the kick start.

Purchased the D20 because I have the D66 set
Needed more carrying capacity and I like the modular attachment to the D66. Great waterproofing on all their product lines. All the bags fit very well on my 2013 650 Vstrom.

For the Price Point these bags are worth the money
These bags are a heavy gauge PVC vinyl . Nice bags and very easy to install and use. Nice to know your gear will be dry even if you won’t be after a rain storm. They handle higher speeds well also. For the money, it’s worth it to pick these up for the occasional long road trip. I wouldn’t spring for these if the plan is to use them every day.

Not for me!
I thought I would love these bags but now I don't. They don't close well if you try to fill them more than halfway. The closures are a PITA to manage when there is stuff in them. The material has rubbed some of the paint off my bike!!

It's hard to find a bag that fits my Honda and although I wasn't really interested in the manufacturer's hard sidebags, I might just do that now.

Wanted something waterproof, semi rigid, but also collapsible. Purchasing for my husband. He uses his Honda CBR 600 as a commuter bike and there has been a considerable amount of custom work done to it. The simplicity/economy of these bags should work well, and they were the only ones that I could find that also came in white/light grey. The price seemed reasonable as well. Had you not had the video, I might have passed it up, those are super helpful. Thanks!

I love these bags they ARE totally water proof, a little small but perfect for commuting I bought the gray and they got dirty very quickly so if I bought them again I would buy the black

They will fit my bike, not many will. I saw an article awhile back and the guy had the grey ones on his Scrambler. A little research lead me to these. They looked nice too. I also like that they come off easy to take with you off bike.

I know sometimes you guys blow out the levels on pics so I was wondering if the gray bags are more gray than they appear in the pics? They look almost white here?
Darrin K on Sep 7, 2014
BEST ANSWER: A much lighter grey.
I was just wondering if these bags work well on a KTM 525 EXC, has anyone tried them? Also, do you know when you will have them back in stock?
A shopper on Feb 5, 2015
Hi , will the DrySpec D20 Drybag Saddle Bags not be affected my the exhaust system if fitted just over the saddle ? Thanks.
A shopper on Nov 11, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The D20 bags sit quite high when mounted over the saddle. If the exhaust is mounted in a "traditional" lower rear swing arm position the bags will not be close at all. I have a BMW K1300s and the bags were 6-8 inch's away. However, if the exhaust is an under the seat mounting location, like a Ducati 1198, the bags may touch. I hope this is helpful information.
what about heat protection from high exhaust? Vinyl will melt on pipe without it.
Wayne J on May 22, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I have a KTM 1190 Adventure, which huge exhaust comes very high which would touch the right bag. I ordered a simple exhaust heat shield. I didn't order the Dryspec one but one from Enduristan. Of course the clamp that came with it doesn't fit the enormous exhaust, but for a few euros I could buy one in the local hardware store. And with that the bag was kept a few centimeters from the exhaust which proved to be more than enough. No issues with melting bags.
Hi guys. Would these bags be suitable for my G650GS without any racks?
Jose Emiliano F on Nov 21, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I placed an order for these back in August. Do we know if they are actually ever going to ship?
Will this bag work on a 2014 Honda cb1100?
A shopper on Aug 6, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I cannot answer this question based upon the fact I don't have the mentioned Honda. I am able to say I've used Dryspec bags on my Indian Scout in very heavy rain driving from New Orleans to Houston and the contents remained dry. I have a number of Dryspec products and like them all.
Has anyone here tried these bags with a Yamaha TW200 with the standard exhaust and fender?
A C on Apr 6, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have mine on a Yamaha XT250. I fabricated my own racks so as to have adequate clearance from the exhaust.
