Not made for a woman Way too small, ordered two sizes bigger and still didn't fit. I got them on but could not even move. Absolutely no stretch in the denim and cut too short; didn't want the dreaded butt crack reveal. October 15, 2015
way too small, but weirdly big? I have the dainese D25 denim pants so I figured my sizing would be consistent throughout. I wear a 26 in those jeans, but based on all the reviews of this pant I went up a size to a 27. I couldn't even get these over my thighs! They were sooooo small. So I returned them and ordered TWO sizes larger, a 29. These I could get on, and they seemed to fit fine in the waist but they did exactly what the other reviewers said..showed MAJOR butt crack! Sad they couldn't work out...they looked really nice quality like all other Dainese products. May 29, 2015
Inseam too short I am 5'10", 145 lbs, with an athletic build. I ordered these in a size 31 (I also ordered the D19s in a size 30, which was super snug and too short). The top of the pants was much more comfortable than the D19s in a size 30, but the waistband rode extremely low. I bent over in these and showed more crack than a plumber. The inseam was also too short. I think these and the D19s might fit great on a shorter woman, but really didn't work for me. February 26, 2015
Nice looking protective pants I originally ordered these pants in a 25 because I wear a 0 in regular pants but I could not get them over my butt. So I returned them for a 26 which fit well in the legs but I have to wear a belt to keep them from riding down or just getting pulled down when I'm in riding position. They are pretty stiff and at first I had trouble lifting my leg over the motorcycle just to get on but you get use to it. Sometimes they rub me pretty raw in the bend of my knee but oh well. These were the only pants I could find that were protective and looked nice. January 16, 2015
Almost great. I purchased these pants for my wife as a gift. She typically likes gear that is safer than non-motorcycle gear and still stylish enough to wear out in public for the day. These jeans really meet those needs. For some background, my wife is 5'4" and 115-120lb with a 26" waist. I ordered the 26" size Short. These turned out to be absolutely a perfect fit in length, waist, and rear side. The issue she has with the pants is the restrictiveness around the thighs and hips. The first day she went to hop on the back of my Triumph, she had to go change because the only way to get her leg up high enough was to get a running start. Okay, not quite but almost.. It definitely took a special move with some momentum to get her leg over the bike. I really hope that over time, these jeans begin to loosen up in the hips and become more comfortable-much like a stiff pair of Levi's that just need time to break-in. January 5, 2015
Wish I returned them when I had the chance I bought these along with the D25 jeans, same sizes. But they have a different fit, though both hang low which I prefer. Unfortunately, these D19 jeans are just WAY too stiff. No give in the legs or crotch...I had a hard time swinging my leg over my bike, for fear I'd rip them. They fit fine, standing up. I no longer wear them, opting for the D25s instead. I wish they still made the D25 jeans. I will need to look for a new style. Though I am wary of buying the Kateville as I'm afraid they will be like the D19s. December 15, 2014
Exposes your rear when seated The waistline sits right at your hip bone so expect the bottom to slide down and expose everything while you are in the seated position. The jeans are a little stiff due to the kevlar threads so when you sit down they pinch your stomach. I've heard dainese products are the best quality so Ill keep them despite the lack of comfort. December 11, 2014
Jeans are made for slim people The fit for my legs are fine. However, for my stomach and hips, the fit is tighter than expected. After a hot day of riding in these, it is not easy to take off. It's pretty stiff when I first tried it on. Had to wash it a couple of times and wear it around the house to break in the jeans. September 29, 2014

RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
Agnes R: Not really sure. The pants are like wearing a PVC pipe. Sep 23, 2015
Pamela M: Best riding jeans period. Aug 18, 2015
M D: For protection, comfort, and fashion Mar 9, 2015
MEGAN T: Kevlar weave protection was biggest selling point. Unfortunately, it was extremely stiff and tight and did not give (as in, no elastane) and ordering the next size up, it was too big at the waist and of course, too long. When I say stiff, I mean, it literally was so stiff I couldn't easily pick my leg up to straddle over my sportsbike. Felt like circulation was cut off as well -- note, the stiffness is in reference to the D19K, not the D19. Nov 7, 2014
Kathy B: Needed riding pants. I do not plan on falling again. However, if I do, I would like to be prepared. Oct 1, 2014

A shopper asked: Maybe I am confused, but can someone explain this sizing to me? It does not seem to match the size chart according to the numbers. The size chart goes from 38-50 and the ordering sizes are in the 20's and low 30s . Thank you. Sep 10, 2014

Julie K: I got this pants. The sizing is exacting what I would wear as normal jeans. The sizing chart might be as Europe sizing.

