Fiberglass cloth heat wrap for extreme heat insulation up to 2,000 degrees. Perfect for wrapping pipes or mufflers when you want to keep the heat inside. Includes four 14" long ball-bearing and barb-locking stainless steel zip-ties.
looks fine, but
I would not use the clips that come with the wrap. I ended up using a type of clamp that you can screw down to secure the wrap on the pipe. That worked better then the flimsy metal that came with the wrap.
I bought this to keep the heat off of my right foot, not for the look.

Adam S:Paul, I believe the stock headers are 2" in circumference. Personally, I like the 2" wide heat wrap. More width, the more coverage and the cleaner and wider each wrap can be. It looks really good with about an inch space in between every wrap, though it is personal preference. I also have a bolt, and I have the Bassani Sweepers, wrapped in the drag specialties heat wrap. I suggest the 2" over the 1".Feb 4, 2015
Gerardo Iván M:The 1 inch looks nicer and it is easier to work on exhaust curves. The bad side is that you will need at least 2 rolls. It always better to have a couple of extra feet of wrap than been short on it especially when you have to take down the exhaust to wrap it I use almost 75 feet on my triumph Bonneville . But I think my pipes had more surface to coverFeb 4, 2015
jason t:The bigger wrap made it easier to get a double layer going on. I can now touch my pipes after a good ride and not take my skin off. Just be aware that it going to burn off. Pick a spot where you don't have to stop. Feb 3, 2015
Filip L:Hi Mason, sorry for the confusion. The heat wrap comes in 25 foot rolls that are either 1 inch or 2 inches wide. The stainless steel ties that come with the heat wrap are 14 inches long.Aug 28, 2014
jason t:I got the 25' roll and was able to wrap my header on my xr650l from the head to where the muffler slipped on. Still had about 8' left. My header is a double down to a single. Worked great. I stopped burning my pants and it's looks great on the bike. I would suggest doing this. Jul 24, 2014
