Dainese Women's Temporale D-Dry Jacket

Designed for the Women's touring needs and suitable for riding in adverse weather conditions, the Dainese Temporale D-Dry Jacket combines function and comfort.  Constructed with a waterproof and breathable D-Dry membrane, a removeable thermal liner and air vents on the chest and sides to keep the rider dry and happy. Customized fit is possible from the Cordura Comfort fabric and the multiple adjustment points throughout the jacket.  Removable shoulder and elbow protectors, a pocket for a back protector (not included), and reflective inserts complete this stylish jacket.

Answer: 
The Dainese Women's Temporale D-Dry Jacket offers removable CE approved elbow and shoulder armor as well as an armor-ready, back insert pocket. Back Protectors for this pocket are sold seperately and include the type G1 Dainese Wave G Back Protector and the size SM Forcefield BackPad Insert Pro for Dainese.

When choosing protection, there a few factors one should consider. The first is the type of protection you are seeking. The Forcefield armor is soft and protects you by absorbing shock upon impact. Alternatively, Dainese's back protector is stiff and crushes upon impact. Though it is always hard to predict which form of protection will withstand a crash better, CE ratings tell us that the Wave G has met or exceeded CE level 1 standards and its Forcefield counterpart has received CE level 2.

Moreover, another variable to consider is use. The Forcefield back protector is multi-use. As in, the back protector is designed to be used again post-crash. Conversely, the Dainese back protector is designed as a one-time use only back protector. Think of it like a helmet, it is there to do its job. Once it fulfills its purpose, it should be replaced!

And finally, another factor many people like to consider is comfort. Are you more inclined to wear your back protector if you barely notice it is there, or will you be comforted by its presence? Ultimately, it's your spine. Do your best to protect it!

The temperature range in which the Dainese Women's Tenporale D-Dry Jacket can be used will depend on your tolerance to cold and heat. Each person's tolerance to temperatures will be different which is why there are no right answer to that question.

I would personally say that the temperature range in which the Dainese Women's Tenporale D-Dry Jacket can be used would be 25 to 75 degrees.

SIZING INSTRUCTIONS

We highly recommend finding a cloth tape measure and taking the time to take these measurements. Dainese sizes will not necessarily correlate with fitment in other brands.

  • Chestwidth: Measure from under/top of armpit cross chest to under/top of other armpit, then across back to first armpit
  • Waist: Measure at the hourglass of your torso, (circumference measured at your belly button)
  • Hips: pelvic bone to pelvic bone, the widest part of your hips below the waist
  • Inseam: from crotch to big ankle bone
  • Outseam: from waist to big ankle bone
  • Gloves: Using a flexible measuring tape, measure around your hand, behind the knuckles, not including the thumb.
