Nice looking protective pants
I originally ordered these pants in a 25 because I wear a 0 in regular pants but I could not get them over my butt. So I returned them for a 26 which fit well in the legs but I have to wear a belt to keep them from riding down or just getting pulled down when I'm in riding position. They are pretty stiff and at first I had trouble lifting my leg over the motorcycle just to get on but you get use to it. Sometimes they rub me pretty raw in the bend of my knee but oh well. These were the only pants I could find that were protective and looked nice.

Necessary evil
Having recovered from a recent motorcycle accident (hit from behind), I wasn't going to take another chance with major road rash. I did some research and most kevlar options are not attractive. These are the most stylish I've seen, with a low waist and form-fitting/skinny jeans cut.

But, they are not comfortable. I think this is due more to the kevlar than anything else. I am 5'4", 112 lbs and got the size 25. I tried the 26 size and the thigh area was too big. The waist is borderline too low (and I love low waist jeans), which is especially noticeable when leaning over on the bike. The denim is so stiff, I can barely sit. I'm hoping that after numerous washings, the denim will give a little.

Overall, I'm still glad I bought these because protection takes a higher priority over comfort. My current road rash is proof of that.

Inseam too short
I am 5'10", 145 lbs, with an athletic build. I ordered these in a size 31 (I also ordered the D19s in a size 30, which was super snug and too short). The top of the pants was much more comfortable than the D19s in a size 30, but the waistband rode extremely low. I bent over in these and showed more crack than a plumber. The inseam was also too short.

I think these and the D19s might fit great on a shorter woman, but really didn't work for me.

Good, with some work
After trying on every pair of remotely straight/skinny leg kevlar jeans in my size, these are one of the two pair that I actually kept. But they still weren't great "off the shelf." Dainese seems to think ladies are shaped like bullfrogs. These jeans have a huge waist, crazy tight hips, and baggy legs.

Because of the hips, I returned my original order for a size larger. Then I brought the new jeans to a tailor, who took in the waist and streamlined the legs from about mid-thigh down. The inseam is also very long, but I'm just dealing with that by cuffing or scrunching them. With these alterations, the jeans are pretty good. They were uncomfortable at first (I spent my first ride thinking "oh god I've made a $250 mistake") but softened up a bit with wear. And after the alterations, they're definitely the most attractive riding jeans I've tried. They don't have multiple bulky layers throughout. They don't have crazy fading or ridiculous embroidered graphics. The knees are reinforced but the stitching is subtle. They just look like regular old straight-leg jeans for the most part, which is exactly what I wanted.

way too small, but weirdly big?
I have the dainese D25 denim pants so I figured my sizing would be consistent throughout. I wear a 26 in those jeans, but based on all the reviews of this pant I went up a size to a 27. I couldn't even get these over my thighs! They were sooooo small. So I returned them and ordered TWO sizes larger, a 29. These I could get on, and they seemed to fit fine in the waist but they did exactly what the other reviewers said..showed MAJOR butt crack! Sad they couldn't work out...they looked really nice quality like all other Dainese products.

Not made for a woman
Way too small, ordered two sizes bigger and still didn't fit. I got them on but could not even move. Absolutely no stretch in the denim and cut too short; didn't want the dreaded butt crack reveal.

Stylish and great quality - but not meant for curves
I love these kevlar jeans. After lots of searching, I decided to purchase these as they were the perfect balance to me of protection and style. However, I had to size 2 sizes up to accommodate my hips. I have a 24 inch waist but 36 inch hips and I had to go up to size 27 before I can get the pants up over my thighs/hips since the pants did not have any stretch. This was expected though - the waist is really baggy on me but for now I am belting it and will eventually get it tailored.

Not meant for hips or butt
I love Dainese gear, I own many of their jackets, however I had to buy Alpinestar pants because Dainese seems to only make jeans for women with no hip/butt. I have a small waist and curvy hips and these jeans have NO room for even a slight butt. If I go up a size to fit my hip/butt the waist is 2-3 inches loose. Not a great fit at all but hope they come out with riding jeans that fit more of a curvy figure.

Awesome look...made for standing still
I was so excited to find these! I've been looking for a great skinny jean with kevlar for a while. But....

These jeans look good and fit well while standing up and walking, but the legs are were so tight and stiff that I could not bend my knees AT ALL, which kind of makes the idea of sitting on a bike ridiculous.

I'm 5'9" and 140 lbs and ordered the size 30, which is my regular pant size. Ordering a larger size did not help, as the waist was far too large and slid down when I tried to bend, with a belt on. The legs were still an issue.

Super bummed, search continues.