So when you are ordering just order the size u would wear as normal jeans. If normally u wear 26, you can order size 26.

Just to let u know that it is kinda fitted. It is not stretchy even after a lot of wash. So if u buy just fit, when you go over the motorcycle, you might feel some restriction. However, it is much safer than riding with normal jeans.

Pamela M: Actually these are the Kevlar which don't stretch so after measuring your waist perhaps order a size up. Sep 17, 2014

A shopper asked: Where is the kevlar? Just knees, or more? Jan 10, 2013

RevZilla: The Kevlar in the Dainese Women's D19 Kevlar Jeans is woven into the denim throughout the jeans. Additionally, there are bonus Kevlar panels in the knees. The stitching throughout the jeans is Kevlar, as well. Basically it's a Kevlar party in the pants and all the Kevlar is invited. Jan 11, 2013

Alessandro T: is there also bonus kevlar in the hip and butt area? Mar 5, 2014
Hannah S asked: Hi there Revzilla and community.
So I typically wear a 28 jean... but can be a 27 or 29 or even a 30 depending on the jean. I'm 5'4, about 140 with an athletic build- big strong quads and a big butt. The trouble I have with jeans typically is whether or not they fit over my hips and butt, and tightness in the thighs. Any sizing advice?

Melanie S: Hi Hannah,

I just recently bought the d19K riding jeans. I am 5'4" and 115. I ordered my regular size jeans, but they were definitely too tight in the thighs and butt. I ended up ordering the next size up and they fit, but they are still pretty slim. I like them that way though. After a few washes, and rides, they fit pretty well and are less stiff. The only thing I don't like is the waist is a little big. I wear a belt and always wear a long shirt tucked in. Once you find your size, they are great jeans with some protection that look good after you are off the bike.

I would definitely size up a couple sizes to start. Hope this helps some, Melanie

Vivian I: Honestly, I would look at another pair of jeans. I usually wear a size 30 jean and these fit fine in the hips and butt area..if I'm just standing in them. BUT....they wear pretty low and the cut is very odd fitting in that I can barely sling my leg over my bike without fear of ripping the crotch. There is no give in the fabric. Maybe because of the Kevlar. And also because they ride low, I have to make sure my jacket is covering my backside, or else, I'd be flashing my panties. I wore them once, and they're gathering dust now. May 6, 2015

" ": Hannah:

1. The jeans are awesome.
2. You need to go up at least a size
3. They are sized slightly small but the bigger consideration is that they have Kevlar woven in. This means there is NO give in the denim. Normal denim has a bit of stretch. These do not. Given how you have described yourself, go AT LEAST 1 size up.

I am 5'10' and 130 lbs and I went up 1 size...maybe should have gone up 2 sizes...

Meryle S asked: it sounds like these run smaller than other Dainese jeans, i wear a 25 or 26 in the D25 model, what do you reckon in these? 27? Mar 4, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Tina C: I will say get the same size as your normal jeans. I wear jeans that are 25~26 and I got this D19 size 26 and it fits perfectly. I will say 26 should be okay for you but keep in mind this textile is very hard and does not stretch at all, so it might be a bit uncomfortable to wear. Mar 5, 2014

Krista G: I wear a 26 or 27 in other Dianese jeans but comfortably wear the 28 in these. The 28 is a little baggy - but without any stretch - I need the extra room to ride comfortably. I think that you are exactly right that the 27 will be the correct fit for you in the Kevlar jeans. Mar 4, 2014

Carrie L: I would recommend the 27. They run exceptionally small. The legs are very slim fitting and the waist is low cut. I actually found the tightness of the legs to be uncomfortable and not sure how they would feel on the bike. Hope this helps. Mar 4, 2014

Tina C: Hi, I usually wear 25" ~ 27" for regular jeans and I got D19 size 26 (length 30) and it fits perfectly. Any size smaller will be way too small as this kevlar jeans doesn't stretch at all. My hip is also 34.5". Apr 28, 2014

Joseph P: I've got to be real here, I'm a guy but skinny and have often had to turn to "womens" skinny jeans so I'm familiar with the fits.

These jeans are cut almost in-between guys and gals skinny jeans. I did notice that the waist was roughly 1-2 sizes bigger than the listed size.

I'm usually a size 5 (27/28) and find that this generally translates into a size 30 for mens jeans. In these, a 29 was my perfect fit. 30 was too wide and the 28 wouldn't stretch enough to close.

That said, if you're ever looking at the d25 when they restock, they are stretchy and seem to fit truer to size (I'm a 28 those, but can also do a 29).

Hope that helps somewhat.