Short, athletic girls with thighs and glutes shouldn't bother
I love Dianese gear. The euro styling is really my thing. I'm 5'2" and 125#, muscular in the legs yet petite frame. I wear a size 26 in normal jeans (JBrand and Paige). I ordered these in a size 28 and a size 29 after reading the recommendations to order up a few sizes. Still no bueno. I couldn't get them up any higher than mid-thigh. I don't want to trouble myself with any more sizes, I wish their sizes made more sense.

Kevlar weave protection was biggest selling point. Unfortunately, it was extremely stiff and tight and did not give (as in, no elastane) and ordering the next size up, it was too big at the waist and of course, too long. When I say stiff, I mean, it literally was so stiff I couldn't easily pick my leg up to straddle over my sportsbike. Felt like circulation was cut off as well -- note, the stiffness is in reference to the D19K, not the D19.

Where is the kevlar? Just knees, or more?
A shopper on Jan 10, 2013
BEST ANSWER: The Kevlar in the Dainese Women's D19 Kevlar Jeans is woven into the denim throughout the jeans. Additionally, there are bonus Kevlar panels in the knees. The stitching throughout the jeans is Kevlar, as well. Basically it's a Kevlar party in the pants and all the Kevlar is invited.
Maybe I am confused, but can someone explain this sizing to me? It does not seem to match the size chart according to the numbers. The size chart goes from 38-50 and the ordering sizes are in the 20's and low 30s . Thank you.
A shopper on Sep 10, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I got this pants. The sizing is exacting what I would wear as normal jeans. The sizing chart might be as Europe sizing.

So when you are ordering just order the size u would wear as normal jeans. If normally u wear 26, you can order size 26.

Just to let u know that it is kinda fitted. It is not stretchy even after a lot of wash. So if u buy just fit, when you go over the motorcycle, you might feel some restriction. However, it is much safer than riding with normal jeans.
Hi there Revzilla and community.
So I typically wear a 28 jean... but can be a 27 or 29 or even a 30 depending on the jean. I'm 5'4, about 140 with an athletic build- big strong quads and a big butt. The trouble I have with jeans typically is whether or not they fit over my hips and butt, and tightness in the thighs. Any sizing advice?
Thanks!
Hannah S on May 6, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hi Hannah,

I just recently bought the d19K riding jeans. I am 5'4" and 115. I ordered my regular size jeans, but they were definitely too tight in the thighs and butt. I ended up ordering the next size up and they fit, but they are still pretty slim. I like them that way though. After a few washes, and rides, they fit pretty well and are less stiff. The only thing I don't like is the waist is a little big. I wear a belt and always wear a long shirt tucked in. Once you find your size, they are great jeans with some protection that look good after you are off the bike.

I would definitely size up a couple sizes to start. Hope this helps some, Melanie
it sounds like these run smaller than other Dainese jeans, i wear a 25 or 26 in the D25 model, what do you reckon in these? 27?
Meryle S on Mar 4, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I will say get the same size as your normal jeans. I wear jeans that are 25~26 and I got this D19 size 26 and it fits perfectly. I will say 26 should be okay for you but keep in mind this textile is very hard and does not stretch at all, so it might be a bit uncomfortable to wear.
Is there a panel where I can put a knee armor?
Evangeline G on Dec 7, 2014
BEST ANSWER: No.
Hi, I tried my girl friend's Dainese D19 Jeans 27" but it's way to big for me. I usually have 26" or 27" for most of regular jeans. I measure the 27 inch Dainese jeans and it's like 30 inch. I wonder what size of jeans I should order from Dainese. My hip is 34.5" Waist is 30" ( but all regular jean i fit with 26" or 27" never bigger than 28") and inseam is 28"?

BEST ANSWER: Hi, I usually wear 25" ~ 27" for regular jeans and I got D19 size 26 (length 30) and it fits perfectly. Any size smaller will be way too small as this kevlar jeans doesn't stretch at all. My hip is also 34.5".

BEST ANSWER: I've got to be real here, I'm a guy but skinny and have often had to turn to "womens" skinny jeans so I'm familiar with the fits.

These jeans are cut almost in-between guys and gals skinny jeans. I did notice that the waist was roughly 1-2 sizes bigger than the listed size.

I'm usually a size 5 (27/28) and find that this generally translates into a size 30 for mens jeans. In these, a 29 was my perfect fit. 30 was too wide and the 28 wouldn't stretch enough to close.

That said, if you're ever looking at the d25 when they restock, they are stretchy and seem to fit truer to size (I'm a 28 those, but can also do a 29).

Hope that helps somewhat.
